Congrats!!! I just got back from my bachelorette weekend in Vegas. Great choice!

Congrats and welcome. It's a wonder feeling being engaged. Happy planning!

Congrats! And, welcome to the forum. It's a great place to hang out and relieve stress.

Welcome. This is an amazing place to get help, ideas and of course to vent. Good luck with the planning.

Thanks for these ideas. Another 'to do' on our list.

We just confirmed our date with the hotel and the STD went out to over 200 people. Don't ask! We are planning on 100 being there and I pray that the number stays at or below, but from reactions to the STD and our newsletter it seems that we'll be entertaining a good sized crowd in Mexico. Hang in there.

You can keep changing your mind till you walk down the aisle cos you're only going to do this once. Just remember to breathe.

I thought it was just me but all this wedding business (and I'm moving overseas) is making me all kinds of bad (good) stuff. I'm not a sweet tooth so why do I have to have a daily slice of four-berry pie with a dollop of ice cream! I hit the gym regularly but my workouts now have to keep up with the diet. Agh!

Grrrrr!!!! I'm still several posts away from opening this!

Here's another site I found ladies. Starfish

Wow! They look so real. Love them.

Gosh these are all so amazing. I've been saving photos for months now. I'm inspired to get my board together pronto. Stay tuned ladies.

They were a huge hit with our guests, I'm sure yours will love them too

I love #1, for the reasons you listed, but vote for #2 because after some great food and a few drinks people will want to lounge vs. sit up straight.

Our STD led guests to our website and TA. They can contact the TA for prices. In our STD letter (we did only email STDs) we noted that we secured a group rate and room block. Everyone knows that a trip for a destination wedding will involve a bit of $$$. I went to a wedding in Houston from Chicago and spent $1000 so for 2 days, so either way they should know that some money is involved.

I have four BMs my sister, 2 nieces and my best friend. I am paying for the dresses because where I come from the bride/bride's family pays for the wedding including dresses. It's only in moving to America that I find BMs pay for their dresses. Having been a BM numerous times I swore that I'd pay for my BMs dresses cos every BM dress I've ever had has gone straight into the Salvation Army donation bag. No matter what a bride says you can never wear that stuff again.

Don't let this get you upset. $630 is high, try to find someone else. And you really don't have to explain to some greedy seamstress that you do have people friends and family coming to your wedding. It's none of her business. If you ever happen to see her again, just turn bridezilla for a hot minute and tell her where to go and get stuffed! Smile. She's insignificant.
