Sounds like you have received lots of reassurace already.......but I got married at Dreams the day of the earthquake. It orrucured just less than an hour after our ceremony and we didn't even know anything had happened until we saw CNN the following morning! You will have an amazing time and just keep reassuring your family that everything will work out perfectly ;o) Have a fantastic wedding and holiday! I would do it all over again in a heartbeat!

I haven't been on the forum in a couple weeks and just got caught up........I'm not going to be discouraged about the resort, I'm leaving for Punta Cana in 5 days and getting married in 7 days.......I don't want to add "worrying" to my long list of things to do before we leave. I spent alot of time researching before I chose Dreams and I'm still happy that's where we've chosen to get married ;o) It's what you make of it and I was already going to request to see my room before checking in. I suggest that you let all your guests know to request the same and there hopefully won't be any major disappointments. Congrats to all the brides, this is such an exciting time for all of us! I'm sure that our wedding days will exceed all expectations! I'll post my experience as soon as I'm back home in a couple weeks and hopefully I can give you all some peace of mind.

Haven't been on here in awhile but wanted to touch base! Deaprting in 30 days for Dreams! It's been a blast planning everything and Sharron the WC I've been working with has been amazing! Just booked all the hair and make-up appointments for the wedding day! So excited! Hope you are all having a great time plannig there as well! Take care! I have heard very good things about the Bordeaux Terrance as well and from the pictures I've seen it's really beautiful over looking the water ;o) That is where we decided to hold our cocktail party / welcome party!

We have our wedding date booked now for Jan 13, 2010 at Dreams and I am so excited!! Unfortunately we don't we going to Dreams prior to the wedding to check it out........hopefully the wedding coordinator there is great. She was very good at getting back to me fast with a date. Any past brides that got married there that have any advice or feedback about the resort and their experience?

Hi Everyone! I was really excited to hear about this website. The information I've learned already about what resorts are worth getting married at has been really helpful! My name is Nicole and I'm from Calgary. Our wedding is will be in January 2010 sometime within the second week in the Dominican.....waiting on the resorts to let me know what availabilities they have for dates and times for the ceremony. We have been working with a fantastic travel agent (anyone lookin for one in the Calgary area let me know and I will certainly give you her contact info). So far we've got it narrowed down to two resorts.......Dreams Punta Cana and Paradisus Punta Cana. I'm very anxious to hear about your experiences and share mine in return!
