How do you pick which one to choose?

Do you think it will be too chilly/windy in January? I don't want my guests to have to eat sand with their dinner....and have their hair blowing in the faces.

    Hmm...

    Opinions??

what day in january are you getting married??

it depends what you want, i wanted BEACH wedding so i wanted to be on the BEACH! not in an open air grill or anything i wanted the beach! lol.....keeping in mind IF you want a beach wedding then you have to pay a minimum of 3040 for the strawberry package. so it's really up to you.. all the open air grill are beautiful as well as banquet halls but i wanted to hear the ocean and waves etc. so just think about whats important to you and go from there.. i also am concidering fire dancers and i think having the outside location would be perfect for that...

good luck let us know what you decide!

  2. PINA13: there is a unoffical barcelo forum if you google it.  when you go on it on the right hand side under "photos" there are pictures of all of the resturants there also is one other location called "playa azul" which is like a covered outside location it kinda looks like a long rectangle tiki hut it's super cute, this is where i'm getting married!!

What size of paper lanterns are you ladies getting? I am having a really hard time deciding, 8 inch? 10? 12? 14? 16? etc. I did think to mix and match colours and sizes (I am going with yellow, pink, orange) Should I also get white or stick with coloured lanterns?

i have 12" and think they are PERFECT! 2LED's w/ 1 battery lights it up just perfect!

i also have Ivory Blue & Green! ( my colours )

I just wanted to give you a word of warning...if you do send stuff down, make sure it's not the "important" elements that will make or break your wedding.

If you already know all this, ignore me cheesy.gif
Oh for sure I wouldn't sent anything down that so so so important... Just stuff to make it easier on me ha. I've already got a bunch of family carrying items in their suit cases for me haha and I have like 4 lugages b/w me and the FH

it's usually dark around 530-6 ish... so the ceremony/reception would be completely dark... which would be fab with lots of candles/lanterns ETC!!
  9. i bought 50, and made my own throwies.. i'll bring them all down and use what i use and not use what i dont need. lol. i didn't want to look like i didn't have enough, or too little. or too much for that fact but atleast having them there... gives the option of using them. i'll be selling them after anyways so if i buy too many then oh well, it's 1 brides lucks!!

Love the bouquet charms. Where did you find those? My dad passed away 11 years ago, and I would love to have something to represent him. I had not really figured out how to work him in yet. Although I know we will have one of the BM or GM do a toast for those that can't make it, but are with us in spirit.
i found a maker that lives in the US off ebay!

As for flowers, I don't really have a set type of flower in mind, just colors. I know my bouquet has to be white, purple and pink. It's a tribute to my Mom, since she is in a nursing home and won't be able to attend. And those are the colors of her wedding bouquet. I will really have to check out the sticky about local Mexico flowers. Hope the page has pictures!
yea i almost had a heart attack when i seen his pants rings in as 445 :o
i died a little inside that day. haha.

i love the idea that you are goning to make a tribute to your mom who cant make it by using the same colours as her bouqet was. thats SO cute. i'm sure she will love it!!

for my grandpa and baba who died i found super cute bouqet charms.. these are the images from the website, not my grandparents, but you'll get the idea.
