  1. Hello Ladies Are any of you planning any welcome parties for your guests? If so, what is everyone doing? I am asking Ramon if we can do a private Bon Fire on the beach. Does anyone know if this is possible? I want to do something different then just a dinner inside one of the restaurants.
  2. I am getting married at Excellence Riviera Cancun in Mexico next May 2011 and we were able to lock in our rates as soon as Dec 09. I am using Wedding Destinations and Planning | Destination Weddings .com and after all the research and comparison my TA Pam def got me the best rate that i can find(even for all the other resorts/destinations we looked into). This is supposed to be the beginning of the prime wedding season in Mexico and even some of our guests were shocked at how cheap the rates were. For 5 days/4 nights it's less then $800pp (all inclusive - minus airfare, since you can't book yet).

The Secrets Hotels look really nice as well but I prefer the lay out of the Excellence Resorts and the reviews on various sites did it for me. The price of weddings at Excellence is decent as well and if yoy go for the Silver or Gold package and qualify for the Free Wedding Package, you subtract the US$850 of the cost of the Gold and Silver packages. If you go for the Gold and Silver at the Dreams or Secrets Resorts then you have to pay the full price even if you qualify for the free wedding. Soemthing to think about. Thanks for sharing this info. It's good to know that they subtract the $850 if you qualify for the free weddding; which i think we should. I'll have to email Ramon about this
  4. Hi Mich, Your pictures are beautiful. Thanks for sharing. I will def use Juan for some part of my wedding weekend
  5. Hi Mich, Can you email me or PM me your pics from Juan? I still do not have enough points to open the attachments. I did book "Moments that Matter" for my wedding; however Juan is included in my wedding package and i am interested in possibly using him for another night. Thx!
  6. Congratulations to all you brides that are getting married at ERC soon. I just booked my wedding at ERC for May 7th 2011 and I cannot wait. Thanks to all you ladies for providing such great information about this place. This forum is a life saver. Is anyone else getting married on a Saturday? Does anyone what restuarant is closed that night?
  7. Thanks to everyone for the great feedback and Congratulations to all those brides who are getting married here. For those Brides getting married here; If you don't mind me asking how many people are you planning on having at your weddings and how many days are your guests staying?? Are you getting married by the beach, at the gazebo, or the pier? I am planning on having almost 70 people and I'm not sure if there are any limitations to getting married at the beach gazebo? Does anyone know? Tree Bean...Are you already booked for April 2011? I was told i couldn't book until Jan?? I'm going to try to finalize a date next week; i hope there are still early dates in may 2011 available
  8. Hello Ladies I am about to book the Excellence Riviera Cancun in May 2011 for my wedding. It looks like a great place to get married and all the tripadvisor reviews are positive but I haven't been able to find too many brides on BDW who have or are planning on marrying here recently. Before finalizing the place i would love to hear if anyone has anything to share about this resort!! THX!!
