  1. Unfortunately, Sascha never blogged our photos But, he was great to work with.
  2. Beautiful, Steph! I love this little montage you did! What a great idea
  3. Thanks ladies! I loved Fernando! He was awesome, although not cheap. His hair stylist was good too, but definitely take a picture of what you want. I did and mine was perfect; my bridesmaids tried to explain what they wanted, but they had a harder time and werent 100% pleased even though it still looked good... Hope that makes sense!
  4. @celticgirl- if you want to give me your email, I'll send you the files. There are too many to upload here.
  5. Thank you. I loved the poem and e.e. cummings as well! I did those invites in purple and orange (almost used those colors to begin with!). We had a ton of compliments on them!!! Try talking to Sarah, she did her best to stay within a budget for us. We didn't get fancy jackets or sleeves so that we could afford the invites, and of course our guests didn't know the difference.
  6. @ torilynnsmith - I got the bridesmaids sandals from Nordstrom (BP Shoes) and mine I ordered online (I think from Shoes.com). They are different. I had a hard time finding mine; I think the design is no longer made and Steve Madden has a new design out that is similar. In all honesty though, I liked the bridesmaid's shoes better and they fit better.
  7. Parent Gifts - Photo Books from ShutterFly I gathered older family/baby photos and told our "story" through photos, all the way to our engagement pics Parents loved them! Also, I purchased MIL poem in hand calligraphy from r8chel06 (sorry, no picture) in a black frame. Here is the poem: Mother-in-law' they say, and yet, Somehow I simply can't forget 'Twas you who watched his baby ways Who taught him his first hymn of praise, Who smiled on him with loving pride When he first toddled by your side. 'Mother-in-law' but oh, 'twas you Who taught him to be kind and true, When he was tired, almost asleep, 'Twas to your arms he used to creep; And when he bruised his tiny knee, 'Twas you who kissed it tenderly.. 'Mother-in-law' they say, and yet, Somehow I never shall forget How very much I owe To you, who taught him how to grow. You trained your son to look above, You made of him the man I love; And so I think of that today, And then with thankful heart I'll say OUR MOTHER Then, for my mom, I purchased this custom made frame from thesugaredplums on ETSY. My mom did a reading of the e.e. cummings poem "I carry your heart" at our ceremony. Accessories Garter from StarBridal on ETSY (my husband is a HUGE fisherman and hunter) Bouquet charm from ShutterFly Wedding Shoes -- SO glad I went with flats!! 8. Hi ladies! I thought I would post pictures of my planning process...everything came together wonderfully! FI and I met 4 years ago through mutual friends and made it official -- twice! We had a small civil ceremony at home on June 7th, then did our symbolic ceremony in Cancun a week later on June 14th. We put our deposit down in April 2010, so I had 14 months to plan Save the Date - sent in September 2010 created by Sproullie Designs - ETSY The dress - "Casablance" Blue by Enzoani Boarding Pass Invitations - sent January 2011 created by Sproullie Designs on ETSY Rings His - custom made Hers - Costco OOT Bags Purple/Green Totes - JoAnn's Fabric Store $1.00/piece Chapstick from More and More Originals on ETSY Door hanger, postcard, welcome book cover, wristlet business card (big hit!), magnet made on Vista Print Plastic Stein from Factory 21 - worked with Amanda Welcome Book inspired by BDW member Autumn MORE TO COME...
  9. We're back! Wedding was AMAZING! Can't wait to get our professional photos back, but here's a teaser... Hope everyone else is happily married (or just about!) and lovin' life! I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's pictures
  10. Officially MARRIED! Yay! Some family drama made the day far from perfect, but overall beautiful small ceremony and we're hitched! Glad we get to do it again next week in paradise!!!
  11. CONGRATULATIONS!!! You are officially a MRS.! So glad to hear that it went well! I think our legal ceremony will be the same -- that is me in a bunch of tears!
  12. Jess - I know what you mean...I teach middle school and our last weeks are a joke! It's all about babysitting most of them once this week ends, which is really quite exhausting!! What do you teach? At least the light (AKA Cancun sunshine) is at the end of the tunnel! I know the weather is unpredictable; it just doesn't go with my Type A personality! Oh well, we'll just hope for the best!
  13. Jess! It looks amazing! Everyone will love all the work you've put in! I can't wait to hear all about it! Congrats, girly!
  14. BTW girls, the weather isn't looking so hot right now...showers and thunderstorms through the 9th! I know the weather changes quickly and scattered storms really are scattered, but still...hoping, praying, crossing fingers for good weather!!!
  15. Definitely having the roller coaster of emotions...the wedding has ended up costing way more than we expected (no surprise there, I guess), but it has made me question our decision. In the end, I know it will be beautiful and everything will be perfect. Like everyone else though, I'm just ready to be there already!!! Jessica - I'm a teacher too and I feel ya! We get out June 9th (next week )! But, I only actually have 5 days with the kids left! Seems so crazy! Our civil ceremony at home is a week from today, so we'll be officially married in ONE WEEK! Then, we'll do it again (symbolically) in TWO weeks! Yay!
  16. LOVE YOUR DRESS!! Will the beach have a runner on it? Maybe that would make shoes more do-able? Heels would definitely be hard and you don't want to ruin your dress in the first 20 min what about something with a little wedge? Just enough to get you off the ground?
  17. Oh, no! I agree with Amanda and looking on the bright side...better here than there...but still, you poor thing! So jealous you are moving into a new house!!! So much fun to start your new lives together in a new house to call your own!
  18. Looks beautiful! I agree, I think less is more in terms of jewelry, etc.
  19. I know!!! My list has definitely dwindled... -finish packing -- I already started -pick up dress -print menus and programs -find airport transportation from home to airport -figure out a sitter for our cats -Brazilian Blowout -mani/pedi -stock up on sunscreen, hairspray, etc. @aeluzu - Your bachelorette party sounds amazing! What fun! An erotic art show? I think that sounds disturbingly fantastic I don't get a bachelorette party because literally, all of my friends are either pregnant or have had a baby in the last couple of months. They would be no fun! I figure I'll just have to have MORE FUN in Mexico!
  20. Ladies -- have you thought about tipping? Will you be tipping your WC? DJ? Photographer? Wait Staff? Etc? I've read that photographers don't need to be tipped if they have their own company... do you agree? What about the coordinator? What's a fair tip?
