Happy to hear about your shower! I also got the treat bags from michael's and will staple folded card stock over the top of them. We had a pretty productive wedding weekend!! Took care of two craft projects today - our place mats and our photo prop signs. I'm pretty happy with the way both turned out!! Also had a good shopping haul yesterday. Found soft lips lip balm with SPF 20 in it at the buck store 2 packs for two bucks!! We also found big enough pool floaties there for $1.50! Went across town to another Walmart to look for aloe, but still no luck. All I need for the Oot bags now are aloe, Tylenol packets, pepto and if I can find them, Gatorade powder packets. Does anyone know if we even have Gatorade powered packets here in Canada??

Oh and for the ceremony programs I am making them on vistaprint postcards and using sticky dots to attach them to the centre of raffia fans. Instead of traditional programs I am putting the schedule for the day with the locations for each event, that way fi's dumb ass friends won't get lost and be late!!! Oh and my mom was at my resort this week to meet with our WC and she bought us a cocktail hour on the beach!!! Yay!!!!

Eeeee I'm getting nervous!! I have my hair extensions being put in on Tuesday!!! From there only one week till my bd shoot!!! I just kicked my own butt at the gym, and will need to keep going every day until that shoot!! Heading to Michaels today for a big shop, anyone know how I get those 40% off coupons? We also need to hit the sex store for lube packets for the Oot bags, hunt down some aloe, look around for some pool floaties, order our last vista print order and order labels for our bubba kegs, first aid kits, seat card flags, and hang over kits. Oy!!!!

Tris~ your dress looks incredible!!! I LOVE the back!!!! Grey's~ I agree with Lisa on the labels, mixing it up a little will add sone depth to the table! Lisa~ congrats on the weight loss!!! No easy feat for sure I am so happy for you!! You'll have to let me know how the teeth whitening goes, I have my consultation on Thursday. Michelle~ enjoy your shower!!!!

Laura you can also get the flip flops online, they have a bunch of styles for $2!! That way you don't have to worry about them not having your size too!!!

Oh and thanlks for the aloe tip! I checked at our Walmart a couple days ago but still no luck, I'll need to start checking at others in the area!

Bailey~ I am flying Transat also and I know there are some upgrade options that might help!! You can do a semi upgrade for about $79 round trip that allows more baggage (10K). It also includes some drinks and things! Here is the link http://www.airtransat.ca/en/info/option-plus.aspx?ExitID=62&ContentType=voyageur You can also upgrade to Club Class, which gives you 88lbs check in and 22lb carry on! Also unlimited drinks, extra food etc. This is the one we're doing. They have something new called "Kilo Flex"too that if you let them know in advance how much extra you're brining it's cheaper! (I think $8 each way) I think upgrading your class is the way to go that way you get a lot more for your money than just the extra baggage, and it's cheaper!!

Queen ~ EXACTLY!!! I am going way outside the box with the reception decor in order to have something unique on a budget. We are going "Vintage Whimsy" complete with Pinweel centrepieces, matching placemats made from the same scrapbooking paper, swirly pops and table signs made of the same paper and scrabble tiles (my FI is obsessed with scrabble). I am also ordering tons of buttons and plan to have them scattered on the tables as well as in jars to add pops of colour. I am still flip flopping on whether to also have some small floral centrepieces but I'm changing my mind daily. My vision of the reception is nearly there but the ceremony... not so much! I feel like even though it's a destination wedding, it's still a wedding and it needs to reflect our personalities just like it would if we were at home! In case anyone is interested, here is the paper that is the basis for the reception decor. I found a great seller on etsy who is making adorable pinwheels out of it for me. http://www.shopsei.com/largeImage.cfm?heading=0&cat=8&sub=297&product=3242 I've decided to rent white Chiavari chairs for the ceremony... now I just need to find a way to spice them up!

You're probably right. Our resort doesn't include any flowers. I am obsessed with not having a "typical" beach wedding so I've been really going out of my way to make it stand out. I am afraid it is driving me crazy though!

Thanks Ella!!! Being in Canada it is tough to order that stuff online, because it costs an absolute ton to ship. In most cases it costs more than the product itself!! I've been waiting for it to come out at the dollar stores, but still no luck.

