  1. Hi brides! I'm thinking of renting a catamaran or some kind of fun boat for our bridal party during our wedding weekend in Playa Del Carmen. Has anyone had experience doing this? I've paid to take a sunset cruise many times, but I was hoping to have the boat to ourselves for a day of snorkeling, sun-bathing and cocktailing! Would love any input!
  2. Those are really lovely! Do you have a template for how you did the folders? If so, could you post or point me to where you found it in the forum? I bet you are so excited to have them done!
  3. Welcome and congrats! Good luck with the planning - this forum makes it so much easier!
  4. Hi Kelsey, Congrats! I, too, am a Colorado bride and decided between Cabo and Playa for our wedding. If you're thinking July, Cabo will probably be a safer bet to avoid hurricane season (though you can never really predict the weather!). Since we plan to get married in mid-November, we're looking at Playa instead. However, if most of your guests are coming from Colorado - Cabo is an easy direct flight on more than one airline which is another bonus! Don't stress! You will find a wealth of support on this forum!
  5. Hi! Thanks so much for posting the template! Were there special fonts you used? I seem to be missing some fonts as I open the document. Did you use word or another application? Thanks again - really great job!
  6. Hi! Congrats and welcome! The DR is a fantastic idea for a destination wedding - the beaches are really beautiful. And, pretty easy to get to from Atlanta if that is where you/your guests will be flying. I haven't been to the Dreams resort, but stayed at the Iberostar and had a good experience. There are some great all-inclusive options in Punta Cana because very few people go "into town" for food or entertainment! Good luck and best wishes for your planning!
  7. Thank you so much for posting those photos - at least it's still looking like it will be a beautiful resort! I sure hope for everyone's sake the Azul Fives can learn from the kinks it sounds like the Sensatori has gone through. Fingers crossed brides!
  8. Hey brides & grooms! I'm looking at the Azul Fives for our wedding in the fall. Looks like it's going through typical opening/growing pains! Has anyone been in contact with Jo'Veen? She is the coordinator/point of contact I've been emailing. Also - any examples of discounts or group rates at the Azul Fives? I haven't contacted a travel agent (have always done this solo, so have never used one), but am thinking this is the best way to work with the Azul Fives. Any input is appreciated!

    Hello!

Hi brides (and grooms)! My name is Chrissy and I'm newly engaged (going on 2 weeks now of looking at my ring finger quizzically). We have not set a date yet - looking towards the fall of this year - but we're thinking Playa or somewhere else in Riviera Maya. I'm so thrilled this forum exists! The "Destination Weddings for Dummies" book helped a bit, but this is much better! Looking forward to reading and posting!
