They had matching jackets as well but I just liked the relaxed look with the Vest, Pants, and the rolled up shirts.
  3. Hey Guys! Here are just some of the photos that were put up online! We have hundreds of them……. Some really amazing ones!!! Claudia's work is out of this world! She catches moments and details that will last us for a lifetime! She made our wedding so special and was able to still capture so many amazing moments even through the chaos of having to move our wedding! ENJOY! Link below: http://claudiaphoto.com/slideshows/claudia/november10/deanna_jimmy_111310/ Our package included the rights to the photos, so I have a CD from the Photographer with all the photos. Not all of our photos are in our printed album nor are they on the online slide show. Her work is awesome and she is the NICE PERSON I have ever meet. I loved workign with her!!!

  6. Hey I got like 100 STar fish from the Shore during the Summer and then I order 160 from this website www.qualityshells.com
  7. Hi, We used the resort Photographer for just the ceremony, since it was included and we already paid for it. Claudia did the whole day and was the main photographer! We even did a TTD with Claudia three days later. As for the Vases, we used DECO CANCUN, Anita! We had flowers in water as well, just as you described! SHe is the best and she does a lot of events for the hotel so you don't have to pay her, the hotel does. They charge you and then pay her, You don't have to pay and additional fees or guest passes, use them. Their pricing is GREAT! You couldn't buy them for the price they charge. She has a lot of great ideas and decorations. I contacted her three weeks before my wedding so you should be fine! Best of Luck with your Wedding!!! Have fun, enjoy it, it goes by really really quick! And relax! Really try to Relax and Have fun, don't stress!
  8. Here is the other one.....attached. What we had was a pocket fold envelope with sticker of our monogram on the outside. Our guests opened it up and it had a welcome message in the center then we had the little cards in the pockets. The whole thing was a DIY and it looked awesome!!! I will look for the welcome note, so if anyone wants to use it they can and they can just change it around Here is the link to a sample on the website: we didn't have the extras like the website does .... http://www.paper-source.com/cgi-bin/paper/personalize/W98/step1.html Welcome Party2.docx
  9. Here was one of the cards that was in the welcome envelope for all the guests. looking for the other ones! Once again got the idea from someone on here.....not sure who it was, but it was very very helpful Welcome Party! BIENVENIDOS PleaseJOIN US FOR A COUPLE cervezas and bebidas THURSDAY, NOVEMBER ELEVENTH AT 7:00 PM Rendezvous Bar LOCATED IN THE lobby We look forward to seeing you!
  10. Another thing, the two sayings we used for the bamboo fans. What we did was bought white scalloped cards, citrus colored oval labels (which we printed the sayings below on...in brown) as well as an Indian lotus stamp with a purple ink pad....we bought all these items from Paper Source. We put the labels on the card and then stamped them with the Indian lotus in a purple color and tied them to all the fans which we had on the chairs! It turned out awesome! It looked Like we Paid $5 for each one, that’s how great they turned out! And it was so reasonable.... took some time to make them all but my girlfriends and I did them all on a Friday night over a couple bottles of wine, it was perfect! 11. I left the basket that I put the parasols there so you guys can use it if you want! I only paid $18 bucks for it at the wicker store! I also left 17 of the beautiful handmade Table Runners there as well as the two trays that were used for the Starfish (that was for our place cards) and I also left a bunch of the bamboo fans if anybody wants them. For those of you who were worried about the STARFISH, I had no issues with the Starfish at all!!! And I brought 225 of them with me! 65 that were like 4-5 inches and 160 that were 3-4 inches! And I also shipped stuff with no problems, I marked it all as "GIFTS". The one thing I did do was send all the welcome bags to everyone house about three weeks before we were leave. Some I mailed and some we just put on peoples doors. It was a hug hit! I got the bags from HomeGoods, they were the decorative ones that is always at the checkout area, They were soooooo Nice. I got two for $1.50, couldn’t beat it! In it I had 2- 4 towels (depending on how many people were going from each family) and a Hangover Helper & Survival Package. We got Brown and Purple Party Bags from Party City and put labels on the outside of the Bag. Here are the labels that we used (got the idea from someone one on here) and the here is the bag we bought for the Hangover Help / Survival package (just the purple one) I bought them at the store. http://www.partycity.com/product/purple+mini+kraft+bag.do?sortby=ourPicks&size=all&from=Search Hangover%20Kit%20Labels[1].doc
  12. I only bought 40 Parasols. None of the guys would use them and my family said they didn't need one. It was more for fun and decor. I did have 130 of the fans though!
