  1. Do you think the photographer would be interested in possibly doing some photos for us and we can split costs? I am not sure what time he/she is arriving but we are getitng married at 4:30.
  2. Katie, Would you care to share some pictures when you return? I am curious to see if you used a resort photographer or your own. Also, did you use the spa for hair and makeup? Anything else you would like to share I would LOVE to hear! We are getting married there in December!
  3. My FI and I will be at SGR Dec 9th- 16th 2013 and getting married on Dec 11th. Just wondering if there is anyone else out there that is getting married around the same time that may want to walk through this together and bounce info off of each other. Or, possibly split a photographer.
  4. I know it's been awhile since you guys posted this but would someone mind sending it to my email? I can't get it to pull up either. [email protected] Thank you!
  5. Oh, AND I put together the basics of our wedding website!! Sorry, I had to add one more thing to my list to make myself feel better!
  6. Hi ladies! I just joined the site and came across this thread! I too am an August 2009 bride! We still do not know the date just yet. We were planning on doing the traditional church wedding and reception in 2010 and JUST changed our minds! I think a DW will be so much better but now I am stressing out since I have so little time! I just looked through all of your posts and I feel a little stressed. I don't know if I will be able to get everything done. We are going to St. Lucia and I plan on just doing everything through the resort. I really just want something low key. Here is what I have done so far: 1. Got a travel agent- working with TA Jennifer now to set date and book rooms & flights 2. Got the dress!!! I bought it for the church wedding but luckily it will still work! Sadly, that is about it! I may need a ton of help from you all! I am not big into weddings so I am pretty lost here. I do have a major question to ask; since we are so close do I still need to do STDs or just do invites I know what invitations I want to use and I am just waiting on finalizing the date before I order them. Any thoughts? PLEASE HELP!
  7. Hi~ I wasn't sure where to post this (forgive me I am a newbie!) but I have seen posts on here asking about wedding websites. I just came across one that gives you a free site and includes your name in it. Check out: Wedding Planning Guide and Free Wedding Websites - mywedding.com They have tons of designs (you can even order invitations to match), you can upload pictures, have a blog, have guests RSVP, and have music playing on the site. Just an FYI! Hope this helps! JLW
  8. If I come across any I will let you know!!! I wish I could at least afford an off site photog but I can't. Plus you have to pay the vendor fee on top of it. Oh well! We just bought a really good camera that we will be taking with us. I plan to make someone take some pics with it just in case.
  9. These are super cute and a great idea! Thank you for sharing them. I think I will use them for my guests. I am not too creative so this is a huge help!!!
  10. We are looking at the Sandals Grand in St. Lucia. I know you are worried about a TA and having one to talk to face to face. I will tell you that I called Jennifer yesterday and she was amazing! She is also very quick to respond to emails even though she is super busy. I have talked to a local TA and I didn't get nearly as much information from her as I did Jennifer! Needless to say I will be booking through TA Jennifer!!! Hope that helps!
  11. Oh, and can you tell me how the resort photog is too!!! I can't find any pics that have been taken by a resort photog and it scares me....
  12. I know what you are saying! I went the Sandals route so I wouldn't have to worry about contacting a million vendors. I liked the idea of just showing up and picking out a few things and getting married!!! I don't want to stress! I want to relax, smile, get married and have fun. If I wanted to spend a ton of money on vendors and have the stress I would have just stayed at home! Anway, I just started this whole DW thing so I don't know much. We are getting married in St. Lucia at the Sandals Grand most likley. It will be sometime in August. We are working on the exact date now. When you get married will you please do me a favor and tell me how it went JLW
  13. Hi ladies! I introduced myself on the newbie thread and now I wanted to introduce myself to all of you St. Lucia brides! We have just decided on St. Lucia and are so excited! We were planning on a traditional church wedding and reception but realized that we would rather spend the money on US and go somewhere fun! We are planning on going this August but do not have a date nailed down yet. I have read through some of the posts and it doesn't seem like any of you are going the Sandals route (at least for the wedding). I can't find a lot of information about it so I just wondered why? I don't want anything to fancy or that cost a lot so I figured we would take the free wedding from Sandals and just do a few ad ons. Any thoughts? Please tell me I am not making a mistake here. Also, do you ladies know where I can find pictures of brides on here that have been married in St. Lucia? I have search through some threads but have had not luck finding any. I have never been to St. Lucia or to a Sandals resort. I am excited but a little scared too. I have heard a lot of great things but some bad about Sandals. Can anyone calm my nerves? Thanks in advance for all of the help!!! I need it!!! JLW
