Thanks so much! Just hearing something positive about Medifast makes me super excited to try it! Although the lack of variety may not appeal to most, I think it's exactly what I need. When I get too many options, I lose it, lol. I just like the simplicity and convenience of the diet. I'll keep you guys updated.

Has anyone ever tried this? I was trying to choose between Nutrisystem, WW, and Jenny Craig, but Medifast does appeal to me. I'm one of those people that are good at counselling others, but don't want to follow it myself, lol. Being realistic, I know that my life is much too busy; if I want to lose this 55 lbs, I need something that I don't have to think about. I need my food to be simple, easy, and DELIVERABLE, lol. So... after researching them all, I decided to try Medifast (which I had never heard of until my research), and placed my order today. Please, if anyone else has tried it, let me know about your experiences!

Just wondering because I tried to organize a "Family & Friends Jamaica Trip" a couple of years ago. I gave over a years notice, contacted the resort and arranged for an awesome group rate. Contacted the airline and arranged for a group rate...set up a payment plan with people for something like $75 a month...set up a google cart on our online website so people could even make deposits with credit/debit cards...sent out monthly customized "magazine" type mailers. Soooo many people were on the bandwagon to go and wouldn't you know they all bailed?! So, now with my wedding planned for April 2011, I want to send out STD's in January which will give everyone 15 months notice to save like $60 a month. FI and I are paying for everyone's first night at Tensing Pen as well as something on the Catamaran, so I want to know if sending STD's in January is too early?

Hi! Glad I found this thread... it gets lonely not having other 2011 brides to "talk" with. We chose April of 2011 in order to give everyone enough time to save. I think I calculated that if everyone could set aside $60.00 a month, their trip could be payed for! We'll be getting married at Tensing Pen in Negril, Jamaica. We've already talked to the WC and she suggested that we really try to get our deposit in by March as they're already pretty much booked for the whole year of 2010, which is another reason for our date being in 2011. Oh yeah- and I'm joining the "ring-less engaged" group as well, lol

Thanks everyone! I talked to the WC at Tensing yesterday morning and she said we should make the deposit by March or April. I'm super excited. Already thinking about the dress I'm gonna design for the wedding and the reception dress I want...

Okay, so we've finally decided. When I was planning our trip to Jamaica this past September, I was torn between Rockhouse and Tensing Pen. We stayed at Rockhouse and loved it!! But because of my curiosity, we took a tour of Tensing Pen while in Jamaica, and my fiance loved it even more. So, we've decided to get married at Tensing Pen, in April of 2011!

I don't know if that's safe... seems like the fire would heat the pail up too much. You couldn't maybe find a taller candleholder or hurricane lamp to put in the center of the pail? I think you could find this at Walmart for about 60 cents.

It would look prettier if you used a taller candleholder- like a small hurricane lamp in the center with flowers surrounding the base of the hurricane lamp and peaking out of the top of the pail.

You are not kidding about the ROR threads! I don't plan on getting married there, but it seems that almost every thread is a ROR thread, so it would be nice to have a special thread for them since it's so popular. I would love to see more on Rockhouse (although I know it's not many Rockhouse brides

I am so in love with Rockhouse !!!! I've never been there, but have seen so many beautiful pics that Rockhouse is always on my mind! I'm not really interested in any place "touristy" and would prefer an exotic, romantic location. I go there on September 18th and don't mind taking plenty of pics for you...there's not really alot of info on the place on this forum...also, I've been collecting links to weddings that I've found at Rockhouse, so will list a few here so you can get the idea...