Oh and any of you ladies had any luck with Aloe? At this point I'm thinking I might just a big thing of it and divvy it into little travel bottles with custom labels.

Do you ladies ever feel like you are over shopping/ over thinking your decor?? I feel like one day I like something and the next I don't like it anymore! With only 40 days til we leave I need to finalize things soon!! I was going to get various sizes of paper lanterns in green and turquoise and scatter them around the ceremony site in the sand to add colour, with some smaller sized ones beside the chairs that line the aisle. What do you girls think? Would that look good? To balance it shoudl I add a coloured strip of tulle to the huppa? Ahhhh I don't know!!! Sorry... slight panic

For BD outfits I really like the idea of steaing something of your FI's to wear in the photos. I'm thinking I'll bring one of his ties, on of his dress shirts and maybe even his favorite watch. Aside from that I'll be using angel wings that the photog has, a multistrand pearl necklace and lingerie. I hope this helps!

I am doing swirl pops too!! I ordered them from Oriental Trading. I'm using them as seating cards. There will be one at each setting with a flag around the stem made from the same paper I'm using for my placemats, table signs and pin wheels.

Oh Lisa that poem is wonderful!! What a beautiful tribute. We put an "In Loving Memory" page on our website with photos of each of the 6 people we'll be missing that day. It has a quote from Xavier Rudd's song "Green Spandex" have you ever heard it? It's lovely (despite the strange name)

Thanks for the support ladies. Tenny I think wearing her ring is a lovely idea. I'm going to have two photo charms done up for my bouquet, one of my grandparents and one of his parents. Also I ordered all of my jewelery and my bm's jewlery including my hair piece from a seller on Etsy that donates money from every sale to the cancer society. Since we lost FI's mom to cancer I thought is was a nice, subtle way to honour her. It's tough to find a balance between including them, but not turning the occasion somber. Oh and FI's mom loved carnations so he is going to wear a carnation and button mum boutenniere. I think you have it perfectly Tenny - honour them in ways that you can feel but everyone else may not realize. We just need little reminders that they are there always here with us. Oops... sorry for the multiple posts but for the foundation I am in love with Rimmel 25 hour foundation. I use it everyday, it stays all day and it's the best for coverage. I plan to bring it to the salon with me and have the make up artist use it on the day of the wedding.

Oh and between us we only have one parent (filling in the parent info sheet for my resort was a depressing excersise lemme tell you!!) It's my mom and I ordered her a mother of the bride tank top with a martini glass and a shoe on it, a personalized tote with our picture on it with mother of the bride and the date and I'm sending her to the spa for a massage while we're there. It is really sad, both my FI's mother, birth dad and step dad have all passed away, his step dad just last year, and now his one aunt who really stepped in when his mom died was diagnosed with ALS yesterday. It's looking like she only has a few months to live I just feel so horrible for him, the only family he will have at the wedding is his half brother and one cousin. It's like no matter what we do there will be a dark cloud over our day because his mom won't be there. Are any of you doing any memorials at the wedding?

Tris I can't wait to see your dress! I'm probably going to have the same issue... I told my seamstress that I'd be losing five more pounds before my next fitting... we'll see how that goes!! I wish I lost weight from stress... I'm a stress eater to the max so I'm really having to struggle to stay on track!! My BD shoot is less than two weeks away now!! I think that is even more motivating than the wedding!! I'm taking my dress as a carry on, and will have the resort come to my room and steam it once I'm there. I'm there for a full week before my wedding so I'm going to get it done early and have it hang in the humidity all week. It should be fine!!

Thanks Brandy! I would have loved to get them on etsy but I didn't find any that has spf and they all seem quite expensive. I was hoping to spend a buck or less.

Lua your poems are brilliant! I love them! Can I vent about something? I am getting INCREDIBLY frustrated about the shipping charges for everything... All of the good stuff is in the States and the prices are so much better but either they don't ship up here or they charge more than what the item is worth just to ship it!!!! UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I am struggling to find chapstick ofr the oot bags. I want some with spf and have found some great deals in the states but I can't get it up here!! Anyone with any suggestions??
