I do this all the time now, I'll take 3 packs in a row, give my body a break, and then take another 3 packs, and repeat. I like this so much better than having my period once a month lol, but I guess I'm a bit of a control freak. Initially I started doing this because I did not want my period to come during my high school grad haha.
This is essentially what BCPs like Seasonique and Seasonale do, you take active pills continually and every 3 months there is a "break" to allow mother nature to take its course. It is completely safe for most women but you should still check with your OB before doing it on your own. :) Good Luck

WOW - I don't watch WWE anymore but Edge was my fav back in the day!! I always thought he was so hot!
  4. No Way! Like some of the other girls said not because of the luck factor but just because it will be one of the biggest take-his-breath-away moments in his life! I'm sure he really doesn't want to miss that moment (remind him of that).

At least he's up front about it...I can completely see my FI saying "No I don't want to see it" but I know better - he is the BIGGEST snooper I have ever met!

  5. Today = NO motivation!! My blasted elliptical broke this morning - I've had it for a year, ONE YEAR and this is the second time it has broken! Of course before it was under warranty but now ....ARGH it makes me so mad! It was a lot of money and it's a pile!

So that started my day off wrongly - so I cleaned the house (FI was laughing at me and said that he loves it when I get in a tizz about something because I clean like a mad woman and it's cute - lol). The local gym, thank god, has a one week free trial membership coupon online so I'll be headed there tonight to get my cardio in, but right now I just feel so blah and unmotivated. :-(

  6. I started with 2# also. I've graduated to 5# for a few of the exercises (chest flys, bicep curls, shoulder rows).

I got gutsy the other day, I got into circuit 1 of level 1 and said....you know what I'm gonna try level two. Wow - what a big difference form level 1! It's a lot harder than I expected it to be but was great!

  7. Today was horrible....no exercise (that was planned) but my monthly came and I felt like poo all day. Regardless, I finished my class work, and we headed in to town...I trotted all over the fairgrounds (there was an RV show there today) in pain, then we went to the mall. Found a pair of running shoes on clearance so that made me feel a little better.

Food wise...I didn't eat well at all. I don't know how you ladies feel about eating that first day but it isn't on my agenda. We did go o Ruby Tuesday's for early dinner just had soup and salad bar, so I behaved there :)

Ashley - Planet Fitness is awesome! Like LeAnne said though, the only downfall is that they don't offer classes. I would def check them out though!

  8. Ann - Thank you for running this contest and putting up with everything - I know that everyone appreciates what you do...and your patience.

I've been dieting for about a week now so food wasn't a problem for me. FI though is "Getting bored with diet food" I'm gonna make him a killer healthy breakfast tomorrow to get his interest back :)

Today was so hectic! I did my normal AM cardio with The View then it seems like the day just took off! I had a ton of homework due for the economics class I'm taking over break, and we have an exam tomorrow so I wanted to be sure to have time to do the practice exam today. Also, had to run to Wally, tanning, and get another work out in.

So it's 10:30 here in NY and I'm finally done. So good job to everyone on getting through day 1 and keep up the good work!

For some reason I never wondered how many calories I was burning 'till last night LOL So I'm curious to hear your findings!

I am so kicking myself in the butt for not buying 5# weights last night while I was out and about. 3# is getting to be too easy....but I didn't realize how easy 'till I got home and did the workout sad.gif

this time my fiance says he's going to diet too, which should help a lot. it's a lot easier to eat a salad when you're not sitting next to a guy eating a cheesesteak, LOL!

we're going to have one last pizza tonight while watching the flyers game. then it's back on track, and back to the gym (i haven't been there since november)! after all, the wedding is sneaking up on us!

FI si dieting with me too - but it's more of a pain for me that a help because we are on different diets. He is big into body building and spends HOURS in the gym lifting so he does a super high protein diet.....I on the other hand do a low-fat diet with heavy cardio and moderate strength. He is just always trying to tell me to eat more of this or more of that and I keep saying do you know how much fat is in that? To each his own :)

We have a ritual of pizza form a local pizzeria every friday night...so last friday was our goodbye to Angelo's pizza frown.gif That is one habit I can not break - pizza!
  11. Two big things with bronzers: be sure to rub them in well and wash your hands. Right as soon as your done tanning wash your hands and the bronzers shouldn't stain them. My tanning place actually has wet naps at the desk you can take so that right after you apply your lotion you can wipe your hands to avoid staining. You could buy a travel size Wet Ones to use on your hands after lotioning up...but like I said usu washing your hands right after you tan is sufficient enough to keep them from staining.

  12. Low Fat Graham Cracker & Red. Fat Peanut Butter

And on night I feel like indulging...Ben & Jerry's Low Fat Frozen Yogurt - Chocolate Fudge Brownie!

  14. Hello! I think I may be joining you ladies in this section of BDW. I was originally a resident of the Dominican Republic forum but after rethinking things we have decided that it would be best to move our wedding closer to home. My brother and his SOON-to-be-wife will be traveling with baby and my family just has SO much going on in the next year! ANYWAY - we're looking at the Hilton Head Island area - maybe Daufuskie Island? Tybee Island? Still undecided.

But I've been poking around here for a few days and have found a lot of useful info already! Lookin' forward to chit-chatting and planning with you ladies!

  15. Wow Andi - 10lbs! Kudos to you!

I just got mine the other day...I started it the 29 and I really feel good. The first day I was very tired by the end, the second day I noticed it was easier but still a few of the moved were challenging....each day gets better. It's day 4 and I'm not so sore anymore - that means it time to start pushing harder :-)
