Hi, Is anyone renting a timeshare in Kauai for their wedding? Renting from private owners? I know alot of the major resorts are part of timeshares (ie wyndam,m arriott) so I am not sure if it is cheaper to rent through a private timeshare owner or directly from a TA, or the resort. thanks

Sundy house is a beautiful location. I am from florida and two of my friends got married their in the past two years. If I wanted to get married in florida, I was going to choose that location also.

Ginae618, I am in the same boat as you! One of my friends has her honeymoon at Palma Real and loved so I am thinking about going with this resort based on my friends opinion and the pictures I have seen from trip advisor. However, I do notice on this website, there are not alot of people who are getting married at Palma Real. I am assuming it is because the price is a little higher than Paradisus Punta Cana and Dreams. I am planning to go to DR in Jan/Feb to review my top two resorts. To see how they look before I actually decide on one. Again if anyone can provide any more insight. I would appreciate it.

Is anyone planning their wedding at the Rose Hall Great House? Or has anyone had thier wedding at this location. I am thinking about having my wedding offsite and I really liked the photos of this location, but I wanted to get some information.

I have a question. If you are having your legal ceremony in hte DR is the actual ceremony conducted in Spanish? This is my determining factor in picking DR. I want to have my ceremony in English. Some TA have told me the majority of the cermonies are in spanish. There are some english speaking ministers but those are hard to find. Please let me know. thanks

Hello Everyone, My name is Tiffani. I am so happy I found this site. I was referred by someone on tripadvisor.com. I hope to find answers to all my questions since I am trying to pick which island I want to get married at. I am trying to decide between Jamaica or Dominican Republic. I would like to go to the Dominican Republic but I am concerned about having my civil ceremony there. I have been told that in addition to having the documents translated into Spanish the ceremony is also in Spanish. If anyone is getting married there and is having an English speaking ceremony, please let me know. Jamaica is my other option because it seems like the easiest place. I am just trying to narrow down a resort...there are so many to choose from. If anyone is getting married in either location, please send me an email with any advice or information you can provide. I open for suggestions ideas. Thanks,
