I just got my sample sashes. I plan on bringing them. What is your color scheme? Who is your DJ? and Photographer? I think from now on I am going to take it easy. I am constantly stressing things....I am stressing about school...my job... and we are about to purchase a house. So if I can be less stressed with the planning and know that when we get there everything will work out..it will really help me out!! It can be so stressful, I can't believe you are about to buy a house on top of all this. Good luck with the home purchase. How early did everyone start contacting their wedding coordinator? Mine said she would not be available until April due to attending weddings on site from Jan-April. I don't know how much of it I can start planning now...
  4. Are you having an indoor reception or are you playing extra for the plated?
  5. It looks absolutely beautiful. I too have been debating on the resort photographer but your pictures look wonderful! Congratulations!
  6. I have not been to MP but I have been to Aventura Spa Palace, if the restaurants are similiar (which I would assume they are) I would not recommend the steak house. The steaks were delicious but the sides were not good, the appetizers came out cold and everyone only ate one bite of dessert b/c it was not good. Personally I like the Asian restaurant best, however, I guess it depends on what type of food that you like. If you are able to wait until you get there to decide, you may want to choose based on the ambiance of the restaurant so it can match the mood you want for your wedding dinner.
  7. @jodymichelle you are correct on the TTD sessions. They take pictures under water or out in the ocean. They are more artsy type photos. If you go to the vendors section and look at any of the photographer's work they usually have examples of ones they have done.
  8. From what I understand the Grand section is on the golf course with no Ocean views. It is newer so the rooms are supposed to be nicer but its further away from the ocean and pools. We are staying in the Sunrise section, according to whoever my MIL talked to, it's suppose the be the "rowdyiest" of the areas, so I am not sure why exactly she wanted that area. I understand that the Asian restaurant in the Grand section has the best sushi though.
  9. It can be very frustrating getting guests and BM to cooperate, but its important to remember, they don't have the knowledge or planning information that you have so they may just be confused or misunderstood how the booking all works. I know of several guests who have booked flights but have not booked with the resort yet. We also told all guest they had to booked one month before the actual cutoff. If I know my friends like I do, they will put it off until the last minute so this way they can still book "late".
  10. Hi, I am getting married at the Moon Palace in October. Uncertain what to do right now with wedding favors. I do not want to have to bring it all with us. Is anyone doing them there? Or has anyone bought any through Moon Palace? I noticed on their optional services menu it lists favors.
  11. If they are like Aventura Spa Palace they are hooked to the wall. I know those hairdryers usually have a little less power than most. My hair needs 1600. 1400 leaves it wavy.
