Hi Claire! Â I am also getting married at The Royal in Cancun on May 6th, 2011 at 1pm in the gazebo and had the same concern. I also have a hard time getting my WC to respond to my emails or answer the questions I have. She answer some things and skips other pieces and it drives me crazy. I even thought about canceling my wedding and moving it to the palace resorts but then I saw couples were being billed for things they shouldn't have, etc. I am so stressed out! I thought having a destination wedding makes everything easier. Boy was I wrong! If you have any information you can share and maybe I have info I have that you need, we can help each other out. PM me at [email protected]. It is nice to meet a bride on the same day as me but I understand your feelings I don't want to see another bride on my day either. =)

Hi Girls!!!! OMG I am so happy to have found all of you I felt so alone until now!!! I am so happy for all of you!!! Congrats!!! I am planning my wedding for May 6th 2011. I have been trying to get my questions answered so I could put down my deposit for my date and I just want to say that the main office here in the US is so rude and unprofessional. So I know what you girls mean. We are just going to have to help each other it seems. Girl power lol! Last year I was in contact with Patty Hernandez by email and we were experiencing some communication problems. After reading all the requirements to get legally married in Mexico me and my fiance decided to get legally married here in the US first so I would only need a symbolic ceremony. She didn't understand this and when I asked if I could have a family member perform the ceremony and use our own vows, she replied with a Big NO and I was heart broken and was ready to choose a different resort but decided to call the US office before I gave up all hope and it turns out according to them I can have all the above no problem. So yay back on!! But now I am faced with a new problem they want a deposit before they will send a copy of the contract. I never heard of such a thing. I know its not a large deposit but my video and photo services have sent it no problem for my review so I'm a little worried. If anyone has a copy I would love if you could email me a copy at [email protected]. This would take all my worries away. I look forward to staying in touch with everyone. Kriste

Hey girls!! I'm looking at The Royal in Cancun, Mexico for May 6th, 2011. I'm so excited!!!! I'm almost ready to put the deposit down just making sure my video and photo services are available as well. It seems like I have planning this forever lol. For all those brides looking for a resort that allows children this is an all inclusive resort for adults only but has a sister all inclusive resort right next door that allows children which is also a lot cheaper in case some family can't afford the more expensive adult only resort. They also allow your family to come over the day of the wedding for no extra charge and you can use the sister resorts' amenities whenever you would like only catch is if you are staying at the sister resort you have to pay a small daily fee to use the royal in Cancun amenities. But I also heard they aren't to strict about this as long as your an adult. I hope this helps everyone. If any brides have visited this resort or have been married at this location I would love to hear your feedback and advice.

Hi everyone my name is Kriste and I am planning my wedding for May 6th 2011 at The Royal in Cancun, Mexico. I have chosen The Eternal Romance Package and I am really excited!!! I could use some help though as I have contacted the U.S. office and have run into a staff that doesn't want to really answer questions and won't email the contract for me to see before I give them my deposit. If any brides out there have gotten married at this location or another real resort location I would love any advice you can give me. My video and photo services however have been forthcoming with this information go figure?? Thanks from your newbie! Kriste
