  1. I almost ordered from her this weekend! Thank you for the post!!
  2. I love these bags. It’s quite a treat that not only will they get an OOT but you thought of them on previous travels and picked them up something you can’t find at a local store. I think your cooler idea for the boys is great as well; I may have to copy that for our single boys.
  3. I love this idea! Thank you very much for sharing your templates! Your guest are lucky you are their bride!
  4. Thank you to all that have replied. I am really becoming addicted to this sight. There is just so much great information.
  5. My fiancé talks to his family on Skype every weekend so we are fairly familiar with the use of this type of equipment. You are correct all you need is a Laptop, Webcam, Air Card (and someone to work the equipment). I have just a few suggestions if you decide to go that direction. Make sure you check out the battery life on your laptop before you leave to assure it can handle the amount of time you wish to use it (peripheral devise like Web Cams can drain the battery). You can buy and extended battery if needed. I would also research a decent Webcam; you don’t want to be little spots on a screen to them. Make sure you get an air card that works in Mexico and lastly sit the person working the equipment by the speakers or you can by and extended microphone and have the person performing the ceremony wear it.
  6. Part One: Is it proper etiquette and or required for the bride and groom to host an event other then the wedding when doing a destination wedding? An example I read about was a day trip to one of the Mexican Ruins or renting a cameraman for a few hours. Part Two: If yes, who is required to pay? I have heard you are not required to pay for anyone just inform your guest of your plans and let them attend if they are interested. I have also heard you must pay for your entire guest list that wishes to attend. Lastly, I have read about an option were you pay for your wedding party and family then offer all other guest the option to attend and to RSVP by sending a check for their entrance with their reply card in the invitation (is this tacky?). Part Three: Suggestions Please! We are having our wedding on a Saturday evening in Cancun. Does anyone have any suggestions of an event for us to host? We are staying at an all inclusive resort so I do not want to do a meal for most of our guests have already paid to eat there. I am hoping to find some kind of activity.

  8. Oh you poor thing! My fiancé if very close to his family but they are half way across the world. We had a tough choice to make. It came down to my family and all of our friends being able to attend or having it where his family could attend. After many weeks of discussion to figure out what was best for us we decided to get married in Mexico and web cast the wedding. His family will be attending on a laptop in the front row right where they belong. We will also have the entire reception video taped and will have a family dinner watching the video the next time we are with them. I hope this helps, good luck with your tough decision.
  9. Hi Everyone! My name is Tina and I am getting married in Cancun, Mexico on June 5 2010. I feel blessed that I found this sight. Not only do I look forward to everyone’s suggestions and learning from others experiences but as most of you will probably agree weddings are expensive and I hope to use the research you Brides and Grooms have done in order to make my wedding a bit more cost efficient. I hope to learn some tricks for my resort, wedding invitations, travel bags for our guest, and what if anything other Cancun couples did to entertain their guest. If you have seen a great post that could help me find some answers, please send them my way. Congratulations to all of the couples out there on your up incoming nuptials!
