Hola Girls,
Here you have other review:
DJ:
My husband and I hired DJ Doremixx and it was one of the best decisions. He was very responsible. He came to meet with us a couple of days prior to the wedding to ease my nerve; even though, in hindsight, it was probably not necessary as we sent him our reception timeline and requests ahead of time. We requested a couple of songs for the dancing portion and left the remaining time under his control. He came equipped with spot lights and microphones. The dinner portion ran overtime so we only had ~20mins to dance. DJ Doremixx helped everyone jump right into it with great songs, balloons and masks. It was such a great party that I wish we had more time with DJ Doremixx on the dance floor. We moved the party over to Desire the resort disco for the remainder of the evening.

Hola Girls!
Here you have one more!!!
DJ Ivan (A++++++)
he was late for the meeting, but had a valid excuse. He took down all of our notes and we paid him then. The night of the wedding I can't begin to tell you how fantastic he was. He is worth EVERY penny! The stage is also a must if your people love to dance. He even extended out the wedding an extra 20 minutes at the end because nobody wanted to get off of the dance floor. At one point one of my bridesmaids said she wished he would have played a bad song so she could give her feet a rest. We requested no slow songs and no wedding typical songs. I did this because I knew the people who were attending and knew what they would like and want. I suggest you do the same since you want everyone to have fun. I opened up requests to whoever wanted to and it worked out great. He definitely made the party! His dance floor made you feel like you were in a club also! It was great. At one point the staff even let us get behind the bar and mix our own drinks. We had people coming up to us the next day saying that they saw our wedding reception and it looked like the most fun wedding they have ever seen. They said they wanted to crash it. We had 3 different groups of party crashers come in and unfortunately we had to boot them out or else we would have to pay the $60/person...no thanks. So most of them stayed on the beach by our dance floor and danced by the ocean with us. Pretty funny!

Hola Girls!
Here you have one more review from our services:
DJ DOREMIXX: 10/10
DJ Doremixx (Ivan Gomez) is a vendor on this forum and I am soooooo glad that we used him. He was absolutely fabulous! I would recommend him to anyone having a wedding in the Riviera Maya. He was very reasonably priced (Especially since we had to pay the $500 to the hotel for the outside vendor fee), spoke very good English, and was pretty much the best DJ I have ever had an experience with! He came to the resort the day before the wedding to meet with us and finalize everything and he showed up 3 hours before our reception to set up. He brought fireworks, balloons, masks, and other assecories which my guests all loved! He played every song on our playlist and kept the party going until after the end of our reception. There really isn’t anything else I can say besides, “HIRE HIM!

I am really sorry if you don´t liked our service and I want to apologize by this way.
I really apreciate your comments good or bad this will make us learn and do our best to offer the best service as we can.
I just want to clarify,
WC: first during the meeting with your WC at Mil Amores,on past November 16th, 2009, after our meeting in cancun, I had to drive from cancun to Tulum about 1:40 minutes, I arrived to the hotel and she was not there because she went to other place knowing that we had an appoinment, so she never gave me any information about your wedding reception
There were a lot of issues since you get your WC as miscomunication, I sent her a lot of e-mails asking for detailed information, and never receive an answer from her, also she never gave you our Timeline form with the music form, we always sent this form and ask this information because is really important, I asked her about the schedule for the reception and she doesn´t knew anything she just told me that she will inform me when you will be arriving and when you will be doing your first dance.
Music: As I never receive your playlist I was playing my own music according to the music that your husband gave me in the iPod, and your guest were dancing, unfortunately we can mix the music from an iPod, we have to copy the music from the iPod to the computer, but your music was protected.
About the first dance, that was because the power generator that she rented, was not enough for all the equipment that we took. (we take all the extra lights for palm trees, wash light for walls, including the equipment from our package etc.. and when you was on your first dance the power generator get stopped.
Delay:
I accept my delay during the wedding day, but as I explained her, one of our tire burst, and we had to drive slowly to the next town, take down all the equipment from our truck, we changed the tire, take up again the complete equipment and then drive to the hotel, about these issues, we never know so that´s why we always go out early to the hotel.
Your WC told me that you needed us ready at 6:00 pm and we were ready on time.
I asked her why there was not organization, and she told me that your wedding was her first wedding as WC.
This is the first bad review that we get and I hope the last one, also I know that this forum can take us up or down but I want to clarify.

