  1. Hi Ladies!! I am staying at Riu Negril Jan 14-19th, 2010 and getting married at Negril Escape Resort on Jan 17th!! I stayed at Riu Negril a few years ago...very pretty resort!!
  2. HI Everyone!! I am in the process of booking my wedding at Negril Escape as well!! It took forever, tons of research, going back and forth and finally...a quick trip down to Jamaica to make up our minds!! We love the vibe of Negril and wanted something a little more authentic, so after checking out MoBay and Negril we went with Negril. We love Sunset at the Palms...it is so cool and exactly where we want to stay with our guests. It's like a mini-paradise with all their garden pathways and trees...the treehouse style rooms are awesome and there's a great beach across the street. For the guests that don't want to stay there, we are going to offer Riu for them. That way our guests can decide what they kind of accomoadtions they prefer. Unfortunately Sunset is too small to host our wedding (the max is 60ppl) and we are concerned that we may have more. Therefore I am working with a local planner at Jamaican Journeys who is fantastic!! She is helping us coordinate the Groom's Dinner, our wedding, and maybe a sunset cruise or something. We are having the wedding at Negril Escape. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see it while we were down there because we didn't know that we would end up booking our wedding like this. (originally we were thinking Iberostar for the convenience of location) Iberostar was beautiful, but again we want something smaller and more intimate. Anyway, Negril Escape is the perfect option for people who want to be able to invite everyone (the prices are so reasonable) and still have a cliff-side wedding! Please feel free to PM with any questions or thoughts!! Congrats, ladies!! All the best, michelle
  3. Hello!! Wow can't believe that my FH and I are finalyl making progress. After so much research and thinking we are signing our contracts this week!! We will be staying at Sunset at the Palms and getting married at Negril Escape in January 2010!! We are working with Ari from Jamaican Journeys to help coordinate everything...she's fantastic!!! Good luck to everyone!! AND CONGRATS!! Michelle
  4. Hi Tanya, Congrats, so exciting!! I'm leaning towards Iberostar Rose Hall Suites as well for next January 2010!! I'm just waiting for my Travel Agent to get the 2010 group rates to me and they are very slow with that...hopefully as soon as I have that info I should be able to make the decision. I haven't been to a lot of all-inclusive resorts myself, so for me to pick one for my wedding was a little hard. I'm not sure what to expect. But I think the Iberostar looks really nice, the reviews are great so far on trip advisor, and it's the easiest option for my guests etc.. I was also considering Grand Palladium, Rose Hall, and Half Moon...but fairly sure that Rose Hall and Half Moon will be too $$ for my guests....I'm still waiting for all those rates too... What made you choose Iberostar? I know...not too many Ibrostar Rose Hall Suites birdes on here...I'm keeping my fingers crossed it's because it's new as well and not some other reason...
  5. Good Morning Everyone!