  13. Desires had all kinds of cushions around the wall and its a deck area that over looks he explorer kids club. Very Nice! But make sure you spend the money to have lighting out there, there is no lighting at all. I wouldn't worry about much decor, maybe a little in the center, because it is a big circle. Its just a really neat area. Just really needs some lighting out there. I think that would be a great spot for a cocktail! I will post some more photos, it makes it a lot easier to plan and visualize
  14. Here are two photos of the lounge from EW Cancun. they are still setting up so thats why there is no cover on the chairs outside yet.
  15. I loved the Aisle Runner too! It just added a little personal touch B/c all they put down is like a white padded cloth. So they put the padded cloth down and then our runner over top, so it was so neat. I ordered it from www.idoorginals.com , she made my monograms too. One was used on the Aisle Runner and the others were used on my custom made matches, my welcome bag notes as well as the welcome cards. I ordered the Aisle runner in 25ft. I also ordered the Parasols and the Bamboo Fans from Oriental Trading. I shipped all the fans and parasols through the post office and they arrived with no problem! I made all the little cards that were on the bamboo fans, they supplies came from Paper Source which is now my favorite store!
  16. Hey We had a PARTY! such a good time! I actually setup the Catamaran Ride prior; paid for it and all before we went, they use PayPal. We went through Marina Cancun, I spoke and dealt with José María Pastor email is [email protected]. He was AWESOME! And So friendly/ easy to deal with. Only thing we did when we got there was had the bell man at the Hotel who was in charge of getting all the taxis get us to large vans to drive us to the Place where we were taking the boat out. We had 20 people on the boat so we needed two vans. If there is one thing I would highly recommend, that’s if you are thinking about getting the lounge furniture. Definitely go through EW Cancun! Their furniture was in pristine condition and it was crisp white! I saw some of the other furniture that was used through the other Vendors and it was dingy compared to EW Cancun’s. They also provide the pillows in various colors to match your theme . This honestly was the most exciting thing for me. In our photos slide show, they are still setting up so some of the chairs don't have the covers on them.

  20. Ok so we got married at the Dreams Riviera Cancun on Saturday November 13, 2010. We had a 135 of our closest friends and family attend our destination wedding. The Hotel said it is the biggest wedding they have ever had and probably will ever have. We booked the Master suite for a whole week and stayed in room 1200. The master suite is insane and if you have the money make sure you pay to have this nice room for you and your future husband! We arrived on Wednesday with a few family members and a few guests. Now I have been to the resort for a site visit so I knew what to expect when we first arrived but the few people who hadn’t been there (including my husband) were amazed at how beautiful the resort was. They just said it was breath taking and I had to agree, that’s exactly why we choose the Hotel. We were greeted with bottles of water and glasses of champagne. A great way to start off this vacation, especially with our group, they were bog drinkers. So we chilled the first day and met with Magdalena (Maria) and Walter the banquet manager on Thursday. We went over all the details we had already went over and cleared up a few things. In all honesty, I wish I just waited till I got down there to plan everything. I feel as if I spent so much time and energy getting all worked up and stressed out throughout the year when I could have just planned the whole thing a few days before. Just a little word of advice! Any which we went over everything and they had provided all that we had hoped and wished for. We had few minor mishaps but nothing our fun group couldn’t deal with. We met again with them on Friday morning to go over a few more details and to pay for the whole event. In planning a wedding and being the main coordinator, the one thing I would change is I would have arrived on Thursday and had my wedding on Friday so I could actually enjoy myself the entire time and just relax. I would have had the wedding once we arrived. See we got there on Wednesday and didn’t have the wedding until Saturday. Although we planned some wonderful events it would have just been much better to enjoy