    Anyone who is getting married/has been married at this hotel, what was your cake like? Or does anyone have any pics sent from the WC of the sort of cakes they offer? These are my inspiration cakes (but they would all be in my theme colour of purple)... Do you think they would be able to do something similar to any of these for me?

    Yeah I was told the best time to go is December-April as this misses out their hurricane and rainy season. I was just worried that as we are going early Dec that it might not be the best weather yet but if we wait until Jan-April I'll have to wait till 2012 as there is no way we can afford to go that early on in 2011 Thanks all x

    DarcyJAde, can I just ask, did you have to pay extra to have the ceremony at the gazebo? I have read somewhere on here that it actually belongs to the hotel next door and you have to pay $1000 extra to have it as your wedding location :S I am hoping you say this isn't true as I have my heart set on it!     Hi all, I was just wondering, if you have someone Spanish and your WC translating it all, do they still say all the traditional vows (in sickness and in health.. etc)? Or would you have to request this? Thanks

    Hi all We are looking at getting married in the DR early December 2011. We were told by the travel agent that the best time of year to visit is between December and April, to avoid the rainy season, although it is hot there all year round. I just wondered if any brides who got married in the DR went in December? If so, what was the weather like, did you experience any rain? And was it mainly cloudy or sunny? Thanks

    Hi! I am in the same position, I have my heart set on this hotel but then I look at others and can't make my mind up! I have read good and bad and just cannot decide. Any reviews from anyone who has got married here would be useful! Thanks

    Hi all Well we still haven't managed to choose a hotel to get married at, but I've been told that the south of the island has the pure white sand whereas the north and east has more golden sand. Does anyone know any hotels on the south of the island? Thanks Hollie
