  1. I can see the benifits of both! Orignallly I had a 1pm wedding and I was excited because the length of celebration and we are doiing it in Feb so it would be warmer.  I did have slight anziety about the resecption and coctail issue but figured it would work itself out.  Now I have a 5pm time and like the idea also.  The guests will have the day to do as they please and their night will be mine! I think pictures can be great at both times!

Remeber you could always do a TTD during sunset if your wedding doesn't fall during one!

    Good luck

Ha I want to put that on my site!

I was just told by a family memeber that no one is going to come to our wedding because of the violance in mexico!

Can I really post a travel advisory with the correct information on my website to clear all of these stupid rumors up?

Your ceremony on the beach will be beautiful. I really think these resorts should throw in the site visit for free if we book a lot of people wink.gif. It would help so much with the planning.
what other resorts are you looking at? Do you have a big group going? I feel better that the resort has been choosen and I am sure you will too. I started to really look into the trip advisor reviews and realized that the princess must be having a water issue right now....hopefully it will be cleared up by feb! wink.gif

How is the rest of your planning going?

Oh do you have the date reserved? What time?

We have the 5pm! Thats so crazy that we could be thier at the same time!

We were looking at the Grand Porto, Sandos Playacar, Occidental Grand Xcaret and then we found the Princess. Over all I think it is what we are looking for.

I have been ignoring the bad reviews for that over all it has REALLY great ratings on trip advisory and on this site.

Price is a big issue for us. The three other hotels we were looking at just kept getting more expensive. sad.gif

We are not doing any kind of reception or dinner so that didn't matter, and now it looks as if we will have too many people for the gazebo (over 50) so the beach is our only other option. Every beach really looks the same. (ceromony wise)

We really liked the property style and heard lots of positive things from the brides on this site.

I wish we could have gone on a site visit but wanted to put the money towards the wedding trip. Oh well I guess I really needed this site more than I thought! wink.gif

    Good Luck!
  5. Check out my website on the grand princess the link is in my siggy! Let me know how your stay is next month!

I was also looking into the Gran Porto Real/Royal which is IN Playa del Carmen SUPER convient to everything

I also looked into Occidental Xcaret Resort which is south of the area of Playacar

And Sandos which is down there as well.

I decided on the Princess based on price and it seemed to have good food, service, and rooms. The wedding itself we really didn't care where or how as long as we were getting married. wink.gif

I have lots of wedding stuff these resorts so just PM me if you need anything or have any questions
