  1. Hey Jreist, The servers definitely prefer US dollars! We took cash but I am quite sure there is ATM on the property. The reception desk also has alot of cash on hand for exchange to US/Jamaican dollars
  2. Number 1!! beautiful! Both are gorgeous on you but number really looks amazing!
  3. Thanks Coconoir! I still loved my dress but still had MAJOR dress envy. You look amazing in it AND no hair or makeup yet. You are going to look soooo beautiful! Well i know how much that Lazaro costs soooo i know why you didn't let your mother get near the desk at the time to pay! LOL If i would have gotten that one i would have said yeah don't worry about it i have more than enough money for this! ahahahah. I could never let her know how much it was!
  4. LOVE this dress. I saw this one after i bought mine and wanted to change it! My mother (who had purchased my dress) said that's to bad you already have your dress! LMAO BEAUTIFUL!!!
  5. Hi Pintsize1, I had 65 guests and they just let everyone choose off the menu at the recpetion even though she said she wanted a week or 2 before hope this helps!
  6. Hi Daisymable you can cancel upto 24hrs before. If they know its for your wedding they might even be more easy going!
  7. Hi Eholt, besides the gourmet resturant (which requires long pants) everything else is causual. Just like no bathing suits for dinner And kids can be any where at the suites that why i choose it instead of the grand! Rosemarie
  8. CONGRATS Chanelle! Just try to enjoy the day and don't sweat the small stuff it will all turn out beatuifully. God's blessings on your special day!
  9. Thank you Futuremrstgun! Yup it was pronovias galante! I choose this one because i wanted something fitted and then flare at the bottom. I didn't have much time to try on gowns (as i live in bermuda) so when i went home to canada i choose it the first day in the second store! Happy planning the day will be beautiful!
  10. Hi shanas, Here is the documents the WC will send about a month before. It pretty much just a restating of wedding details price list that she sends you 2011 Last Wedding Details 2011.doc
  11. Hi tlogan00, CONGRATS!! I would say first order of buisness is to email the wedding coordinators and check if your dates are available. Iberostar in Jamaica is VERY busy so make sure you do that first to you don't get disspointed. You can always cancel and that's better than it not being avaible for when you want it. I am paritial to the suites property because that where i was married BUT the beach resort was beautiful as well! If you get married at the suites though you have access to all the resturants and activity at the beach hotel as well. The grand doesn't allow for children and it alot pricer than the other two. But you might be able to score some deals which would save your guests alot of money.
  12. Hi Mizzrojo! Thank you so much! The hair dresser who did my weave actually just left my edges out all around and my good friend that (that is also my regular hair dresser did the styling. I cannot speak more highly of demuretresses hair!
  13. Thanks for all the nice comments ladies regarding the pictures! I am really happy with the way they turned out! XO Rosemarie
  14. Congrats Julie! Try to enjoy every moment and all of Gods blessing on your special day
  15. Hi Daisymable and IslandBride201x, I answered above the question for starrysim as i saw her questions first. But yes i did use calabash and these centerpieces were WAY extra! lol i put the pricing above. I used Taiflora and i had lilies I am not sure what type in the bouquet. I just sent them a picture of what i like for my bouquet and the copied it exactly. i was very happy with the outcome
  16. Hi Starrysim, I wish my centerpieces were that price! lol. and we did use Tai flora I broke the bank with flowers. it was the only thing i was going to do for decoration and i didn't do oots bags or anything so i spent the money there. each centerpiece was 100 dollars!! i had seven of them. My bouquet was a extra 100 dollars. I also rented the table cloths from tai as well which like 25 dollars each. As well i had mother of bride/mother in law /grandmother wrist corsages and two centerpieces for my head table. a few other small extras and the bill came to 1700 dollars. but i was SUPER happy with the outcome and I am still really happy with the way it turned out. they were pretty accomidating if you did have a budget at first i said 2500 but then wanted to cut it down so they brought down the price on the centerpieces and table cloths. I will say though they were super bad to work with as they never got back to me for weeks on end. But i have heard calling them is the way to go!
  17. Hi ladies! My pics are up on marcia roberts site http://www.jamaicanphotography.com/ rosemarie and keshawn - Iberostar just in case anyone wanted to see more of what calabash setup was like!
  18. Hi Starrysim, They will based the cake size on the amount of guests you have. you won't have to pay anything extra. we had 60 guest so they gave us a three tier cake which was more than enough for everyone. we kept the smaller tier and took to our room and still had a tonne of left overs from the other tiers.
  19. Hi ladies, I read that trip advisor review and all i have to say is WOW not nice at all!! My wedding was about 3 weeks ago and Yes Nicole doesn't get back as soon as we like yes more communication is needed but she is a REALLY nice girl and has alot or responsibility on her. She is only one person. She has one person that assits her. I think people have to remember that destination weddings cannot be like a home wedding where you can make every little decision look at table cloths, taste cakes and meals etc. Only so much can be done from far away unless you hiring your own WC. In the end everything turned out beautiful not perfect but what wedding is? Don't let that review get you down your wedding will be BEAUTIFUL XOXO
