  1. Thank you so much for posting this! I love all the pictures! These are really helpful to me. We're hoping to have our reception at one of the restaurants.
  2. I heard somewhere that the resort has Bud Light/Budweiser and Corona. Anyone know if this is true??? Our group is pretty excited about it.

Can you send it to me please? [email protected]
  4. That's a good suggestion! I guess we can all go to the lobby bar after the reception if we can't extend the reception due to $

Does anyone know the cost for an extra hour at the reception or maybe we could trade the cocktail hour for an extra reception hour.

I sent Ana a picture of the exact setup I wanted and she said she could do it. I also wanted flowers in the sand on the beach and then a pink and orange decor for the four post thingy they put in on the beach. We are having 39 people coming with us so it isn't too huge but not tiny either. I haven't decided anything for the tables for dinner yet though. I am still thinking of what to do for that. I want something really elegant. I think I will do hurricane vases with flowers and candles in them. Something simple but pretty. The price of our wedding just keeps going up... We are not doing anything once we get home so this will be it for us. What are you doing?? We're having around 40 people too! We're using whichever restaurant is closed for the night for dinner/reception. I really wasn't going to bring anything to decorate the restaurant. I know it sounds bad but we just keep spending more and more and the restaurants will be pretty with the decor they already have. I think I'm going to spend the money we would of used on extra time for the reception/extra guests.

IT'S THE BEST PLACE WE'VE EVER BEEN TO!! I started jumping up and down in the kitchen and got all misty eyed. I'm so glad to hear about all the positive responses to the resort. I'm so excited!

It's on clearance right now--we paid $159 for the coat and 49.99 for the pants. The guys are just going to get the pants. It's a great looking suit and it comes in a lighter tan and a darker tan.

We just didn't want to spend the extra $ for a plunge pool or anything because we will have 40 guests at the resort, many the same length of time as us so we won't have much alone time. We're planning to take another separate trip by ourselves next summer for our honeymoon.

  15. I saw another post here somewhere with cool favors. The couple bought maracas at the market when they got there for really cheap and them just attached little tags to them. Guests would have so much fun with maracas!
  16. We ended up booking them and I couldn't be happier! They got back to me right away with their prices and once we booked they sent the paypal request for the deposit and gave me a tentative picture schedule. It was great to see how they would use the time we booked them for. And they will also add an extra hour of photo or video if you need it. We did the 5 hour photo/video package but might add an extra hour of photo to make sure they get enough shots at the reception. Great experience so far, and I can't wait to meet them in October!

Is it a mariachi band? Did anyone pick the ultimate package? is it worth the extra expense? I'm doing the Love package mostly because of cost. We're using an outside photographer/videographer and the menu upgrade wasn't really a big deal for us so we went with the cheaper package. I've seen pictures of the mexican trio and it's a mariachi band. It looks pretty cool! I think a lot of brides are using them at the cocktail hour.

I'm not sure exactly how the coupons work, but it has been discussed on this thread before.... it's broken down so it's like $20 for wine, $40 for the spa, $40 towards a private dinner, etc. Usually the credit can only be applied if you've maid a certain minimum purchase, so it's not like you are getting something totally free, but discounted. That's awesome!! I was hoping to use coupons for the spa. I'm planning on getting manis/pedis and maybe massages for my bms the day of the wedding. It's a perfect gift and it keeps us occupied so I won't run into my fiance before the ceremony. Still waiting on getting prices from the spa.
  19. Great job finding those pics roxmysockz!! I can never remember what pages things were posted on.

I've seen pictures of both set ups on here, not sure which pages though.

Well, Ana said it would be fine to have the reception in whichever one of the restaurants is closed but we wouldn't know which one until a few days before the wedding. She didn't mention anything about the resort having to be at 60% capacity or less though. Yikes! It's written in our contract that the reception will be at one of the restaurants though so I hope it works out.
