I am shocked and have so much to say, yet at the same time speechless.... ok I would be fuming for the following reasons: 1. he didn't ask - you don't expect to find a picture of yourself on the internet like that. 2. Your FI must know he's your photog and as you did the BD shoot for him as SURPRISE, he could very innocently go on to look at CS's photos and see that - he'd know it was you straight away. 3. it's just plain goddam rude. I'm fuming for you (don't get me wrong, it is a gorgeous, gorgeous pic, but I'd feel violated if that was me. You got them done for your FI eye's - and some of ours - and that's it. ) Sorry, I'm so angry about that. hope you're ok hun. xx

First, I used destination weddings.com, and we had a GREAT expirence with our travel agent, Gayle. Please request for her if you choose that company. She has totally been on top of everything the entire time, and been totally honest with us from the begining. Even told us from the get go that Azul sensatori was pricey. (* lol, didn't really believe it in the begining) haha. arriving at as was so cool, got champagne and cold refreshing towels since it was so hot there. They do this for everyone, but you feel like royalty. There was a mix up with our room but they more than fixed it. We first checked into a swim up room. Which was a room off of the lazy river, but was not a swim up. Then we went and complained and requested a PREMIUM swim up room, which is different than the regular swim up. The premium has a jucuzzi right outside your swim up area, which is so fab, because the water is so cold in the pools, So at night you can have a lil after party in your outside swim up. BUT instead they ended up putting us in the honeymoon suite all week long. If you look up the prices for that, you'll know what a hook up this was, so awesome. Wrap around balcony and huge room. We enjoyed every min of it We used our jucuzzi in our room almost everynight. It does take long to fill, but we found things to do while it was running the resort was so nice and the food was amazing. The best part of the trip was the employees there. They are so nice and helpful. Its almost embarrasing how nice they are to you. Carry your plates, open doors, pulling out chairs, puttn your napkin on your lap, just very very good service all week long. The workers dont get paid sh*t there, so they basically live off your tips, so a little goes along way and alot gets you anything you want. If theres something you want. just ask. And ppl there will do work on the side if you really need something. The flower girls dressed ripped and they fixed it for free in less than an hour, and didn't charge me. And it was not a little rip, they re-sewed the entire caroline all the way around. Im so happy I chose that resort and definitly encourage anyone that is thinking about AS to do it. They know what they are doing down there. The offsite team.... well, lets just say if you have Tiffany, I would ask to be switched. She is either way over worked with alot of brides or doesn't know the resort at all. And will be catching alot of heat from my wedding and andreas. (mrs Vaughn) The wedding day went perfect. I don't even know what to say because i truely expected at least a lil something to not be perfect, but honestly, it was perfect ceremony, perfect reception. If anyone has any questions, ask away.... awww Amy, it makes me feel all warm inside with how happy you are and how great your whole experience was I am so so so totally made up for you! just want to give you a big hug! When I am in wedding, I usually just have get it blowdry so there is a little bit of body - the last two weddings I was in I had great people that did something more interesting - but it was all them, i.e., I sat in the chair and told them to do whatever they wanted. (Last wedding, the woman seriously played with my hair for an hour). If I get an updo, because I have no hair, I look bald. So, I not sure if I should try to do my hair myself, or if I should plan to have the hotel do it. I just don't want to spend $125 on something that won't work for my hair. Thoughts? It sounds like you know what you're own hair does and doesn't do....you could take a photo of your hair from the other wedding where the hairdresser volumised it, so the hairdressers in MX know how your hair CAN go....usually hairdressers can recreate really well. Or... just have a trial done when you get there and then you know beforehand if they can do your hair how you like it and you won't need to worry. Or....get your hairdresser to do your hair with your BMs/Mother/MIL with you so they can learn how to do your hair on the day. Can use this as option one, or as a back up plan! Good luck!

