Thanks Meghan. I'm glad you got your photography situation sorted out with the hotel. The wedding industry really does try and get you where ever they can! I found a photographer from Streetsville, Crimson photo's (I think that is part of Oakville) that I fell in love with and got a great deal with her. She was offering the first 3 destination weddings that she booked for 2010 1/2 price on her destination packages *plus paying for her trip*. It ended up being a little more then my other half wanted to spend on photo's but I convinced him that it was something that you had for a lifetime.

Hi Ladies, We are debating on what to do with the music...DJ or bring I POD. We really want to have good music that people will want to dance to all night and don't know if it is worth getting the DJ (with the crappy selection of music he had last time) but at the same time we would rather not spend the time loading the I POD just to have someone man it on the day. Has anyone that has gotten married lately used the DJ that they have on staff? If so did you like them? Did they have the same selection of old music? Any suggestions??

I am with the Wedding Holiday as well, I got a email a few days ago asking if I had looked over the wedding package, extra services and banquet kit but she didn't include any form to fill out. I guess I will have to ask her. Thanks Meghan Thats weird about us not getting the emails anymore!

Is anyone else not getting the email of the new posts as an email in the morning. I am subscribed to this post and have it ticked to be notified when a new post is here but for the past week I have not been getting the email as requested and cant figure out why.

Anybody else TOTALLY worried about this flu outbreak?!! Our friends and family are asking if we are even going to bother going now or to just call it off and do something small here. I am frustrated because we had a vision in mind and now everyone is putting the two cents in. Not to mention we would loose money as well if we did back out!

I have been reading some of the threads to my FI about what some of you are spending and he is starting it get his panties in a bunch! LOL He is worried that our budget is too low (because apparently I want "everything" LOL), the whole idea for going away to get married was to save money but now it looks like that might not happen and he is not happy about that. Here's hoping that we don't go toooo over budget because I don't think I can handle a year of talking about being over budget!!!!

Thanks for the new pics! They look great :-) After the poor reviews on trip advisor this really lifts my spirits. I too asked my TA about the reviews and she just told us to be patient because there is bound to be a few glitches in the beginning. I am hoping that since we are getting married in 2010 that all these problems will be worked out by then.

Does anyone know the reason behind them not wanting us to use Del Sol as the photographers?
