  1. I too am looking for resorts in Jamaica. I found a good list and was able to put in my dates at resortvacationstogo.com. On this site, I put in my destination and searched for packages which included hotel and air. The site gave me some good ideas of resorts (which you can research) and a ballpark figure for flights. Try it and let me know if this helps.
  2. Your health and the baby are the most important issues here. I agree that you don't have to give a specific reason for postponing. I think a short note with the new date and all pertinent information is appropriate. If guests have already made deposits, they should be given the opportunity to get a refund or apply it to the new travel arrangements. I experienced something similar when I got married. When I got engaged and everything was planned for my upcoming wedding my mother became seriously ill. We had to postpone our wedding for a year. We notified everyone with a beautiful engraved card which included the new information. The banquet hall was willing to push our date back a year because we had paid for everything, so this wasn't a problem. We did get married a year later and my mother was able to attend. Take care of yourself.

    Hello

I had the bride create a wish list. Here it is: -Family Resort that accommodates kids -All Inclusive -Beach or Gazebo Ceremony -Sit down dinner reception -Max price of $1200.00 per person which includes 4 days/3 nights stay and airfare. I am trying to find a travel agent to work with. I'm not sure but I was wondering if there are any on this site? Also, I wanted to tell you guys that your pictures are absolutely beautiful. Congratulations!

    Hello

Hello everyone. My name is Donna and I live in Illinois. I am already married but have agreed to plan my youngest brother's wedding. The dates have been narrowed down to June 6 or 13, 2009. I am waiting for the couple's decision. I have never planned or attended a destination wedding. I joined this forum because after reading many of the posts, I feel that the participants are friendly, have great advice and ideas and are very supportive. Even though I have been married for quite a while, I still enjoy hearing about how others celebrate their love and special days. I looked at a few other sites like DW and didn't like the idea of having to pay to show my commitment or being locked into working with one person (what if we don't work well together?). Not to mention, this forum has so many fresh ideas and advice is given from peole who have experience planning this type of event. I am looking for something extra special in Jamaica. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. I look forward to participating and making new friends.
