  1. I just bought my dress today - "Kiri". I got it off the rack for $750. I guess it's discontinued, so the sample was in awesome condition, because it barely got tried on! The original price for the dress is $1300 - so I was pretty happy with $750. I never would have selected this off the rack, as I'm not usually a "sash" person - the consultant picked this one for me, and as soon as I put it on, I didn't want to take it off. My MOH, who was with me, started tearing up. cry.gif Awww...

I've had that happen to me so many times before.

We can't watch them on cbs.com in Canada :(

Luckily, Global puts them on their website for us Canadians!

  3. Thanks for the suggestions on places to look, ladies. Just bought my Maggie dress at Bridal Debut in Sherwood Park - off the rack - yipee!! It was discontinued, so it was marked down and in wicked shape!

Novelle Bridal was great too - I would definitely recommend it. I had two chosen from there that I loved, but then as soon as I tried on the Maggie at Bridal Debut, I fell in love with that.

Haha...that's going to be my wedding, except all the guests are my FI's family and friends. It will just be me and my MOH (and maaaaybe my parents - they won't give me a definate answer).cry.gif

Bwaa haa...Christian Hanson and the Autistics - love it! FI & I love them. We were going through our music collection a couple nights ago and jokingly said we should include Pump It on the play list! That's funny that your bro actually did!

I don't have any awesome stories like these. The last wedding I went to was an old friend from highschool. We really talked for the last five years - just drifted apart. About a month before her wedding I get a text message - out of nowhere - from her asking "Hey, what are you doing February 27th?" I'm like..."umm...nothing....why?" She replies, "I want to invite you to my wedding." Ok...that's weird. So she asks for my address so she can send me a proper invite. The invite never actually comes (because it likely didn't exsist). She has so many excuses - "I thought my FI mailed it and he thought I mailed it"; "we moved and had trouble finding it."

Whatever...so she ends up texting me the address and times for the ceremony/reception. Once we get to the reception venue, we realized why we got the "last minute invite". The place was over half empty!! Obviously a lot of the people they had invited didn't show and they were trying to fill seats.

So during the speeches, the groom's Aunt gets up to do her "speech" which goes something like this: "Over these last few days we've got to meet the bride's lovely family and I thought it would be nice to introduce you to our family." She then proceeds to go through the entire family tree for about 25 minutes listing every f-ing family member and how they're related and their kids names and blah blah blah blah blah...it was the WORST!!!

Made me swear - no random family members/friends will be giving speeches!!!

I hear ya! We're fotting the bill ourselves too....and sat down at the beginning of the year to figure out what we needed to save. It sucks when our friends are heading out for a night on the town, or dinners out, and we usually have to say no b/c we need the money for saving. It'll be worth it in the end, but sometimes its hard to see that when you feel like you're missing out on stuff!

I feel the pain of this as well. It especially hurts because my parents are helping my sister pay for her DW, but are not contributing anything to mine. sad.gif

I LOVED that book!!! Even though it's over 800 pages I plowed through it!! I would stay up until 2:00 am reading cuz I was so into it (and I have to get up at 5:30 am for work!) I've been done since last Thursday and am going through withdrawal as I wait for my online book order to arrive with the next part (along with a bunch of other books I ordered after reading people's suggestions on herecheesy.gif). Need to read more about Lisbeth!

OMG...you picked a bad one to miss! It was awesome!! The fighting was awesome...even if that was probably one of the least intelligent arguements I've ever heard. Just the worst, pathetic least-witty banter I've ever witnessed - but I loved every second of it. This is how horrible it was:

Rachel: Whatever, Kristen. I won HOH and you didn't Kristen: Whatever, Rachel...two out of four HOHs isn't that big of deal...so....whatever...

    rofl.gif

Like...that was her comeback. Bwaa haaa haa lol.

Also...Kristen is weird. I'm not "team Rachel" or anything....but Kristen is CrAzY...
