Hey Erin R. I am getting married there 2 days before on November 6th!! Still trying to figure out whether i am going to get a photographer or have a friend of ours who has a $1,000 camera take ours..lol. who are u using? what are u doing for your reception?

I hear we can all save a lot of money on photography if find brides getting married on or close to each others dates. So all us getting married that weekend of november 5th, 6th, and 7th maybe able to get one photographer to do all our wedding for a really cheap price. what u guys think? anybody heard this or done it themselves?

Well we decided on Grand Riviera Princess for our wedding this November. From all the threads i've read it seems like a great choice. the only negative thing I heard is that it is not a couples only resort so you may encounter some rowdy kids..lol. but think of the time of year you go. if your going during spring break or summer it may be a problem if u consider kids to be a problem..lol. but as far as the prices i think they are very reasonable compared to the other two resort chains and it would be a great place for the large number of people you are having. as far as the wedding coordinator she has answered all my questions very promptly and tries to accomodate all our needs. i hope this helps some. but read the threads from past brides from these hotels and i think you will find your answer =) good luck!

We chose the grand Rivieria princess but i also hear the grand palladium is nice and aventura spa. also i don't think you could go wrong with any of the dreams or secret resorts. do some research on these and any other u may be interested in and then check out the forums on here about those resorts. it makes your decision so much easier after seeing the comments past brides on here have made =) enjoy your planning and let us know what u choose.

Yes V-day bride I am glad that everything ended up going well. Glad to hear about the hair too =) I need to find out if our hotel's salon can handle this hair of mine as well. Unlike this picture of me and my fiancee when we got engaged on a cruise ( i had kinky twists b/c i didn't want to deal with it) i wear my hair relaxed and it is pretty long and thick so i just hope they can work with that! I might just have to go over to Los cabos to get it done if they can't do it in the Riveria Maya..lol

Hey just joined myself two days ago. I am getting married @ the Grand Riveria Princess there in the Riveria Maya November 6th. It seems to be less expensive than Aventura but if I had the money that would be my 1st choice! 2nd was Grand Palladium. I don't think you could go wrong with any of the Dreams or Secret resorts either. Check these out and let us know what you choose. Have fun! Congrats!

I am not one of those people who are type A about everything, making lists etc. but I do want to make sure we have a nice wedding so I will be asking lots of questions on here since we are pretty much going in blind with no site visit..yikes. Just set our date today and looking into colors. Right now we are purple, cream with hints of orange based on my mothers favorite flower which was the bird of paradise. Wondering about decorations to display this with more than just flowers? Also not sure if we are gonna do the whole bridesmaid/groomsmen thing. but anyone have there guests participate by wearing certain colors? Also how about bridesmaids who u let buy own dresses just gave specific color? How that work out?
