If she cant get you a deal less the 1.50$ it isn't worth it. I got the labels at www.vistaprint.ca they were free, I just had to pay for shipping.

Tracy I'm with you on the cost...the fake one's are pretty expensive and pretty much equal in cost to the Resorts fresh flowers. Real Touch are not at the Michael's here in Calgary either. I have a ton of flowers to do...well nothing elaborate but 14 boutonnieres and 8 flowers for women (corsages?) and 5 bridesmaid bouquets - I swear I might as well outfit the entire resort with flowers!!! lol If you Canadian gals find some nice real looking flowers for a good deal - like CHEAP!! lol Let me know and I'll forward you any info I find!! You must have dollar stores there right? It's where I got my flowers. Maybe you can go look around. I made the centerpieces and the BM bouquet. I figured I'd just buy the Bout's at the resort since they are only $6 this is what they came out. I figure for the BM only cost me 3$ bouquet, and the same for the centerpiece (plus the vase ,1.25$) they aren;t the best but hey they were cheap, so good enough lol! (BM bouquet) (centerpiece)

I'm telling the FI that we (I since I'm planning the whole thing) will need a vacation before our wedding for a break from all the planning and stress. Def a part/full time job!!!

LOL!! I know the feeling of always thinking what am I missing on here!! 3 and 3 is nice, I have 3 girls (hopefuly they will all make it) and so far we only have 1 GM. Feeling fustrated. Trying not to worry about it tho. I just found out today, pretty much everyone is ignoring our rsvp dates and will reply when they feel like it!! I don't want to be or sound like a b**ch but I'm at a point where I say, just forget coming,we'll enjoy much better not stressing over who is and isn't coming. (besides the people who have rsvp'd already)

I recently went to Michaels (the closes Michaels for me is in Ottowa, 2 hour drive each way) So I made sure I knew everything in there. There wasn't anything for me there, I knew I could get half the stuff there half off at walmart or the dollar store. They do not have real touch flowers there, just the fake ones. They are very nice and look pretty real. But they are about 5-20$ a stem. At that point you can get real flowers from the resort. Just my opinion tho! I agree, most bridal couples hardly remember their wedding because they are so busy. Yes it's a tad stressful trying to plan a wedding from far, but the day of the wedding I think we will be pretty relax, and stress free. We will actually remember it because we wont be busy! I can't wait until I just get to the resort. I know thats when the stressing will stop!

CherryBomb, I love you BM dress, it's so pretty, looks very comfertable, shouldn't be hot at all. What color are you picking? I've decided to put the FI in a tan or beige suite. The GM (we only have 1 so far) we haven't decided yet, should we go with a suit for him, or shirt (the color the match the BM dress) and dress pants (beige).? You do you girls think? I think if we put the GM in relax wear, it wont suit my dress or the FI suit. I'm having a hard time figure what I can replace the fan in my OOT bags for the guys. I'm really hoping one of you would have an idea for me, nothing to $$. I don't want to put a fan in for the girls and nothing to replace it for the guys. I was thinking like a blow up volleyball, but I read someone put them in their bag,and no one used them. shankd, LOL I'm sure you not even closed to old!! It's true, I am starting to get the hang of the whole Ipod and Itune stuff. I have what we called, lack of patients. lol.

I love all the ideas here. I on the other hand actually know what I want A puppy!! lol but it doesn't make sence for us right now since we live in an apartment with 4 cats,We will wait until we buy a house. So I thought a set of dimond earings! since I never ask for dimonds. I thought it be nice to wear for the wedding. I already gave the FI his wedding gift. His a huge fan of Montreal canadian hockey. So i bought him tickets, which he already used. lol (I took a picture of him with his ticket, I will send it over in the morning of the wedding to remind him with a little love note)

thanks for the info, as I know nothing about Ipods and docking systems... I feel old. When I was younger I could have figured these things out in a second, not anymore!! Starting to get the hang out the Ipod tho, and the stupid Itunes. Your so right about the first dance, Carolina said it was ok to do my first dance at the restaurant, I may re conisder to just have it all at the gazebo at night (first dance, father/daughter dance, mother/song dance, bouquet and garter toss)

It is very stressful.. lol I'm like you ebredhawk I choose DW to avoid the wedding stress.. so much for that!! I recently said to the FI I think it's a little more stressful doing DW because you have to wait until you get there to do the real planning. But we are here to give help and to get help, luck for that. I'm with you on that, as long as the parents and the bridal party show, everyone else is a bonus.

