I'm hoping it happens there! Take care and congrats again! Thanks for all the congrats! We were actually supposed to wait a year then start trying but I started feeling the itch. Never thought I would so soon (got pregnant exactly a month after the wedding) but I wouldn't change a thing (except being pregnant all summer long in 90 degree weather)!
  2. Hi Ladies!! I have been sooo MIA but I wanted to check in on all of the May brides. I know there are plenty of you. Maggie, I am so jealous! I want to go back to Mexico so badly and I know you're on your way. I know you'll have a blast. I'm upset that I've missed so many of your weddings. Congrats to Murmel, Lessismore and Tisha. I was able to skim the almost 200 pages I missed and see your pics. Good job ladies!! I hope I didn't miss anyone else. For those of you that are friends with me on Facebook, you know I am preggers. I am 5 months pregnant and found out this week we're having a girl!!! I said all of that because I have been looking into joining another forum and getting info from people in my same situation BUT I have to say that none compare to this one. I know I've said it before and I'll say it again, there's no place like BDW. The support and info I got here was priceless and I wish I could find that in a forum for expectant mothers but no such luck. Anyway, happy planning to you all and although I'm not on as much if anyone needs anything, my email is [email protected].
  3. The sunblocks were free items that I was adding to people's purchases if they wanted/needed some. That's why there was a limit of 5. I can check and see how many I have left, I'm not at home right now.

Everything else you want is still available. PM me if you're still interested!

I still wouldn't have changed my ceremony location, but if that's a big part of why you're booking the Sky Deck just wanted to give that heads up. Wow! That's a bit coincidental! What are they going to do now?!
  6. Congrats!!! We didn't have to put down a deposit for people. Once they called to book each person paid their own deposit. My TA held off a block of rooms until our rsvp date and even after that she still held a few rooms for late-comers. Everyone was given the option to make payments as long as they were paid in full 45 days prior to departure which some people still didn't do. The ones that didn't called her and made arrangements. I don't think my sister paid in full until 30 days prior. I'm sure this is different based on the TA and the time of year though. We just went in November and we only had 2 guests that were unable to attend BUT they tried to book 2 weeks before the wedding!

  9. The only resort that's really close by is Azul Beach. Maybe you can avoid paying the outside vendor fee also if you choose to stay with Karisma.
  10. I asked my husband if he remembers Grey Goose and he only recalls there being Absolut and Stoli. However, we noticed while we were there that sometimes you have to ask for a particular brand for them to give it to you. We went to one bar and they had Crown Royal on display but none of the others did. Everytime he wanted Crown we walked all the way to that one bar but one day we asked another bartender if they had Crown and it was there, just not on display.

I'll take some up close pics of them and PM you.
  12. Quote: Originally Posted by jazz04 How did you pack the lanterns to bring them on the flight, how much room did they take up? Murmel is right. They fold flat. You open them up to make them round. So, they didn't take up much space at all. I just kept them wrapped in plastic.

I'll mark you down for the items and PM you about the freebies. Thanks (about the wedding shoes)!! PMing you now

I will try to ship the cheapest way possible and pricing is negotiable. If you have any questions, PM me and if you’re interested in something also send me your zip (postal) code for more accurate pricing. I only accept PayPal. Happy Shopping! We couldn’t find them in the latex in that color. 19 white calla lilies - $10 for all 6 lime calla lilies - $3 for all 2 large lime calla lilies - $4 for all 12 dark purple lilies - $12 for all 14 white lilies - $20 for all a bag of ivy for adding greenery - $5 for all bronze branches for accent - $3 for all Anyone who wants to purchase all of the above stems, branches and ivy total price will be $45!!! 4 Natural touch bridesmaid’s bouquets – $35 per bouquet without buckle, $40 per bouquet with buckle 8in wide, white and green orchids and white callas, rhinestone buckle included. She was put in contact with the nanny when she went to the kids center. I'm going to PM you when she sends me the answers to your questions. There were speakers for the ceremony but I don't think there was a microphone. If there was, we didn't use it. I heard that I wouldn't be necessary, but honestly, for our ceremony it was so windy that you can't hear our vows on our videos. From what I hear, our guests could hear it in person but on the video they're drowned out. Also, they say that a CD player is included for the ceremony, but we had CDs and they told us it would be easier for them to use the iPod dock. You look like a model!! I'm glad you had a great time!
  20. I have 75 dark purple (plum) organza sashes and matching organza fabric roll if anyone is interested. I'm selling all of it for $50 plus shipping. PM me, willing to negotiate!
  21. Not sure but that's a good question. If you're really big on cake it may be worth it. I'll get the details from my sister and PM you. Is there anything specific you want to know? Good luck on your BD shoot!!! I had fun with mine. It had been the most I'd laughed in awhile at that point. A good stress reliever and escape from wedding planning. I did down a bottle of wine while there so that may have added to it! Lol. I think I forgot to answer this when my post disappeared. I found them on ebay for $1.50. It was actually the Daily Spanish for Dummies. Not really sure what the difference is but I'm sure any of them will serve the purpose. We got a seating at Spoon for 8:30 but we had to fight for it and it took about 3 weeks to get approved. If you insist on it, they'll give it to you. My WC was Carolina. have fun!!!! Just an option, you can do real touch orchids if you really want orchids. I wasn't budging on the fact that I wanted callas and orchids. The resort quoted me $300 for them and I refused to pay that. My bouquet wound up costing less than $100.
  22. I just wanted to share something that I didn't put in my review. PUT YOUR DRESS, SHOES AND ACCESSORIES IN YOUR CARRY-ON!!! My Matron of Honor's luggage was lost and she didn't get it back until an hour before the reception was over. Imagine if she had her dress in there. Her shoes were in the lost luggage and that's why we all decided to wear flip flops as a sign of solidarity. But there's no way around you or a bridesmaid not having a dress. They actually made my mom check my dress which was in a bag with hers, my sister's, my flower girl's and my ring bearer's tux. She actually started crying and I thought she was insane but I understand now what could have gone wrong.

I noticed some white lights wrapped around a tree. Were those there or did you pay for them? The lighting on thr trees are provided by the resort. We didn't pay for them. The only thing we had were LED tealights on the tables and paper laterns. We had 6 large and 12 small lanterns and I think that was enough lighting. It wasn't too dark but intimate IMO. We had the welcome cocktail party the day before the wedding. After that we had a rehearsal dinner (the rehearsal was supposed to be before the cocktail party but that didn't happen). There was also the wedding and reception of course. The bags came from Dollar Tree!! Yes, they were only $1 and my mom's friend embroidered them for us as our gift. I have to say I think that was the best find. They're seasonal, though, and they come out in March. They come in yellow, light blue, red, green and hot pink. None of these were my colors but I couldn't pass up the bargain so everyone just has assorted colors. If one of those are your colors though, I would recommend hitting all of the stores in your area if possible and you should be able to get enough. You may also be able to order them by the case but they would have to be assorted if you do it that way. I wanted to do a slide show but they quoted me $600 for the projector. I think I remember someone saying that just the screen is about half that price.
