  1. Hello All, Now that I am married, what do I need to do in the U.S. to make it official here? Do I need to translate it and submit it to my county? Kristina
  2. I am ending up doing the reception dinner at the Mexican restaurant and then I rented out the Pancha club from 8 to 11. I will have a DJ, open bar (all liquor) and I sent in my own music. After that, we will probably just stay there til we drop for the night. Just a suggestion.
  3. I got that one and I also received one that was: 23410 Cabo San Lucas, BAC Mexico 23410. I went to FedEx today to ship the package and just a warning to all that wants to ship to Mexico.. prepare to pay. For a 10lb box, it was going to cost me $235 and it would not get there for at least 6 days. Needless to say, I am checking my box. Kristina
  4. Hey girl... You know I am in the same boat as you. We leave Tuesday so we will see you down there. At this point, I think it is all out of our hands. Just have fun from here on out. After reading the reviews, I am confident that it will all just fall into place. And if it does not, who cares. The important thing is you and your fiance will say I DO and live a wonderful life. Any mishaps will just be funny stories to tell down the road. Look for us by the pool. I am tall with dark hair. I most likely will have a red head and blonde girl with me and my fiance is tall with dark spikey hair. Good luck with everything if I do not see you.
  5. Hello All, I need to ship a package to Riu Palace today. Does anyone have the shipping address? I asked Daniela but have not heard back. Also, do you know if they will deliver gifts to the rooms for all my guests? Getting excited... Kristina
  6. That is great to hear. Congratulations on your wedding. I am glad everything went well for you. I have less then 3 weeks until I get there. It could not come faster..... Kristina
  7. After doing research and talking with Daniella, we have decided to book the nightclub from 8 - 11. I also found many posts on this subject as well. Thanks.
  8. After talking with Nanner and others yesterday, I started digging into how I want my reception to be because I am not sure semi-private would be much fun. I was thinking of taking Nanners advice and do the dinner (semi-private) from 6:30 to 8 then rent a spot out for the rest of the reception 8 to 11. I was looking at the Mexican terrace. Question is, does anyone know if the terrace would be big enough for 51 guests all dancing or hanging out or should I look somewhere else? Also, because we most likely would not have a bar out there, is the bar too far for folks to walk to get drinks or do you recommend us having an open bar out there. Any help would be great as I am finishing up the final details. Kristina
  9. No, that does not make sense that you have not talked to her in that long. In fact, just now I even received a check list of stuff I need to get completed, she told me to send her my whole guest list and a wedding rules list for me to sign and fax back. She also gave me the consulting meeting time, and blood test time. With that said, I just booked everything in July so she could be playing catch up with me. I asked her about the 25 rooms question so once I get the reply, I will let you know. you may want to get in touch with her. Put your wedding date and time in the header. We get in on Tuesday the 11th.
  10. One last thing... we have 25 rooms booked (including ours). Do you know if we get our room at no cost or did we need 26 rooms booked? I know the rule was 25 and you get yours free but we are on the cusp. Kristina
  11. What a great idea. I did not realize you could book a spot without having the whole meal there. Thanks for the info. I will have to talk with my fiance' about that and see if it is open. Are you having drinks there as well and if you are, do you have to pay a fee for the drinks? I email Daniela regularly with questions and she normally replies back within 24hours. The last thing I need to give her is my flower order and if I want to up the cake count, etc. Guess she is making the final bill. BTW, Hope you have some single friends coming. I am sure some of my crew would be happy if you did. HA.
  12. Thank you to all your greetings. The only thing I can say is I so wish I knew about this site a few months again when planning.
  13. I will use the same title since I am getting married on the 15th of November at the Riu Palace. (see you there Nanner) Question: I have about 55 guests coming to Cabo. Most of which are between 26 and 38. **I feel sorry for the bartenders already. To make this wedding as cost friendly as possible, we chose just to have the reception dinner at the Mexican restaurant as a semi-private event since that is what was included in the package. My fear with this is I am not sure what to expect. Daniela mentioned that there will be room for a small dance floor (first dance only) but in all reality, are we all going to be able to get up and dance and actually have a good time pre and post dinner? Second question is: If this is the the right spot for us, what do you suggest? By all the papers Daniela sent me, to do a private event, it looks like I would have to pay for a private spot of $500, then pay per head to eat which is about $30, then $15 a head for open bar. This will add an additional $4,000. Is this right? Kristina
  14. Hello all: I am getting married November 15, 2008 at the Riu Palace in Cabo. Little more then a month away... Very Exciting. Wish me luck as time is approaching fast. I will also check back on the site when it is over to give some advice for anyone else that is getting married at the Riu in Cabo. Take care, Kristina
