  1. i think once you get there, there will be a whole book of flowers you can choose from. I am just going with the free rose bouquet (you can have free roses or lilies), and from what ive read, you can choose you color. i am prob ordering my bridesmaids bouquets from realtouch....just cant pay what MP is asking for a couple stems. im also ordering petals for the aisle/throwing....which i hope isn't a huge waste of money considering the wind.....
  2. Yea! thanks for posting. do you have a slideshow of the pics??
  3. Woodsylou! Go glad to see you back...I was wondering...! Vgirl..your day is almost here! so excited for you! I hope all the UK brides get all their flights squared away too!
  4. the presidential suite! nice! we don't have a group contract with our TA because we couldn't afford the down payment....but she said after everyone books, she can fight for the perks (and she said she always wins...yea!) wont get my hopes up for the presidential suite though..lol
  5. I can already feel who is going to back out 2 months before the wedding. I agree....grow a pair and tell me you aren't coming. sheesh.
  6. i read the same reviews on trip advisor. you should ask on the mp 2010 forum....there are a bunch of brides that were just there. my theory is that every singe person from a large group got on and each wrote a bad review about the food troubles....so it looks like a ton of people, but its really just one bitter group.
  7. thanks for the spa info =) i found out something a couple months ago during my MP research, and i wasn't going to mention it on here, but in light of the recent news story, i guess ill share. just dont tell your guests! Danger's Blog, Cancun Casa,Living on Isla Time i know it seems shady...but think of all the crime that happens here in the states right under our noses. there is crime everywhere =(
  8. navi, i would recommend that you read this entire forum as well as the 2008-2009 forum (it is so long it took me two weeks to read) for a wealth of info if you haven't already done so.
  9. Ashnic! thanks for the detailed list of stuff. the personalized crossword is sooo cute!
  10. great! LOVED your dress =). that was nice that they put the table runners you brought on the huppa.....might try to ask for the same
  11. I got my onsite wedding coordinator Claudia over a month ago. and i had the onsite assistant Maribel even before that. I still do most of my correspondence with maribel though.
  12. im trying to get a price quote right now on vases filled with limes since flowers are sooooooooooooooooooooooooo expensive. sheesh. we are bringing our own table runners and bows
  13. can anyone tell me how much they got just the lanterns for? is there anyway around the 150 delivery charge. i can't pay 450 for some paper lanterns, but i really want them!
  14. ashnic....how are you corresponding with all of your guests. i have a website, but i dont think people are going to check it regularly. i want to give them a deadline too so i can plan for numbers
  15. OMG those are the BEST mp photographer pictures I have seen! awesome!!
  16. Thank you so much Heather for doing a review eventhough you have only been on the site a couple of weeks!!! Could you elaborate more on the Arricefies food quality...? We are doing our welcome dinner there and I am nervous!!
  17. Has anyone received a price quote from zuniga for the paper lanters? They originally quoted me 500 with a 150 delivery fee. Then I got them to 300 with a 150 delivery fee, which is still out of my budget for lanterns! Just wondering how far down I can push them..... I budgeted 300 total for that

However, I am going to ask the 2009 bride thread if anyone has tried this before before I do so...... That is interesting. I would love to hear if someone else had done that. Sounds kinda risky, but if its legit...it would save soooo much hassle!
  19. Heather! Thanks for the review and all of the advice about the wedding certificate. =) Glad you had a great wedding

  21. Most of us are doing the free package and adding the things we want. This is because you cannot change anything if you get the package, and the packages had items that people didn't want or need so it was cheaper to just purchase a la carte. But I know someone picked diamond and there is another bride doing the blue one =)
  22. we like super long tricia =) my dad is going to mexico next week and is going to do a site visit for me. i told him to take loooooots of pics, which i will post when he gets back. wish i was going too
  23. that is so lame that they would make you but on the petals and bows yourself. that must be a new thing because older MP reviews mention "i dropped off my chair bows and decor to the WC....." always implying that they did it for you. ugh
