  1. @ JayKay: a few questions if I could....I have just taken the time to actually sit and go through the Vistaprint freebies....OMG, why didn't I do this before. So, at this point I have done a bunch of stuff and just saved it (to my cart). I just started to look at purchasing all the items in my cart....but couldn't seem to find a way to process them all....without having to do each one individually and pay shipping on each item???? I don't mind paying shipping but think there should be a way to simply order all items and have one shipping charge....Any suggestions? Thanks!

First thing I did was sign up for their emails, which includes specials.  Then I kind of just played around with some things, added some things to my cart (with no intention of purchasing).  Then a few days later they started sending me daily emails with specials which included tons of free things.  I got all my stuff for free, just had to pay shipping, which can really add up to Canada!  And I always chose the 21 days shipping and every time I have probably received my stuff within a week.

  2. Me too...I'm also in Calgary....I'll take 30 if you have them? Thanks so much! I have some questions about Vistaprint...do you mind if I run them by you?

I ordered labels from vistaprint for kleenex packs in our OOT bags. I ordered them as return address labels (because they were free!) and so I'm getting 140 and only need 20.  If anyone is interested in taking some, they're free (just pay for shipping). I'm located in Calgary if anyone would like to just pick some up.  I ordered them today so I don't expect them to arrive for a while.

I haven't talked to them but do you mind sharing some pricing?  Is it a per person charge or a flat fee for the boat rental.  Is food/drinks included?

  4. I have booked La Bacarazza (sp?) for my guests following my wedding day. I customized it to what I want. I even added on hours. Part of my bookings is I want people to be able to get off the boat and get in the water...we make two stops for swimming/water time. One is a stop at a "hot springs??" and the other is snorkling. They provide the snorkling equipment for $10 per person. You can have snacks and drinks instead of a full meal....touch base with them ....they are easy to work with.

How's next Tuesday (June 7th) for everyone to meet up?

  6. Funny you should post this site. I ordered a dress from these folks in china. Took 4 weeks but got it friday. I also read all the reviews and asked them lots of questions before I ordered......i'm sad to say...it is nothing like how it displays on their webpage. the detachable strap for the dress is dirty. the top part of the dress is ok but the bottom which is suppose to be white chiffon is actually polyester and off white...not sure if its faded or dirty. Very clearly they didn;t take my measurements and make me this dress. I went with them cause I am a plus size and they had so much to choose from. If my seamstress can't do wonders with with dress, I will defintiely NOT be wearing it.....Ladies be warned.....these sites from China are deceiving!

Before I order dresses, I especially review http://www.inweddingdress.com/measure.html for directions.  It helped me a lot when taking measurements.

  7. So, I got a good deal. Stopped in Old Navy tonight (before sale day). Was checking out the flip flops. Sales girl says to me --flip flops are on for $1 tomorrow....ya, I know I say. So I ask her, if I buy tonight can I get a price adjustment on them tomorrow...she checks with the manager...yes, they will honour the $1 price for tomorrow, but I'll need to stop in tomorrow before closing to do that....OK, 15 pairs of flip flops in my bag! Nice, don"t have to fight the crowds tomorrow.....and ya know, some only had larger sizes left...like ladies size 10 & 11.

  8. You know...there is sooo much great info on here, includiing all the templates, wording for different things, etc....that I just bit the bullet and paid the $30. It has helped me get a start on things I need to be doing....I've gotten less for $30 elsewhere many, many, times! Including a family trip to McDonalds even!

  9. Thought I would fill in my fellow Cdn brides with some info.

    1) Last night at Costco I purchased a product called: Health Balance: Diarrhea Relief. I read the ingredients and compared it to Immodium, which was also there. Same ingredients. It was 9.99 for 84 caplets. Inside the box were 14 packets containing 6 tablets each....I will include the ingredients + directions in the bag with each packet. I love it....and no shipping from the US.

    2) I just went through my flyers and spotted some good deals. Here they are: Giant Tiger: has an item called a "water wallet". They come in different colours, appear to be a hard plastic case, have a seal/lock sort of thing and come on a lanyard thingy. They are on sale for $3.97. They also have some casual ladies sandals on sale. They look like a cork flip flop - for $5.

    3) Jysk has an item called "moon lanterns" on sale. They hold a tea light/candle in the inside and are surrounded by glass. I already bought these and they are fabulous. They come in about 4 colours (I bought yellow). I'd say they stand about 8 or 9 inches tall. On sale for $3.99.

    4) A liquidation type of place called : Smart Deals Canada has pashmina's listed for $5..and it says compare at $34.95??? The picture looks good. Think I'll check it out.

That's my update for now! LOL

  10. Ladies,

I went to my local AMA (CAA) for the rest of Canada probably and got both a thick travel book and a separate map for free as I am an AMA member. Map is good enough to use to sign and book has lots of info on the DR you could add in your welcome booklet or brochure!

Please can someone tell me where I can get one to buy, or if someone has one thats good quality they're looking to sell please let me know.

    Thanks

  11. The wedding planner I purchased my sashes from here in Calgary, said to iron them and then roll them....they will not wrinkle that way she says....

Question, for the sashes that you are buying, are you going ot have a set for the ceremony and then a set for the reception? Also, what about once you get to DR, are you going to have to steam them or will they not wrinkle? If you are steaming them, are you doing this or paying for the resort? I thought about bringing my own sashes since they are a ton cheaper, but i will have over 140 of them, so not sure if i will have time to steam (assuming they will be wrinkled) and i never inquired about the resort steaming.....

    Thanks!

  12. Yes, I am also suddenly having delays in email responses. I am long booked with deposits down and some plans made (confirmed ??). I am on the 4th WC since I booked---and as of my last communication it should be Awilda (sp?). It has been over a month since she or another answered a lengthy email I sent with about 2 dozen questions. So I followed up two weeks ago, and then a week later and now this coming Tues will be another week....my last notes reads something like...."hello, anyone there?"...LOL.  I realize they are getting into busy season, so perhaps they prioritize based obn wedding date?
