Congrats Angela! Your pictures are beautiful and you and your husband are precious together! Saab did a wonderful job capturing the moment. One question in particular for you. Was your aisle runner platform (something hard to walk on) or was a just a regular soft runner? Did you wear heels or flats as you walked down the aisle?

Thank you for replying. I will Google and see if they are established in the states! Good luck with yours!

Hi past brides, question, once you received your photos back from your destination photographer (and if you didn't have them create a photo album) where did you go to have your photo album and parents album created? Did you use an online website? If so, where? It seems so time consuming to do it by ourselves online, so I'm just wondering if there are photography studios that will actually create albums.
-
Hi Joanne, I haven't received anything as of yet. The bride before me told me she'd mail it out to me once she got back, so I'm still waiting and hoping she does.

Went out friday but drink way to much so had to make up for it Saturday night by dancing the night away until 5am..... yes Vanity is open that late. Here are a few sneak peak's from the weekend, trust me you don't want to see all the pictures lol

Mrs. T where did you get the magnet to adhere to the back of the starfish?
-
This is a great idea regarding the magnets! Man if I hadn't already gotten my starfish tied up the way I want to be I'd surely do it. My wedding is less than 3 weeks away now anyhow. My guest s will be thankful regardless.Originally Posted by futuremrstgun
hello ladies!
i bought ALL of my starfish from two BDW brides..not sure of the size...one batch (the one i dyed) are real..and one batch (i spray painted those) are fake...some of my starfish are quite large..probably 5 inches and then the others are small...2 to 3 inches...
i've seen them all over though...ross, marshalls, etc..i don't think we have an xmas store here..but i'll be on the lookout from now on.
i'm not doing placecards as i want my guests to sit where they want..but i love the idea of using them as placecards..one other thing you might consider is attaching a magnet to the back with a dob of glue and voila..not only will they serve as placecards but then they can become a refrigerator magnet..a nice reminder of the great time folks had at your wedding in paradise. ;-) i'm pretty sure i'll be doing that for some of mine..which will be given with our welcome packets upon check-in at the hotel.
until next time, happy planning!!!

That's funny lol usually it's the bride running late not the minister. Okay great. I moved my ceremony time back to 4 from 4:30 to give ourselves time for any unforseen bumps in the schedule.
How's marriage life?

Beautiful wedding pics! We too are using Sun Gold the associates RS for our pictures. How long did it take for you to receive your wedding pictures?
-
Thanks for the info girlie! Appreciate it! :-)
-
Wendy what time was your ceremony in Jamaica?
-
Would a 4pm ceremony be ideal for us? We're getting married in September.
-
Quick question for you ladies...what time are you guys having your ceremony at the Suites?
-
Hey girlie question for you, was Kim the resort photographer or someone that you hired from the outside, or brought with you from home? In some ways I wish my fiance had visited this resort when we went down for our site visit last Nov. We're getting married at Iberostar Suites in 3 weeks. It's a great resort and I was sold on their one wedding per day. How many weddings per day does Sunset allow?
-
I bought the same topper from Weddingaccessories.net/com

BEAUTIFUL WEDDING SHARAN! Wow I would've loved to have been at your wedding to experience all the different ceremonies and just appreciate the different cultures. You also opened my eyes to see how much more Iberostar can offer outside of the restaurants for receptions and what not. Thanks for posting. I'm looking forward to my wedding now more :-)Originally Posted by Sharan
Hello Ladies,
My husband and I got married last month at the Suites and I thought I would add my experience here. While I have not posted much, I have found tons of useful information from this thread and wanted to return the favor. I had meant to write a full review, but hae not been able to get around to it, so I thought I would give some basics and let you all ask what you want to knowJ .
Wedding Dates: July12-14th
Wedding Group Size: 152 guests
Events and Venues: Mehndi night- Lobby terrace
Nigerian Wedding- Steak house restaurant
Indian wedding- dome atrium area
Christian Wedding- Lazy river Island
Reception- conference room
Vendors: Florist/Decorator- Jodi Ann with Tai Flora
DJ- Kevan Stewart for the reception, Hotel DJ for the wedding
Video- Carlos with DigiPix
Photographers- The Studio B Photography (based in Atlanta)
Regarding Jodi Ann (I have seen a lot of posts about her), the best way to contact her is via phone. Just call the toll free number and ask for her. She goes over things with you on the phone and sends pictures while you are chatting with her. Also, most of the stuff will be handled in the days before the wedding when you meet with her. The same goes for Nicole. While she is not good at replying emails, when we met with her prior to the weddings, she had all the details we needed. And anything you need to change or add last minute is not a problem.
I don’t have a lot of pictures yet, but our photographer’s have posted some on their blog. Under the “Categories†heading, look at “Destination Weddings†and you should be able to see our photos (there are 4 posts). Just click on each heading to see the full post.

Overall, I wouldn’t change a thing about our wedding. The venue was perfect and all of you future brides will have fabulous weddings!

We've decided to our TTD the morning after our wedding. Much easier for me and I can just gave my mom and best friend my dress to bring back home while my then new husband and I head off to our honeymoon! 3 weeks to goooooo!!
-
What time are most of you having your ceremony? Ours right now is at 4:30, however, I'm debating on moving it back to 4, even 3:30, just so we have enough time to take our photos without feeling or being rushed to do so during the 1 hour cocktail hour slot.

MrsD is Marcia making an album for you as well?

Can anyone suggest the best place to have the cocktail hour after the ceremony at the Suites? This way the guests are out of our way as we take pictures without any distractions?
-
I hired Jan's Florist! Very accommodating, helpful, replies to emails. Worth it!!

I'm currently work on a playlist. I did a seating chart. Fiance's suppose to burn the cd for the ceremony and first dance cd etc. I'm using an outside dj. 25 days to go and I feel like I need more time!

welcome letter..if anyone has a template please send it my way
pack-i just order a hard shell suitcase so waiting on that
DJ-play list...is anyone doing this..or just trusting the DJ?
cds-ceremony cd, and first dance cd
I was wondering do you think the resort will allow me to put up an itinerary in the lobby? I just have so many guest coming or have RSVP but I don't know if they really reserved rooms. So they may not get the welcome letter.
Are you guys doing a seating chart? I am trying to avoid the headache
what about a guest book? do people really look at them after their wedding?

R, where did you get the Jamaica backpacks? It's funny I'm here putting together our pretravel brochures along with our Jamaica free brochures and the backpack would be perfect to include either before or in our guest OOT bags in Jamaica.