DJ Doremixx Review - Cancun, Playa Del Carmen & the Riviera Maya
in Riviera Maya and Cancun Wedding Vendors

Hola Girls,
I just copy and paste the last review from our services, you can go and read the reviews in to the vendors section in the next link:
http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/products/dj-s-doremixx/reviews
I had read many great reviews from other brides about Doremixx (www.doremixx.com) as a DJ for other wedding in the Cancun/Playa Del Carmen area and Doremixx was even better than I imagined. Believe me, this is a compliment, because I am the pickiest bride. I was very nervous, since I am live in California and didn’t know what to expect from a DJ in Mexico. I have to say Ivan who owns Doremixx runs one of the best DJ companies in Mexico. He assigned DJ Temo to my wedding and he was fabulous! He spoke great English and was very professional! My wedding was in Playa del Carmen, Mexico on November 12, 2010.
Doremixx DJ services are better than any DJ I’ve experienced at weddings in the United States. They are the first DJ I have ever experienced at any wedding that could get the older parents/grandparents in the crowd dancing as much as the younger crowd. Everyone was having the best time and hardly anyone was sitting, they were all dancing – ALL NIGHT! Unbelievable! I even got grandpa break dancing by the end of the evening. I’ve never seen him so happy. I did give Ivan (the owner) of Doremixx a list of songs and DJ Temo followed my directions to a tee, including when to play the wedding march, first dance, all my announcements, etc. Doremixx was the best, because during the dancing portion of the wedding (after dinner) DJ Temo took my suggested songs and added his own flare. He mixed some oldies and some new hip music, but melded it together beautifully. He even took music requests at the wedding from guests and could download music in seconds. DJ Temo told me that he changes the music based on the crowd. So if a song wasn’t getting the crowd going, he would go back to the style of music that got the crowd excited. It’s a bit of trial and error at first, but once he figures out the right style, he sticks within a set of music that works for the crowd. Isn’t that what you pay a DJ to do? Doremixx did it perfectly!
Doremixx is the only DJ company I know that provides cold fireworks during the first dance to make it more romantic and dramatic. We choreographed a first dance by mixing 3 different songs, and DJ Temo ignited the cold fireworks on the dance floor right at the perfect time just as I asked. You can also order a light up dance floor from them if you have your reception on the beach. I read in reviews that this was a great feature. Doremixx also hands out these cool dance props (different colored masks, balloons, and glow sticks) to the wedding guests to use while dancing. I’ll try to attach some photos to the review so you can see. When I saw that as part of the DJ package, I didn’t think much of it, but it was actually the biggest hit at the wedding. No other DJ that I have seen provides these giveways…it added to the festive atmosphere at the wedding. People were raving about it! The wedding guests actually thought I bought those items and gave them to the DJ to hand out, because nobody had received such things from a DJ before at other weddings. It made me look like the superstar bride.
The only thing Ivan can work on is responding to emails more quickly. I was a nervous bride, so when I didn’t get a response from Ivan within 24-48 hours, I got nervous. Just know that he is very busy, but completely reliable. The week of my wedding we met 3 days before the wedding day to go over the music list I emailed him. He was on top of all the details. I felt so confident after our meeting and going into the wedding. I had a wedding coordinator in Mexico (Erica Bresson @http://www.weddingsinplaya.com/aboutus.html). She was amazing! I so highly recommend her and she took over communications with Ivan of Doremixx. It was easier for her to contact him via phone and to meet with him about DJ service details for my wedding since they live near each other in Mexico.
All in all, Ivan and DJ Temo of Doremixx far exceeded my expectations! Two months after the wedding I still have wedding guests raving about the DJ at our wedding. That says it all to me. I picked the best DJ in Mexico! I have found that the things people remember about your wedding are your vows to each other, the beautiful location and setting of your wedding, and the DJ. You get these things right and you’ll have the best wedding ever that your friends and family will rave about. So book Doremixx early, because they get booked fast so you can get one of the three things done right!
Feel free to email me with any questions. Happy Bride, Linda ([email protected])
