Oh and I also forgot to ask you.. did you ask for the upgrade on the room when you got there or did they just give it to you? We were stressing about whether to book the honeymoon suite automatically, or just hope for the free upgrade when we get there.

Well congrats and thanks for your review.. its nice to finally hear from a bride whos doing it a little more low key like myself. I have a maid of honor and 7 guests. We of course didn't see the need to pay for a private reception ,but I was wondering did you and your group just choose and restaraunt and go to it to eat after your ceremony? The WC are telling me they cant make a reservation for a small group or anything unless you're having the private reception. I just sort of wanted that security that we know where were going to have dinner at and that we didn't have to wait if it was full- sort of stressing over that.But you said they had rose petals on the table and stuff for you? You didn't pay extra for that correct? But if they refuse to make a reservation for (wow, only 7 people!) then i guess we should just arrive early so we don't have to wait and hope to get seated together? Any input would help! Thanks

I agree its crazy..ive sent like 10 emails in the past months with various questions- no response. Then all of a sudden i get this random email from Gaby answering a question i asked Ana like 5 months ago!!! what??? They better pray they everything works out, because i'm coming armed with my emails and documents in hand!

Ladies I know this may be a weird questions, But i am one of those who's choosing to do my own hair because I'm a hairstylist, and well my trust level with other stylists isn't that high lol.. but I was checking some pre-wedding checklists on google and it mention to check with your resort to make sure they have normal outlets in the rooms to plug stuff in? Otherwise you may need a converter? Has anyone heard of this, or any brides who've already married at Dreams Riviera Cancun- can you tell me if they have "normal outlets?" lol I'd appreciate any response!! <3 My dreams come true at Dreams Riviera Cancun 1/17/11 <3

Thanks for your review on tripadvisor also- I stalk that site daily =) I'm still so up in the air about the room- we have the pref club ocean view booked, and from what i hear the wedding couple usually gets upgraded, but what if its not avialable? I really want the extra space and bigger balcony in the honeymoon suite- but it is like 400 or 500$ extra to change to that room, when we may just get that upgrade for free when we arrive. anyone have thoughts on this??

Hello! I am 1/17/11 at DRC. Super frustrated with the planning and the coordinators, but still getting excited each day that passes =)

Linhy.. I'm flying USA 3000 and im bringing my dress on the plane. Its not an enormously poofy dress so i'm just getting a regular nylon garment bag from Amazon.com and folding it in half- this way it pretty much does meet the size guidelines for a carry on- and i will just count that as one of my carry ons. I plan to just keep it in my lap, or lay it over suitcases in the overhead bin, but if the flight people give me any trouble i'll just bust out the karate moves!!! =)

Princess 402- I'm with you here. Mine is just over 3 months away and i've seen some posts on here of brides who arent getting married till april,may, june of 2011 and they're getting e-mails. Its frustrating, but like everyone says we just have to try and be patient as hard as that is!!

Ana told me this exact thing..I have Juan Navarro- a 3 hr package with him. Theres no need for him to have a food pass or stay over night, so she said to me I'd only have to pay for a day pass for him. You better believe i'm printing every single coversation we've ever had and bringing it with me for backup!!

[email protected] There should be NO fee other than the daypass for the photographer (because im using an outside photographer- juan navarrro) I have emails back and forth with Ana from before and she stated we'd just have to pay for photographers 1/2 day or full day pass- thats it! The one and only reply i've gotten from Gabriela was.."we will try to honor everything you and Ana talked about" I am freaked out with all these changes!!! god i need a drink lol...

Anyone happen to know who the new vendor for flowers is? I contaced by e-mail Maya Diseno Florist (from a previous bride who posted their website) and i got an email back stating they were no longer the florist for dreams. The examples of flowers Gabriela sent me for my package are not pretty or tropical at all =( and I want to see if i can contact the vendor to see what flowers will in season in January, and maybe get a better bouquet than in the pics she sent. Are there any other brides on here whos wedding is coming up that have hired Juan Navarro as their photographer? I've booked him for my January wedding there, just curious so i can watch for his reviews and pics! I'm also a little nervous with all the changes going on at the resort..i'm afraid they'll say "oh, well we changed our mind you can no longer bring in an outside photographer!" thats when i pass out from anger and emotional craziness. lol =) I've already got a contact with him and a deposit down. I check his site evey day for new pics posted.. just curious if ANYONE else on here is using him? =)

 I KNOW how frustrated you are. It seems like all the brides have this exact issue though. My wedding was confirmed a couple months ago with Ana, but since Gabriela took over for Ana she sent me one e-mail saying something about not confirming the restataunts for the wedding receptions till 1 week prior to wedding date, since then i've sent her 4 very important emails about details and its been 3 weeks and still nothing. My travel agent has even tried getting in touch with them. =(

I want to know this too! Is the huppa thing the white square thing they put up on the beach that we see in all the pictures? I was going to bring fabric for it myself instead of paying an arm and a leg. =)

I am getting excited every day that passes..but also stressing over a few things since the communication is terrible and lack of response with the coordinators. But i'm holding on to hope here.. all the brides return and say Ana gets it all done when you get there!
