LOL thanks! I talked to Tracy at ADW and she said 4 will be fine. I have been on Maui when the winds were so bad you thought things would fall over. We stayed at the Westin last time and it was so bad we had to leave the pool area!
  2. Sherrry thanks so much for your reply! I appreciate your input! I have booked the same make up and hair stylist as you as well as photographer. We are having both our ceremony and reception at the Marriott. Maui is pricey for sure but because we only will have about 30 people we decided to go all out. We think of it this way, if we had the Wedding at home we would have about 150 people so having it away is a lot cheaper at the end of the day. We figured the people that are going all the way to Maui with us deserve a nice dinner and party. (Which we are trying to do without breaking the bank) We paid $416 USD for the Pacific Terrace because we asked them for a discount. Norma price is $500. We also negotiated for two Ocean front suites. They didn't want to budge on this one but my fiance finally got them to give i... (One room for us and one for my parents.) The per head count for dinner without booze is about $80.00. We think we will pay about 2k for booze overall. We also have to pay for a DJ, as well as seat covers and table center pieces. We really like the Seawatch but our good friends got married there and we attended their wedding just a couple years ago...plus we think it will be nice to stay all in one place so we don't have to move. Hope that helps. If you have any questions please feel free to ask! * We are also negotiating with the Wedding coordinator re: her fees and charges! (We are trying not to pay full price)
  3. We are getting married in May. Do you think the wind will be the same? We have our ceremony set for 4pm! I am worried now....
  4. That's what we are doing too. We are using A Dream Wedding and they have made it really easy so far. I woud def suggest you get a wedding coordinator. I imagine it would be really hard otherwise...Do you know where you want to have your ceremony and reception? CONGRATS btw!

I wish the SeaWatch would get its butt in gear so we can have the wedding there as planned because it will cost so hmuch more to do it at the Marriott. Of course, being close to the ocean at the Marriott would be really nice... Hey! We are getting married on the Lawn, the same place Sherry and her husband did. Then we are having our reception on the Pacific Terrace there. We are using a Dream Wedding and have been dealing with Tracy. We have put down a 400 dollar deposit so far for the Terrace. I'll let cha know what it come out to! Congrats to you and your fiance!
  6. We are using A Dream Wedding and Mike Sydney as our photographer.
  7. I have been to the Luau. It was after our friends wedding. The grounds are beautiful. The Luau is fun but a bit long...and the food was so/so. Have you been to one before?
  8. We are getting married and having our reception at the Marriott in May! I have been to the Marriott while on vacation last year and LOVED it. I also attended a wedding lunch at Seawatch. It was so pretty. Great place! I can help you in any way I can!
  9. We are having our reception on the Pacific Terrace at the Wailea Marriott. Has anyone else? Any reviews? Thanks!
  10. Great info! Sherry thanks so much for all your great info! We are also getting married at the Marriott Wailea (May 09) and are using A Dream Wedding. As per your recommendations we have also booked Mike Sydney and the same Hair Stylist! I am debating whether or not to get a make up artist or just do my own.... We are having our ceremony on the grounds overlooking the ocean and then out reception on the Pacific Terrace. We have been there before, and this will be our 4th time to Hawaii! (Second to Maui) We will have a fairly small wedding of 25 - 30 people but pretty big considering they are all traveling from Vancouver to be there! Our Wedding colours are Tangerine and Fuschia. I will have to post our Wedding Invites to show you guys! It has been so easy with the wedding co coordinator and we seem to be pretty much done. I will be wearing a Saree (Native Hindu dress) and then changing for the reception. I haven't bought either of them yet. Can't wait!
  11. Thanks guys & Congrats to you both!
