  1. I can't say enough good things about bluenile!!! My E-ring is from there and be honest, I can compliments ALL the time on how beatiful my diamond is. My wedding band is also from bluenile, they match each other, and i can NOT wait to wear them together! =) Pricescope is a great site too. It has alot of information and good deals on diamonds, but I still like bluenile more because I can play with the "build a ring" page. It's fun.
  2. I've ordered some beautiful metallic cardstock from paper and more.com they are soooo pretty but I have problems printing on them. I went to Staples and Kinko's, they both tried and said the cardstocks are too thick (although it says 105#, it feels alot thicker than 110# cardstock from Staples). I really love the cardstocks and want to use them to make my invitations, anyone knows where I can go to print them? I checked out some printing shops and they do commerical printing only.

My wedding is not until December 2010 so there isn't a huge rush. I'm just excited to get things going! Thanks and best wishes to everyone for a fabulous wedding! When in dec are you having your wedding? I booked mine with them for dec 11th although I am thinking to change resort, I did put down the deposit. They seem pretty fast in contacting u at the beginning, so just wait
  4. ooppss i read your email before this post, so check your email! =)
  5. I am considering this resort and ditching The Royal (real resorts). I did a site visit there and like it, just that the entrance is hidden, hard to find. The spa is amazing!!!
  6. Dear, I do not sugguest The Royal Cancun at all. I put down my deposit and did a site visit. The hotel itself is fine , it's the WC that I have problem with. They are very fast to get your money but after that, communication is super super slow to none!!! I emailed them many times with questions and guess what, I have not heard back from them for 5 weeks now!!! and the last time I had to wait 3 weeks to get an answer for one simple question. This is adding alot of stress on my planning and now I am switching resort. This place is hopeless, sorry to say this.
  7. I just got an email from Suzanna saying she is sorry that she is extremely behind on emails and will catch up this week, told me to wait for her response. well, I guess better than no email! I am wondering about the linens too. It would be nice to know exactly what they provide. Looks like I will need to bring alot of stuffs down there for the wedding. For those of you who did a site visit there, did you meet with your WC or just some random person? I scheduled my site visit in March and my WC told me to go there and meet with another person that I don't even know....
  8. If anybody knows how to contact them and get a quicker response than 3 weeks, I sure would love to know! I am actually thinking about having my wedding somewhere else because it's just tooo frustrating
  9. I have put in my deposit for The Royal Cancun also...let me just say that the communication from the WC is very very bad and slow. I have sooo many questions regard to the wedding that are not answered. I requested to schedule a site visit and they got back to me 4 weeks later...I can see this is going to be a lonng planning process. So, do you girls know if they work with you on setting the reception dinner tables? Like coordinating the colors and theme?
  10. besides looking at the wedding packages, maybe you should also consider how much they charge per guest. alot of places have very nice wedding packages but the cost of staying is just too high for guests. I think it's important to have a reasonable price so more guests can afford to come. The Royal is good because they have sister hotel right next door with cheaper rate so guests who wants the luxury stay can choose the Royal and others with small budget can go next door to the sister hotel
  11. sigh the communication between me the resort is very very slow, (i guess i am impatient at the same time) they said i can bring in outside vendor but need to purchase a day pass. I want to compare the prices, see which one is cheaper but it's hard to find any musicians around and still waiting for the resorts email
  12. THEY ARE SOOO PRETTY!! another great idea for me too! the hotel is charging me too much for flowers

They apparently had just finished it a few days before my trip. It is larger than it was before the hurricane, and now I'm worried that it's too big. (I'm gonna try to figure out how to post pics). The food tasting was awesome, the lamb chops were fantastic and so was the spinach souffle. I was thinking of doing my reception on the terrace at the Gran (the one that looks like a golf course because of the green "turf") but wasn't thrilled with the bathroom situation, or with how large the space was. We were told that for events up there they sometimes use the rooms that are facing the terrace for bathroom purposes, but they could not guarantee they would be open, even if we had our guests request to stay in those rooms to make sure they would be available. So, now I'm back to having a beach reception. They Royal has gorgeous bathrooms on the beach. So that was my selling point. So I'm back now to doing ceremony in the gazebo, reception on the beach. I will try to upload pics ASAP of the beach for everyone. Great! I can't wait to see the pictures! we've decided to have our wedding at the royal cancun too! =) the WC kept asking me which beach locations I want to have the ceremony and they really look the same to me from the online photos. so glad to hear from others on this forum!
  14. so i am thinking replacing DJ with musicians to cut cost for my small wedding, but it's so hard to find any! the hotel charges me $400 per 45 mins for any musicians i choose, that's crazy! any sugguests? =)
