Were you charged the DJ fee of $150/ hour for the ceremony all the way til the reception....yikes Is there a way you can have the DJ control the music without being charged for the ceremony portion?

Beaches r/t price? I thought they were on the pricey side. My MIL 2b chose Holiday Inn r/t price as well you will be fine...its all nerves...look whose talking lol im currently working on passport invitations through a company...I need to move on because I find a problem with every draft (details etc.) I am getting anxious...I am so ready for November...sigh

Seems like we are in similar boat. I am using Sungold for photography (wonderful couple to be around). I am stuck on centerpieces and scarred to go through the hassle with Tai flora. I did receive an email from Joann, but never heard from her again after several attempts to proceed. Her prices were high! Rashel will be doing my make up (looking forward). My wedding is in November...are you nervous? How many guests are you expecting?

If not I will do the champagne and punch/water at this time. For dinner I will do wine for toasts (that's if we only have champagne served once).

Does anyone know how the cocktail appetizer menu work regarding drinks (water, punch, etc.) if you choose an appetizer only without a bar does that mean the guests will have nothing to drink?

I have tried the gel coat. Unfortunately it did not last 2 weeks for me. It definately is better than a regular french manicure, because it lasts beyond a day;however, it began to chip after day 3. I think there are variable factors involved. How strong your nails are, the technique the shop uses, UV light, etc. I would do a trial before hand if I were you.

One more question regarding the cocktail party. If you go with the warm and cold appetizers menu, are drinks such as water or punch included? Do you have to add an open bar for your guests to be served non alcoholic beverages?

If you had 40 guests would you rather rent out the restaurant for $800 and pay $150/hr for DJ or do a semi private dinner and rent out the mango disco walk for $350 (DJ and open bar included)? I am concerned about decorating two locations. Also if I was to hold my reception at the Gourment Restaurant is there enough room for dancing? Thanks

Thats good to know. I was wondering the same in regards to sandals vs. barefoot. Mrs. Smith what would you recommend for the guys on the beach? Has anyone done reception programs for the guests or majority just go with the flow programless?

Thanks Mrs. Smith, Yea I was thinking it must be tiny for 25-40 guests. Than why does it have to cost the same $800? I guess I am better off shooting for them because we all know how guests drop our left and right without saying anything until last minute. The only down fall to eloping! But no regrets! The artificial flowers you chose for the huppa were included...Did you have options to choose from or the standard greenery?

Is it best to go for Meditarranean if your group count will be below 40 guests if you are wanting a private reception? Meditarranean is 25-40 guests. Anyone have any feedback on the Meditarranean. I wonder why they hosts smaller guests? The prices are $800, so why is Meditarranean only up to 40 guests?

Mrs. Smith, Did Nicole give you an option to switch to the Meditarranean restaurant or was that too booked as well...I think the info says 25 minimum. Doyou think that is a better alternative for smaller groups. If a reception was semi private do you recommend still decorating? Did you get in the pool the days before the wedding? I will be there 3-4 days before the wedding as well. How did the days before the wedding come out?

Saw your review. Congrats girl! I am so happy for you. You look stunning! Beautiful set up and decorations. That stinks that you were not able to have the reception as private. How come this was not verbalized? I have been reading other brides on here able to do a private reception. Is 50 a must at the Gourmet? how long were you allowed to have semiprivate? Did they work something out since the communication was poor? How was the music bar? How much? Did Nicole set up all your decorations? Did anyone go to the spa for hair, nails, or make up? How did the weather turn out? Windy?
