Hi, I am getting married at Moon Palace Punta Cana (A.K.A Hard Rock) on March 27, I did a site inspection last year, the hotel was still under construction, since we are doing a catholic ceremony, it will be taking place in the Gazebo. I will post pics when I get back. If you look in your contract there are no outside vendors allowed at MP you have to go with the ones they tell you. The Dj they use is called J&S Audio Visual. I am not sure how they are, but they are great with getting back to you and answering any questions that you have. I will keep you posted

Hi, I also started planning my wedding before the change was announced, actually 2 weeks before final payment was due for the rooms I got an email. I was scared at first, but my wedding is in 2 weeks March 27, I will keep everyone posted on how it goes.

HI Minerva, I actually did finally receive the wedding package information. When were you in Mexico did they tell you that the Hotel is changing names to Hard Rock Casino and Spa Punta Cana? Well I just received an email from Moon Palace Punta Cana stating that the Palace Resorts is going to be “teaming” up with Hard Rock International, the email states that Palace Resorts is still going to be running the hotel, however the name of the Hotel is changing to HARD ROCK HOTEL AND CASINO. They said that some of the the changes to the décor’ are going to be adding the Hard Rock logo, adding memorabilia (music type of memorabilia) and changing some of the suits to Rock Star Suits. The changes are going to be complete Spring 2010, when I called the home office in Miami and the onsite wedding coordinator in Punta Cana they said that they could not give me a definite date as to when everything is going to be done, but it will be sometime in March or April of 2010. My Wedding is booked for the end of March I have 40 rooms booked already, I don’t know how they can do this. I feel like the hotel is going to have a completely different ambiance and attract young spring breakers. I have nothing against that, but it is not want for my wedding, If I wanted a party crowd and memorabilia I would have booked my wedding in Vegas. I actually flew down to DR to view the hotel and fell in love with what it looked like, that is why I booked there. Did anyone else receive any different information? Any Information would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!

Thank you so much for responding back!!!! Makes me feel so much better!!!! I still havent received a response from the wedding cordinator, tomorrow will be a week, I am going to follow up with a phone call, and rerquest they send me all the info... Thanks again!!!

My wedding is booked at Moon Palace Punta Cana March 27 2010!!!! I am going with the catholic ceremony in the gazebo. I am starting to get worried I emailed Kathleen my WC 3 business days ago and have not received a response. Does anyone have information on the type of music options they offer for the inside reception, or anything on their florist, Photographer, Video, what type of meals they have for an inside sit down dinner?

No, there should not be a problem, when you set up your transfers let them know that you have a car seat and they will not over book the transfer

I visited Punta Cana in April of 09 Please make sure you take the baby’s car sear for the transfers! They drive crazy down there very similar to Mexico, when I was in Mexico 2 years ago I witnessed a terrible accident both vehicles that crashed were coming from the airport, when I get in the transfer buses/vans I wish I could have a car seat!

Hi, I'm getting married at Moon Palace, Punta Cana. It's a new resort that had its soft opening January 09, the Grand Opening is taking place December 09. My wedding is at the end of March 2010. I visited the resort April 09 everything looked amazing but construction was not done yet. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that everything is done by March. Does anyone have any inside scoop? I actually emailed my wedding coordinator last night listing my concerns. Moon Palace does not allow outside vendors, however they do not have any "extras" listed on their web-site for the Punta Cana Resort. I haven’t received a reply yet.