myself instead of having those days leading up to the wedding worrying and taking care of little things! So here goes our wedding weekend/day: We asked the wedding coordinator if the Hotel could hand out the Welcome Envelopes that we had made up for our guest once they were checking in, but unfortunately they said they couldn’t because it would be too hectic. So we made sure to meet people in the lobby once they were arriving and handed them out then. If we missed anyone, we just made sure to catch them by the pool, where everyone was. These included a welcome note, details about the wedding day (time, place etc) as well as an invite to meet us for some drinks. We had a welcome cocktail party at the lobby bar (we just told everyone to meet us there) we didn’t pay to have this little event and it was great! It worked out great because everyone came and had drinks for an hour or two and then went off to eat. Some the restaurants had an hour wait so it just ended up being perfect for people. Not only were they at our welcome party, they were having drinks while they were waiting for their tables to be ready for dinner. As our rehearsal dinner, since we don’t/ didn’t really have one, we rented a private catamaran ride and took our immediate families out on a private sunset cruise! Let me tell you, this was absolutely amazing and beautiful. What I loved about this was we rented it for just our families so we didn’t have to share the ride with anyone else and it was just awesome! Here is how our wedding day unfolded: Saturday November 13, 2010 I got a Manicure and Pedicure in the Morning I hired Fernando Fuentes and his team to do hair and make-up. He arrived at 10 am and we all got our hair and makeup done in the Master Suite – He was amazing !!!! I absolutely loved my hair and makeup. He did a great job! I can’t even tell you how happy we all were! My cousin took the Hair and Make-up appointment at the Salon, instead of me since they wouldn’t let me substitute it. She was my travel agent so it was the least I could do for her. Ceremony took place at the Gazebo at 3:00 and this was the perfect time! We had Symbolic Ceremony- NON Legal. We had a aisle runner that I had made, it was hand painted and beautiful. We got it from idoorginals.com. We also had bamboo fans on all the chairs and a wicker basket full of white parasols (all of which were a major hit). We just had the plain white garden chairs , no bows and it was beautiful/ perfect. People were telling us it looked like a movie and our guests said they felt like they were in a movie. We had a nice flower arrangement in the center table and it was perfect. In my opinion don’t pay the $300 dollars to have the flower arrangement on the gazebo if you do get married there, it’s a waste of money. You are only at the gazebo for 20 mins ( I was glad we didn’t spend the money). We also paid to have a champagne toast afterwards with all our guest but we didn’t even get a chance to do so. Another waste of money don’t bother. We told all our guest to come in their cover-ups or little dressed because there was a break in between so they could all get dressed for the evening after the ceremony. We hired Claudia Rodriguez as our photographer and she is insane!!! Absolutely amazing! We were able to get beautiful shots while all our guests were getting ready for the night! Our cocktail hour was on the beach at 5:00 and we rented Lounge furniture from EW CANCUN. This was bar far the coolest thing ever. Our guests were seated on the lounge furniture on the beach enjoying the sunset with the mariachi band playing in the background. They were able to enjoy some drinks, conversation and apps. It was amazing…… The furniture was my favorite thing!!!! We were scheduled to have the reception on the Deck from 6-9 and it was setup absolutely beautiful. I mean picture perfect, like something straight out of the movies. We had all white table linens, with white chair covers and I had these beautiful green and white overlays made out of fabric I got from Joanne’s Fabric store. I will have to show you a picture of how beautiful they were. We had DECO CANCUN do our centerpieces which were three vases filled with water lilies with candles, lights and mini starfish scattered around. We also had the hand painted maracas from Mishka (which turned out awesome) Out table looked amazing! I can’t tell you how happy I was with everything! We also had white lantern lights from DECO Cancun as well and they were just awesome! Then came the down fall…… Unfortunately right around 5:45 there was a hug storm cloud that