  1. Wow~~~ I LOVE these photos (and that is great because I am considering this venue!) Does anyone know how to get in touch with Jehda to ask her about the vendors that she used? Â Thanks!
  2. I have a question for the brides that have visited La Ceiba or held their wedding there: What is Puerto Morelos like? What is the atmosphere of the hotel like? Do you think that a group of wedding guests in their late 20's-early 30's would get bored at the resort and not being close to PDC? Â Thanks!
  3. Hello! Â I am considering La Ceiba for my wedding and was wondering if past Ceiba brides could answer a few questions. First, I am getting prices of minimum over $200 for a double room and $450 per double room for the gourmet-inclusive plan. Did your guests take the all-inclusive plan? Do you think there is any room to negotiate.... those prices seem a bit high for my guests. Â Second, I was what the town of Puerto Morelos is like. Is it worth exploring? did you guests feel stranded? How hard was it to go to Playa del Carmen? Â Thank so much! Â playaboda
  4. Hello everyone! Â Trying to decide on how to structure my Riviera Maya wedding, and one idea is to accommodate everyone at an all-inclusive, and then do my wedding off-site (somewhere like Al Cielo? or maybe Ana y Jose or Zebra in Tulum?) Â I need your help picking a good all-inclusive that might work for this plan! Â Basically, I want an all-inclusive that feels intimate, has a Mexican-rustic vibe to it, and has great service. There might be some families with children, so the all-inclusive needs to either allow children or have a nearby resort that allows children. Costs should be no more than $200 per person per day. I would like the resort to have a nice beach. Â To give you an idea of what I like---I thought that El Dorado Royale was unbelievable. But they don't allow children and there is no good nearby option! Â Thanks so much! Â playaboda
  5. Hello! Â I am new to this forum, but can see everyone gives some great advice! I am trying to plan a wedding in Playa del Carmen for 100 - 150 people in March-April 2011 and would love your advice! Â Â I am looking for reasonably priced accommodations (approx. $150) for most of my guests so we can all stay together. I want the hotel to be clean, chic, tranquil, have a nice beach, and have a rustic-Mexican feel. I would prefer that it not be all-inclusive. I would like it to be within 10-15 minutes of downtown Playa (i.e., not cost $40 to get to town). Â BONUS: It would be great if the hotel had some semi-private ceremony space (chapel or secluded beach) and a fun reception space where we could party late (until 2am!). Otherwise, I will just hold the wedding off-site. Â The Fairmont Mayakoba looks nice and seems to offer some cheaper options than other hotels. Does anyone know how much their room packages are and what the options are there for weddings? What other hotels are comparable to that sort of feel? Â Thanks! Â playaboda
