I'm curious as to what types of flowers are in season in Mexico in January. Although, since the climate doesn't fluctuate much, perhaps it's the same types of flowers yearound.

The bouquet I have my heart set on is orchids and roses. Haven't really decided on the bouttenieres or BM bouquets yet. Not sure about centerpieces either.

I know that some types of orchids have to be specially ordered and shipped via Mexico City, but perhaps there are some orchids that are native to Mexico and more readily available?

I know that dahlias are native to Mexico, so I'm assuming that those have good availability. I don't mind paying extra to have certain flowers shipped, but I'd like to know what's locally grown.

If anyone can shed some light, please do :)
this was my proof for my real touch flowers that i have changed a little bit like the ribbon etc but generally they are gunnalook like that.

and my centerpeices i WAS thinking of doing 8" circle mirror glass with 3 different level candles with some petals around it and turquoise tealights,. now not sure. either that or a rectangle glass with limes and calalilies! or limes with those little water ball things cheesy.gif lol

and about flower avaliablility there is a thread for mexicos flower avaliablility under the flower and decoration thread, it's a sticky i believe!

This website is amazing, but its all a little overwhelming...I havent finished reading everyone's posts yet. We only have about 10 people booked at this point, but I'm pretty sure we will have between 30 and 40 guests - trying to gently remind people that they need to start planning.

When are you guys going to mail out your invitations? Have you thought about when you will ask people to rsvp by? I thought I read that I have to supply the guest list 45 days prior to the wedding??
i sent out STD in january and then my invites in may, and my deadline was today for RSVP's. people that didnt answer to my RSVP's i;ve been calling.. lol. SRY BUT IM NOT WAITING AROUND FOR PEOPLE. IT's YES OR NO! haha.. anyways yea i sent out my invites because it had all the hotel info and travel info on it etc. and i'll probs send out somthing little to the confimed guests b4 we go!

If I have other guests staying at the Beach, Colonial, or Tropical, do they have to pay for a day pass to attend the wedding?

    Thanks ladies!
no, for the day of the wedding your guests will just be "upgraded" for the day free of charge :P ( which i think it partially included in your package thats why they are so expensive :P )
