It cost me $15.00 for flowers for my hair. Natalia came to the spa during my hair appt and brought me like 6 flowers to choose from. I just gave the rest to others who wanted to use them. If you want to solve the whole cost of speakers for ceremony and wedding so what I did. I purchased an Ipod/CD karoake machine from best buy for 50.00. It fit into my roll on/carry . It came with a microphone so it worked for the ceremony, toasts as well as reception music. For the Bride to be who asked about carrying back decorations from Mexico- I had no problem- I brought everything back- even the glass vases the flower arrangements they gave me in the wedding package.

I sent similair items. Paid 245 dollars to send- it got to Mexico and would not clear customs- I had to pay another 215 to send back. They opened it up and since items were from China, India they said I woud have to pay taxes on it. $1400.00 in taxes. I suggest you put it all in a suitcase. If your wanting your guests to have the stuff before they arrive do what I did. I just sent each guest their bag by fed ex and they brought all their goodies along.

There are 3 photographers- Ruben, Philemon and Andrea. They take pictures of all the daily activities at the resort, nightime activities as well as weddings. I had Ruben- you can check on page 164 to see his work.

OH and I also got the DVD of the Ceremony. It was not cheesy at all. I got to see parts of the ceremony I didn't see cause I was behind Seaside Grill waiting. I also got to really see the expressions of how my Hubby looked when I came down the aisle- as well as my guests. I think if you do decide to do the Ultimate Package dont trade the videographer for something else. Keep it. It is a memory of your vows and you can hear the waves in the background!! I also got to show it to family and grandparents who could not make it. Oscar also asked me what music I wanted and he used our first dance song and another I really liked. Anyhoo just my opinion

Yes I did but not a private one and I didn't have to pay the $750.00 for a private dinner space and the additional 20.00 per person for buffet. Since you can make decisions last minute at Dreams I arrived on a Thursday and called that wednesday night before to see what Thursday Evenings Activities were. It was the Mexican Theme night- they did an outside Buffet so we all met up at 7pm and ate at three seperate tables I then arranged for a bonfire(60.00) on the beach later in the evening for my guests and had 1 on 1 time with my guests(by 8:00pm the beach is quiet) and gave out special gifts, welcomed everyone, etc. We roasted marshmellows and waiters from the Bar next to the Chapel were more then willing to bring out cocktails to us on the beach. It gets chilly at about 7pm so it was perfect!

I did not purchase all 450 pictures. I was very happy with the 50 I chose. Especially since you can go to Kinkos or shutterfly and get copies made super cheap to send topeople. I also had every family member there with a camera taking pictures as well.

Sorry I am confusing you! The photographer took 450 pictures. I was allowed to choose 50 of them which they printed out and had ready for me the day after the ceremony. I was also given a CD of those 50 pictures. For all 450 pictures it costed $350.00- which they printed out as well as gave the CD.

I didnt need to purchase the digital files - they gave me a copy of the CD of all the pics free- It is a read only disc so I have to copy it on my pc to be able to share the photos. If you wanted all the pics printed it costs 350.00

I will post a full review this week sometime but I dont mind questions. I had 23 people. While I was their I saw 7 weddings. Anywhere from 4 people to 120 people. If you have the reception on the beach they will setup a full bar down there and you can have music as loud as you want! That is what I really wanted but it sprinkled for like 10 minutes before my 4:30pm ceremony and then stopped and the sun came right back out- they had not setup yet but once they make the decision at the ceremony time for the reception they wont change it- in case it rains again. I was the only bride that day.

The resort photographer had my pictures ready the next am at 10am. We chose what we liked- we got 50- included in the Ultimate and if we wanted all of them we could pay $350.00- he took 450 pictures. We got the video the day we left and Oscar did a great job. The photogrphers hang out at the hotel all day long- you will notice them wearing red and whie outfits that say photo on the shirts. I would ask who is scheduled for you(if your using) and you can go right up and introduce yourself. We had Ruben and I met Philomen. Andrea was there but in charge of taking pics of all the kids activities. She fell in love with my niece and we saw their everyday at the baby pool taking pics of my niece. I will scan in the resort photogrpaher pics tonight. The 1 pic with my fiance and I by the palm trees was a resort photographer picture. I scanned it in last night as I used it to create a cover for all the cd's/video that Oscar took- I am sending out to my family who missed the wedding .