I was at the point where I wasn't going to be picky at all....as long as they were ivory, or white satin so I could dye them, I would be fine with them. I found one pair of shoes, size 5 that fit but they were $670! I think they were Jimmy Choos (sp?). Finally got told to go to Celebrations in Toronto and they actually had a couple pairs that fit! I will take a photo of them and post a picture. They are ivory and have a huge heel (I never wear heels cuz I have a bad back and can't usually find heels to fit) but I talked to a shoe maker and he said he can probably reduce the heel, so I might do that. They were $250, so a little expensive, but I dont think I could have found anything cheaper that would have fit. I'm so relieved I finally found some!! Saturday morning finished my invites and got them out in the mail, people should receive them this week, except for the people in Australia and Shanghai of course I had another person book and my MOH's mom (my second mom) tell me that she is going to make it which made my night since my own mother isn't coming, I told her she can be my mom and she is very happy to do so. I'm so overwhelmed with the love and caring people have shown me, my other MOH's dad offered to fly down there just for my wedding and surprise me there to walk me down the aisle and fly back right after the wedding (very busy guy) but it brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it. My aunt told me she bought me two sets of real pearls from Shanghai, one white, one black. She received pearls from my Uncle the night before her wedding and thought she would do the same for me. My mom also gave me a set of real pearls, over 80 years old that were passed down to her. I'm rolling in pearls now! LOL! Sunday, FI woke me up at 8am to give me a white gold locket on a necklace with a diamond in it and his face from one of our engagement photos inside. It's the sweetest thing ever. That night we had a mojito party where pretty much the entire time was spent talking about my wedding (not instigated by me in the slightest) and everyone is brimming with excitement, makes me feel amazing. Had a little drunken bonding moment with the BM, we're very alike so we butt heads a lot. A few mojitos and some real talk did the trick. Now today I'm recovering and trying to get my head clear so I can buckle down on wedding stuff. awwww, I want your weekend! sounded adorable and I'm so glad everyone is pulling together for you - no less than you deserve girl. enjoy xx
  10. hey girls....HAPPY MONDAY! I didn't have a very productive weekend... I spent most of it asleep! really didn't feel well and it was really cold, so as a result I spent a lot of time just dozing!! But I did do one thing...I bought our guest book for our AHR lol not really a lot in the scheme of things but still. Oh and I showed FI a signed guest photo frame thing and he agrees it would be nice to have one for the wedding for people in Mexico so I've just got to search for cheaper ones! and...I need your help....I still haven't got my TTD. I have now left it too late to order one from places like 'Light in the Box' and 'Little Coral' which had been ones I'd been looking at. I want more of knee-length dress I think for the TTD (something different from my wedding dress) but now I can't find anything I like, or that I like that won't go totally see-through when I get in the sea!! Do any of you know of a website I might be able to buy something 'off the shelf' so it doesn't take so long? I've got a budget of £100 (not sure what that is in $'s!!) I've just about got enough time to get something shipped from America, but not for them to make something and then ship. I'm MAJOR panicking...can you tell Thanks girls!

So, Amy F helped me (thank you Amy!!!!!!) - other travel agents or online companies like Expedia have access to rooms still. Its just Karisma Reservations and my specific tour operator who have their rooms sold out. So people can still get rooms, just for more money. Also, this is good for everyone else here to know - room blocks must be used or released 90 days in advance before the event. So by the end of February, there should be more rooms released. Just horrible decision I made using my Travel Agent - that is what this all works out to be. I am about to call her and describe my "disappointment" in her services. I just have to get my bullet points ready so I can scare her into getting her act together. 22. I have NO idea we had to pick so many songs!! maybe some of these are a US/Canadian thing? (I'm hoping!!) Bridal party (processional) aisle song - Canon in D (Major) Bride aisle song - same song...it won't take for one bridesmaid and me long enough to walk down the aisle to 2 songs! Wedding party (recessional) aisle song - still to be decided AH Reception entrance song - don't think we're doing this as we'll be having a meal and then mingling with people before the DJ starts...a bit of background music and then our first dance. First dance song - Unbelievable - Craig David.... beautiful song, not really a dancing song but FI sometime ago made me a slideshow of photos of us together with little messages and captions throughout and put this song as the background music...I'd never heard it before but it has been special to me ever since and he finds it a very apt song after a bad break up before. (now how to find a way to dance to it!!) Father/daughter song - hadn't even thought about it! lol Mother/son song - never even heard about this before! lol Cake cutting song - never occured to me!! lol Bouquet toss song - not doing this Garter toss song - we don't do a garter toss in the UK so not doing Last song of the night - anything! wow...I need to get a wriggle on!! Good job you posted the question Amy!!! lol