Help! More bridesmaids than groomsmen

I feel so much better after reading this thread, I've been nagging at the FI to go the same amout in the bridal party. I have 2 BM and a MOH all three of which are coming. The Fi's friends we aren't sure so far he has 1 gm (which is the MOH bf) Now I don't care if he just has 1 and I have 3 girls. After all.. it is a DW!!! Thanks for the thread!!! -

The sound that comes out of it is fantastic and I think he even bought it at Walmart and it wasn't very expensive. We have used it on all of our down-south trips while we're sitting around the pool or hanging in our hotel room. We use it when we go camping or to baseball tournaments. About the dress, I bought mine a few months back and am expecting they'll have it ready for me in December. Then it's about 2 months for alterations so depending on where you plan on getting your dress, I'd start shopping soon =) I just bought an Ipod nano for the wedding (I'm planning on having the dancing part in the garden somewhere) so I was thinking of the exact same thing, do you know what brand it is? I love walmart. I'm def looking for something not too $$$ Also the docking system you have, would I be able to hoock it up to another set of speakers? As I would like to use this for our souce of music for our ARH.

I really don't think there is anything wrong with just doing something really nice for the reception favour as suppose to OOT bags. I think the only reason I am even doing OOT bags is because we aren't having allot of people come. SO i thought it would be nice to show how much we appreciate their travels. But if we were to have 50 people. I would do just that, engrave shoot glass. Or something around the lines. This site does give allot of ideas, sometimes to much! lol

Ziper top, smaller bag sown on the inside for key, money wallet what not. I will be giving those out to parents, in laws and MOH. I have smaller ones for the aunts, uncles and friends that come....Is that wrong? I was looking at getting bubba's from Canadian tire when they go on sale. The 20oz mugs are big enough, and perfect size drink. They really keep your drinks cold.....Yay for Bubba's!!!...lol I found an amazing site for the tote bags. I will have to do iron-on but I did a rough est. and for 12 bags with tax it'll come up to $22. I like the idea of different bags for different people nothing wrong with that at all. I like the bubba keg idea too. I just went to canadian tire, nothing on special yet. I'll wait as well see what goes on special, especially boxing day! Sounds like you got a great start on the oot bag items. The spanish for dummies, I figured save money and print them myself. I already checked into making my own bags and it would come to allot more then the bags I saw on the site. But it could be cheaper for you, depending where u get the fabric. Let me know what you end up deciding!

Has anyone bought their dress for April? Am I outrageously behind? I am in the same boat for the reception. Bringing my iPod but not too sure how all of that will work. Don't want to be up and down flipping through music so maybe I will ask a cousin or someone to help out during the evening. Caribbean lover, since my wedding is the evening before yours, maybe we can touch base at some point and I will let you know how things worked out! Trial by error (ugh). I guess this means I need to bring a bulky docking station. I think I will leave my music worries until the end.... yep... that'll be the last thing I work on. Have you gals finished your OOT bags? Or are you doing those? I bought the coolest, prettiest bags on ebay! They arrived recently and I was thrilled with the quality... so much more vibrant and larger than anticipated. I thought they were small but figured I would give one to each female guest and a different bag for the men, but these are roomy enough to put two of several items (mugs, room key holders, etc.) in each one so the couples can share them. As soon as I have the contents together I will post photos. Anyone else working on OOT bags? I bought my first dress June of 08 lol and I'm only getting in this Thursday (hopefuly) because we too were planning an in town wedding. So I bought an evening dress in July it's already altered hanging in my closet, waiting for it to be worn! That would be amazing to meet up let me know what you would advice me to do or not to do. I'm really hoping the girls that are getting married the same week as us, we could meet up for drinks meet face to face. We will have been talking all together for months! I have a few things for the oot bags, lip balm with spf and I got labels with our names and date and I put them on. aloe, hand cream, first aid kits. I am still missing a few, but the most important is the travel mug.. can't find a good canadian site with no min order. I found the tote bags. Just have to order them WHere is everyone at with their oot bags?

I found a great site for tote bags, But you'd have to do transfer-on's or iron-on's if you wanted to put something on the bags, But they are cheap and there is no min order. Canadian site! Elmhirst Packaging Ltd. - Other Items