Yes our room was right in the middle of the action which was actually nice with the pool and the guests(they would all swing by and we were able to spend time with each guest and I didnt feel compelled to have to go to their rooms or meet up for dinner each night. Its close to impossible to get more than 6 people seated together at any of the restaurants other than World Cafe. And our room was the best on our Wedding day- I walked right out to the beach from our room. At night the resort gets super quiet by the pool so we had planty of privacy. It was nice to wake up each am and order in room service and open up the 4 door glass to our room to the sunset.

We were married at 4:30pm- perfect time. The sun was setting but we had plenty of light for pictures. We used the resort photographer with the Ultimate Wedding Package. We booked the wedding in 2008 but were given the 2008-09 prices- BUT we were not charged the extra 10 % and 15 % taxes. The only extras we were charged for were for 3 kids meals- $20.00 each. $15.00 for hair flower and $80.00 to hang the paper lanterns.

Also the crime that others may have been hearing is in downtown Cancun. There was an article yesterday about telling spring breakers to stay away from Cancun. Dreams is gated and we felt very safe.

The weather at the resport was beautiful and sunny everyday we were there and they still provided spa discounts in the daily activity sheet they provided to us each night at turn down. I purchased couples massages for all my guests but everyone also took advantages of the spa discounts and got mani/pedi for 60.00 as well as facial for 75.00. The spa is super nice! Also I read here that someone is concerned about the crime. I will tell you that while we were there we felt really safe. BUT.. Someone who stayed in a room above my mother had someone climb up to their balcony and steal from their room. The hotel takes it very seriously but they do not replace the items. If you leave things out in your room they believe should go into the safe they call the Manager who itemizes everything in your room and leaves a note indicating you should use your safe. HI all. I just got back from Dreams last night. My wedding was absolutely fabulous!!! Dreams was everything I had hoped it to be. You and your guests are in for such a treat!! Natalia- the wedding coordinator is wonderful! I will be writing my review soon. Here are a few things to share: The resort was completely booked while I was there and a Manager that we got to know said the next few months they are at full capacity. Friday, Sat and Sunday are huge daus for weddings- 3 every day. They do a good job of scattering everyone. All of my family except for 1 room all booked in the Dreams side - which I recommend. The Hacienda side has very nice rooms and even good views but the mosquitoes are really bad! I had my hair done with Trinidad- she did an amazing job! The Seaside grill is awesome for the ceremony- super romantic! ill post my review in the am. Oh and if you want to book spa treatments for your guests do it when you arrive. each day there is a sheet put in your room for the days events and spa tratments are like 40 % off in those! They will let you book treatments in bulk. Carlos the Manager is super nice.

I didnt have to pay anything- the $ 50.00 deposit got applied to my package I bought. I love working with destination weddings. Once I chose the resort they created a web page for me and I added my own personal touch. All my guests worked with the destination wedding planner- they took care of all the packages for everyone via apple vacations. They buy in bulk so we got it cheaper.

HI there. SOmeone asked about the lighting for a beach reception- Anabel finally responded. See below: HI Anabel: I will be arriving at Dreams this Thursday. I wanted to ask you 1 question about the lighting. What kind of lighting will you have for the beach reception? Anabel: We’ll set up a reflect for illuminate the beach. Also what is the best way to make payment to you when we arrive? Cashiers Check? Credit Card? Pesos? Anabel: The exchange rates is high so maybe is convenient pay in dollars or with credit card but we have to apply the charge in pesos so maybe is not good for you for the exchange rates. Also I have children at the reception and want to know how much you charge for childrens meals? Anabel: 20dlls for kid’s menu. Can anyone tell me how they dealet with the payments? Grea question about lighting on the Beach. I leave on Thursday for Dreams and I still have not gotten an answer to that one. Im not a fan of the tiki tourches that they offer for extra $$. I do have 4 of my own large candles I am bringing for the reception table to add some mood lighting. Anabel said I could have 1 large table for all of my 23 guests on the beach but who knows about the lighting. I am going to have a bonfire set up after the reception dinner while the music plays so I have know how the heck anyone is going to see?

A few questions for those that have a minute and have the answers. Is there a set day of the week that the hotel does the movie under the stars, the themed shows, fire dancers? I am trying to get an idea of what to coordinate for all of my guests? Also has anyone had their reception on the beach with candles? Do they stay lit? Has anyone had the Three Milks Cake option as their wedding cake? I leave next Thursday for Dreams and am trusting per all the other posts that everything will be wonderful but I still have so many what ifs. I dont really want to pay $150.00 for the speaker system if the ipod docking stataion works but I think I read on one of the posts that some were wired in the room. Anyone know of a place that I can go buy a small speaker system that works with an ipod touch? I just want to have music playing during dinner, etc. Thanks!!!!!!!!!
