Kesley, I'm getting married at Secrets Maroma in February, and it's owned by the same people as Dreams....I am also using the Ultimate Package, which includes cocktail hour, food, etc fo 20 people. The numbers I got from the Secrets WC show that any extra people over the 20, it's about $50 per person. But again, thats from Secrets, but I assume they would be similar. I'm not sure how to attach docuements here, but my WC provided me with an "Optional items" menu with all the pricing for those things. You might want to ask the Dreams WC for something like that to help you out. Good Luck with planning!

I need some help from some brides that had sunset ceremony's. I want to have my ceremony at sunset, but still allow time for pictures before it gets too dark. Anyone have any advice on what time to start the ceremony? and how much time I should allot for pictures afterwards? Sunset for my date is supposedly at 5:51pm.

You'd think that after doing soo many weddings, Cecilia would have things running more smoothly since Simistars wedding last winter. Guess I'll have to try to go with the flow once I get down to the details with her. We'll see how well I can do that!! ;-) Thanks for the advice about airfare and accomodations. I talked to a Travel Agent who was trying to setup group rates for us, but they ended up being really expensive. I'll probably end up booking through Travelocity or Orbitz myself. Oh, and we are getting 2009 wedding package pricing! Which is nice. New York, curious, which package are you doing? and are if you are doing the Ultimate, which Mexican Trio music option are you choosing? Did Cecilia provide you with any music samples? Speaking of vendors....Does Cecilia provide samples of any of the vendors that come with the packages? I've seen the bouquets, but what about music, photography, videography? Thanks~Lynnea

Thanks everyone for posting your comments on this. I've been stressing as well. Would anyone mind sharing the info on the TA they used. Particularly one that guaranteed that they would provide a discount/refund if the price went down closer to the wedding date? Also - Never worked with a TA, typically book online by myself. Do they charge extra fees to assist you? or does this commission come from the resort instead? Thanks! ~Lynnea

Hi everyone, I need some help....Would anyone be willing to share the pricing they were able to get per night at Secrets? How far ahead of time did you make reservations and purchase airfare? I'm planning a wedding for next Spring and checked the resort pricing for that time and it's the full $700/night....Do I just need to wait until it gets closer to my wedding date to make reservations? I can afford to stay there with the current online pricing around $400/night (I was looking at pricing for November), but if that same deal isn't happening when I actually have my wedding I'm going to be horrified!! Any advice on pricing and how you set that up? Does the WC at secrets lock in good pricing for you and your guests? Sorry...I'm rambling. Any advice people can give about how they setup pricing for airfare and resort reservations would be greatly appreciated. THANK YOU!!!

Hi Everyone, I just got engaged to my bf of 6 years a few weeks ago!! We've talked about having a destination wedding for quite awhile. Now we're just trying to narrow it down to a destination. I think I'm down to two resorts: Palace Resorts and Secrets Maroma. I want it to be an Adults-only resort. I was able to read a couple excellently detailed reviews about Secrets Maroma, and it makes me feel more comfortable about that one....Anyone have any opinions about the two adults-only Palace resorts? I think it's Sun Palace and Aventura Spa?? No date set yet....But definitly sometime in the Winter since I'm from Minnesota and am looking forward to a warm escape. Any advice is welcome!
