  1. Hi! I'm in Bayonne and work in Jersey City. We decided on a DW because our guest list for a wedding at home was topping 300 people, and I wanted something small. We chose to do a cruise wedding so we could still have people there who couldn't afford to travel, but we also had a non-sailing guest limit that wasn't set by us so people understanding about why they weren't invited. We're getting married on the ship before it sails and will then cruise to 3 islands with 21 of our family and friends. I saw the meet up, but I don't drive and I'll be doing a walk for the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America in NYC that day (my dad has had ulcerative colitis for 27 years).
  2. We registered with Honeymoon Wishes and have already been given half the cost of a couples massage on our cruise and the full price of our St. Thomas excursion! I love that we can use the money for the actual things we registered for, or use it towards our cruise balance (which is zero now, so we won't be doing that) or just put the money on our sign & sail card! I didn't think people would use the registry, but it turns out everyone likes it better than the household registry!
  3. On the ship on embarkation day out of NYC. I have to call Lissy back about a wheelchair for my grandma, so I'll ask about that on Monday when I talk to her. That's a beautiful picture in your signature!
  4. I missed the deadline to send the pic (sorry!), but I lost a pound this week!

There were no forms with it...just examples. I'll ask the wedding dept. Is A Wedding For You, Inc., the same as The Wedding Experience? None of my forms say The Wedding Experience. All of the ceremony related info says "A Wedding For You, Inc." Thanks! And Congratulations, Lauren!
  6. Carnival Weddings sent me something from A Wedding For You with a Sample Ceremony, poem options, options for a rose ceremony, sand ceremony and unity candle ceremony....do you just tell them what you want a week before the wedding? I just want to make sure everything is right.
  7. Have a great time dress shopping, Renee!
  8. I didn't even lose half a pound, but I didn't gain!
  9. They haven't contacted you?! I'm definitely going to have to contact them...I'll freak out if we're a month before the wedding and I haven't spoken to them.
  10. I heard it's a small bouquet of white roses. I don't have a picture, but it's nothing big or fancy. Flowers weren't a big deal for me, and I would've used theirs, but they only provide one bouquet and one bout, and we have 3 bridesmaids and 4 groomsmen, so I ordered silk bouquets and bouts from eBay My World - yesss-i-do
  11. It's Wednesday and I haven't touched a piece of chocolate! How's everyone else doing with giving something up for the week? Annddd I did Wii Fit yesterday! I tried to do a little of the aerobics, but started to get dizzy. I was able to do 30 minutes of yoga and balance though!

(he is in his early 50's) (2nd time around for both of us). He is fine, just waiting for tests today or tomorrow. So needless to say I made the wrong choices in eating yesterday. The drive thru at Arbys was just to tempting, I only ate half of my combo. So thats a bonus. the scale has not changed so I am unsure if I did any damage but I guess the next few days will tell. I am back on track today and promised myself no matter what I will make better choices. I have printed out the Garden Vegetable Frittata, and looking forward to trying it. The diet plan I am following is low carb till June, then I am switching to following the Beach Bodies diet that came with my Jurbo Jam, it seems to follow all the food guides. Have a great day! How stressful! I'm glad to hear your FI is ok....that's scary!

I'm sooo nervous!!! I've been in the U.S. for 10 years, but gettting my citizenship is a big deal! I hope I don't get nervous and mess up my answers Good Luck! You'll get your citizenship!

At least I don't buy anything at full price lol.
  16. Just sent in my picture. Only down 1.6 pounds but I had a migraine for 2 and a half days this week so I'm not surprised. Eliana ~ I love that water bottle! Mine only holds 16 oz....I should get a bigger one. Thanks for the recipe. It looks delicious!

My guilty pleasure food is chocolate....I don't think I've ever gone a day without some kind of chocolate, let alone a whole week. I even eat it for breakfast. I think I will say I won't eat a chocolate bar or a piece of chocolate for the week, but I will allow myself to eat it in a breakfast bar or a Vitatop. I won't torture myself lol!

  21. Congratulations and welcome to BDW!
  22. I have 4 on my side and FI has 5 on his, but his best man may not be able to make it because he's deployed and my maid of honor is having financial difficulties and may not make it up here from Georgia (she's a non-sailing guest)....either way it will be uneven. I'm not worried about how it looks though. I want the pictures to focus on me and FI anyway lol.
  23. Welcome to BDW! We're having a cruise wedding, but we decided to get married on the ship before it sails so we can have non-sailing guests. There's a section for cruise brides on here. St. Thomas seems to be a popular port for cruise weddings. Good luck with your planning!
