  1. lucky... I am stuck with an outdated version of windows.. I don't even have any good fonts. It is a bummer because my computer at home has it, but not at work so I can't work on something at both places... booo
  2. I was going to do the program on the fan, but I got the foldy fans, and it isn't going to work, so now I am just going to hang our logo from the fan. Still working on the program though...
  3. WOW! Beautiful! I thought that was stock photos from the photag, didn't realize that was you. So amazing!!!
  4. Super cute! I was thinking about doing something similar but scared of getting myself into a huge DIY by myself.. I love paperandmore.com I just ordered paper there for our invites. Your passports are beautiful, you have inspired me to get cracking on mine!!!
  5. Thank you ladies for all of your posts. I just got emailed today from Josh's mom about what to wear, so this was very helpful. I found a bunch of cute dresses on Newport News & JC Penny!
  6. OMG! I am SERIOUSLY impressed!!! You have done an incredible job, I am jealous!!! You are going to have an unreal wedding! Can't wait to see pictures!
  7. This is really awesome! I love the spanish translations you hope they won't use... hilarious! My FI will love that. Do you have your Riviera Maya logo available? I love that font
  8. How have you guys handled payment? Have the guests been able to call in and give their credit card #, or did you have to collect checks from the people? I am haveing a hard time with the rooms coordiantor at the Palladium Mayan with this.
  9. I like the mango and pink. At first I thought I liked the other ones, but they are a little plain. Maybe if she found a more bright blue/teal to pop. Are you going to carry these colors through your wedding though, cause the mango and pink might be a bit challenging.
  10. Thats sweet of you to start looking! She will be so excited when you propose! About the kids - another thing to think about is that the resorts have a kids club where you can just send the kids if they are of a certain age, if that becomes an issue. My fiance proposed with a beautiful ring, but not the engagement ring, then we picked it out together, which I really appreciated so I could get exactly what I wanted. Just a thought
  11. Thanks for forwarding me to your post. Funny that your FH started the research, mine is getting into the process too and is realizing the difficulty. I feel like every time we get to a spot where we are ready to send in our deposit, another added charge is noticed. We really like the Palladium but they are charging us for the ceremony, extra $20/pp over 8 for the ceremony, then $45-55 pp for a private reception. This seems like a bit of double dipping since our guests are all staying at the resort AI. Also, having challenges getting a room block set up. They want us to pay them, then collect the $ from our guests. This is tacky and makes it much more difficult. Let me know if how your search is going! Thanks!
  12. Anyone having their wedding at Palladium? We were looking at Barcelo also, but sided with Palladium. Not sure which is better.
  13. I think those are beautiful. I think it looks best to have the names in a neutral font to pop against the script text. Another question, I noticed a lot of you are getting married at Dreams Cancun, any input on how you came to chose that resort? We are looking at the Palladium Riviera Maya right now, but are running into some challenges on the room block. They want us to pay for all the rooms and get reimbursed from the guests, which is super tacky. Any advise?
  14. Has anyone had any experience with setting up a room block at the GP? Sounds like we have to pay for it all and then get our guests to write us a check. This seems pretty tacky, but Olga said if we want the group rate we have to do this way. Anyone else go through this
  15. It was listed on their pricing sheet that it was $13 pp for cocktail hour. Not sure of the exact details. We are going to do the private reception dinner at $50 pp, hopefully they don't try to charge us the extra $20 pp for the reception. We shall see, it has taken the WC Rocio forever to get back to me.
  16. We are planning to get married in the Mayan Riviera, probably at the Palladium or maybe Barcelo or Iberostar. Originally we liked Playa del Carmen, but after noticing that there are sandbags out in the ocean there, we changed our mind. If anyone has any input on Palladium vs Barcelo. We are trying to figure out where the private receptions are held, we wants something with a roof, but also open air, preferable by the ocean.