came in and it started to spit a little. The Banquet Manager, came and found Jimmy and I and he had a complete look of panic on his face. He said that we need to make a decision as to what we wanted to do as far as move the wedding or not but we needed to decide right then and there. At this point I was just in complete shock and He had highly recommended that we move because he believed it was going to RAIN, POUR and if we didn’t move at that time he wasn’t going to be able to accommodate us. So we had to put our feelings aside and do what was best for everyone and move. They moved us to the World Café which is still really really nice but it was a little chaotic getting everything setup and getting everyone there. But in the end it totally came together and we had an AMZING time!!! However in the end it never ended up RAINING just spitted for about 20 mins and was a little windy! SO needless to say I was so bummed!!! But oh well what was I going….. We also made them move the lounge furniture outside the world café so our guests could still enjoy it and it was the biggest hit with everyone. We had DJ services provided by DOREMIXX - and it was an absolute party. So many people danced and we had a blast!!! We had custom box matches made on ETSY and we bought cigars at the Hotel. This was a huge Hit! We brought this awesome double sided box that had the matches and cigars in it and it was just so cool. In all and the we had an amazing time! People still keep calling us and telling us how much fun they had and that they will never forget out wedding! I will be shipping some of my stuff to the Resort since we will be having a lot of guests and I cannot bring it all with me on the plane. I assume I ship it to your attention, correct? Correct I will like to put welcome bags in everyone’s room. So I assume I provide you with the list of names. Do you want this when we arrive or a few days prior to our arrival? A few days prior and it will have a cost of $3.00 USD per room. How many people can be seated at a table? And how many tables can you accommodate on the DECK? 8 per table, we are having a wedding tomorrow for 120 guests. We will be arriving on Wednesday November 10, 2010 and would like to have a meeting that Day to finalize a number of things and provide you with the Welcome bags. I would rather finalize everything at least 3 weeks before the wedding, since there are many decisions to be made and 2 days before the wedding is too short. I am sure I forgot a lot so as I remember I will send additional information and I will point my photos up as soon as I get them as well
  21. Hey, No i didn't order one for every guest, I have about 17 tables w/ 8people to a table so I ordered about 68 of them. So there will be four on each table. I really love them and I'm so excited to get them but I didn't want to spend that much money for everyone to have one. I figured the guys won't be in to them as much as the gilrs, so we'll be fine! I am having out of town bags in everyones room, with towels and a hang-over helper Kit so that was another reason for not gettin one for everyone..... Ah thank you so much!!! I have put a lot of effort into it so I hope it Goes as planned or close to it!! :-) Â
  22. I am shipping my stuff there. I have 140 people booked and attending our wedding on November 13th. I can not take it on the plane, Way to much. I am shipping fedex, next week. You can get your items out of customs if they get held up. I work for a government contracting company and my cousin is head of shipping and receiving and he said we should be ok. And if it's held up we can get it out........there are ways to get it out. So I am not worried. Plus I ordered maracas from Mishka and she is shipping all of them to the hotel as well. Just a thought for those of you considering shipping. Your stuff could easily get held up at the airport once you go through security and customs as well. We witnessed this when I did my site visit.
  23. http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/astronomy.html?n=923&month=10&year=2010&obj=sun&afl=-11&day=1 Â It all depends on what your are looking for......according to the link, check it out, it says the sun will set at 6:29. So you will be getting married and exchanging vows when the sun is setting. That will be beautiful!!! Very pretty! The Ceremony only lasts about 20-30 mins. Â You can always do photos before! My Photographer recommended we get married at 3. Just so we can get pictures and then enjoy the whole evening with our guests! The sun sets for us around 5:05. Â Good luck!! :-)
