Hey Jen, welcome to the forum! You'll find a ton of information here to help in your planning. Have fun!

I think a simple flower arrangement looks very classy. A veil is nice too but not necessary if you already have a flower IMHO.

There's another thread on postcard guestbook which seems like a great DW idea:

I wish they still made Polaroid films! I like the idea of people taking pics of themselves to go along with their marital advice... :-))

I don't think you need more than a minute even but that depends on how long you have to walk down the aisle I guess...
I discovered the "Vitamin String Quartet" and LOVE their music. They interpret a ton of classic heavy & alternate rock and pop songs from artists like Queen, Michael Jackson, AC/DC, Guns & Roses, The Beatles, Madonna, Kiss, etc.
I chose "The Power of Love" by Celine Dion. Played in string quartet, I find it's a very classy and touching piece.
I'd like to play other songs from them during cocktail hour like "I was made for loving you" by KISS. It's pretty funny to hear such a classic rock song played by violins. They are VERY good!

Wow! I love the one off shoulder; that's a beautiful gown, perfect for a DW! I wish I could fit in a size 0!!!

Hi everyone!
We're looking into a cruise wedding in the Carribbean, Feb. 2011. For that time of year, my TA suggested either Princess or Celebrity and favors a departure from San Juan, PR, weather-wise or from Miami, FL budget-wise. Does anyone have any insight on these cruiseliners and/or wedding experience?
How's the onsite WP? Photographer? Food? Excursions? ...
(Most of our guests are from Montreal, Canada but could fly out from Burlington, VT to save on flight fare. We're expecting around 50-60 friends & family.)

Welcome to the forum!
As mentionned, I think you're better off picking the resort that YOU want/like and then you could probably have your TA negociate group discounts depending on how many guests register.
Happy planning!

Your pics are absolutely gorgeous and I love the colors you picked!
I am undecided between Riviera Maya or a Carribbean Cruise wedding... My travel agent said that the weather in February is not that warm for cruises that leave from Florida vs. San Juan for eg.
What was your experience? How many days at sea were you?

To Julie,
The Aventura resorts seem very nice! Do you know if they allow hiring of offsite photographers?
-
SusieQ that's a funny story!
I hope my FI won't see my dress in order to give him SOME element of surprise and add to the emotions of the day. But I guess it's no biggy if he accidentally does...
Although, since I'm really not good at shopping for clothes and always need him or a GF to advise me on what to try on, I've showed him a few pics of dresses I like to get his opinion. But once I get my dress (I haven't gone shopping yet!), I'm not taking any chances; it's not staying at home. My MOH will be holding on to it.
