Just popping in to say that I too had a fantastic wedding! We got married on the beach on the 28th of April and can't think of anything really worth complaining about. Everything went smooth and my guests had a blast - we are very happy. If there is a question that has not yet been answered I'd be happy to answer and I will post pics ASAP. We used the onsite photographer and are satisfied with the pics chosen. I did my own hair so can't comment of the hair stylist but the couples massage was out of this world! Feels good to be a Mrs! Ciao!

Just as an FYI - I got an email reply from Carolina that said "sandals are ok" when worn with long pants at the a la cartes - so I am not going to worry about what are on the boys feet anymore.

Do any of you ladies know whether or not men can wear sandals with long pants for dinner at the a la cartes?

We were kinda surprised by our awesome wedding party - we are having a Bon Voyage party the end of the month. It is organized like a Jack and Jill. Following that I anticipate that a girls/boys night will be had the first weekend in April as we were asked if we were free separately. It'll be pretty low key as the Dominican is waiting for the real party!

We are having the beach party at the hotel with the DJ offered to us by Carolina. For the $200-$250 charged, I am doubtful we will have access to a website or song list. My suggestion is to have a CD with the songs you MUST have played and ask the DJ to incorporate it into his set. We are bringing 2 CDs with us - 1 with all the "first" songs and another with the ones I would like to hear when we are partying. I think that will be the easiest. If you DO manage to get a hold of a song list please share

Qustion about photographer on site - I have been trying to get info/pricing for the resort photographer. Whie I have got some info it is inconsistent - can someone who has been there maybe offer some info? I saw once that "Jalu" was th resident photographer. When I emailed I got a reply from Peter at "Intistudio". I followed up with Carolina and she sent me pricing for the onsite photographer and it seemed like it was for a company called "Bazaar Co." - what's the scoop?! Online the base package seems to be $450 when you customize your wedding package at the Fiesta website and the pricing I got from Caroline was $300 more - not to sure what info is accurate. Keep in mnd that some groups are able to hold rooms/seats until a certain date before departure. If there are other groups going the same week as you there may be some roms/seats that come available closer to departure (60 days'iah?). Not ideal, but maybe not all is lost for the late bookers.

We are booked for April 28th and we are having a legal ceremony. We are arriving on the 25th and staying for 1 week. 4 months Christmas Day! WhooHoo!

We have quite a large group going and I understand that there are only a couple options for groups over 50 people so I have not yet decided. We will go on the WC recommendation when we arrive. We have a "confirmed" time of 4pm for the ceremony which was perfect for us - I am hoping it remains unchanged for the most part. We also selected to have a private beach party after so my fingers are crossed that the weather will be perfect for such an event and we can dance away with the sand between our toes! 1 - the promos (free seats/rooms) differ from tour operator to tour operator (ie. Air transat vs. Sugnature) so any incentives will depend on who your agent and you actually book with. 2 - I am not 100% sure about vow renewals/symbolic ceremonies on Sunday - I don't see why not but the onsite coordinator will tell you for sure. 3 - I would prefer a beach ceremony too and am gettng married at Palladium Bavaro in April. I have seen pics online you just have to look harder! I think I saw the best ones on tripadvisor - good luck! 4 - Sorry - I have very limited info on the Royal Suites as they were not on our radar for any reason - they sound great form the little info I have come across. Noon - looking forward to hearing from you regarding Jalu - good luck with the "last minute" stuff. Were you not given an official time because it is a symbolic ceremony? We have chosen to have a legal ceremony with a judge and have an approximate time of 4:30 on the 28th. The coordinator told me that they an only have 3 wedding per day with the judge (?). The time is subject the last minute change if the judge "gets called away on official duties". I am hoping that 4:30 will work and flow into the diner/reception nicely.

Thanks for the welcome and congrats! We are staying for 1 week and honeymooning elsewhere the following week - looking forward to sharing ans swapping ideas. For starters - what are you ladies choosing to do with regards to photography? I was checking out the resort recommended "Jalu" and have not made up my mind. Thoughts? Has anyone selected Jalu? I am not interested in spending a small fortune on the services and would prefer to just have the digital images (no album/video/prints). I have asked for a couple estimates and would be interested in some additional feedback. Sadly the photographer we invited as a friend/family has declined to travel and celebrate with us.
