  2. Okay...so we leave on Wednesday to go to Dreams and I just realized that we don't have a DJ. Do they handle this when you get there? I e-mailed Cecilia and got no response. Panicking a little bit!

  4. I'm at about 25 people right now, and when I e-mailed Cecilia to ask if we could swap out the cocktail hour for 5 more people and hair/makeup for my bridesmaids, she said that the only thing she could do was offer us extra centerpieces and gazebo decoration... Any suggestions?

  8. So...my Travel Agent called and said that as of right now, Gaby is still at Dreams...in her e-mail to me she said that this coming Monday was her last day...but so far no one else seems to have heard this but me. Does anyone else know what's going on?

Hey girls, I'm never here...but I just got this from Gaby after I tried to check in with her about some things and wanted to let everyone know: Unfortunately I’m not going to be longer with the company they think that I’m not good here so this Monday you are going got have another wedding planner I’m not going to be working here anymore L It was a pleasure to work with you J Gabriela de Freitas So...of course...I panicked and sent an e-mail to Claudia and got this in response: Dear Jessica: Your wedding is scheduled with us on the date you asked Gaby, next week you will be informed who will be your wedding coordinator Thank you Claudia Cantillo.

  11. Hi everyone!!! Kat, your photos are beautiful!!! I have a few questions, I've read MOST of the forum and I don't know if these have come up...sorry if they are repeats!! -Did anyone need a handicapped room? One of my guests has a really difficult time getting around, and we were thinking of booking a handicapped room...I've been waiting FOREVER for Dreams to get me a picture of what they look like. (On that same note, how difficult would it be for a person with difficulty walking to get around Dreams?) -We're trying to do a live webcam feed for people who aren't able to make it. Dreams says that they'll have it up and running by April of '09...but has anyone else been able to pull it off? How did you do it? -A few travel websites that I've read about have said that Dreams sometimes overbooks and people get kicked out and moved to other hotels. Did that happen to anyone? -With guest passes...I know Kat said that she didn't need them, but did anyone else manage to get them for free or at a lower rate? My travel agent said that they've done it before, but I didn't know how cheap they would be willing to go! Sorry so many questions!!! It's still a whole year away and I'm already bouncing off the walls waiting for it to come!
  12. So...we are thinking about doing a site visit. Has anyone else thought about this? There are just so many options and questions...I don't know how confident I am about making all these decisions without seeing everything!

  15. Yeah...I don't know it's just the language barrier or if she really is beating around the bush. She seems to get back to my e-mails quickly, but she rarely answers my questions fully. Is anyone having better luck with Claudia or another WC?

  18. So...I was on the Dreams Resorts webpage the other day and I noticed that the FAQ section has changed. It used to say: Will there be other weddings taking place on the same day as ours? * No. Your special day is yours and yours only. But now it says: Will there be other weddings taking place during the same time as ours? * No. Your special time is yours and yours only. Does anyone know how many weddings can be booked per day? Since mine is on a Saturday I'm envisioning a row of brides tapping their feet impatiently waiting for me to hurry up and get out of the gazebo! I've been asking Gaby, but she keeps telling me not to worry since anyone else on October 10th will be working with another wedding coordinator. I'm probably panicking over nothing, but I figure this is probably the place to do it!
  19. JUST CONFIRMED!!! Getting married October 10, 2009! I've been getting a lot of responses from Gaby, but that might be because I'm using a travel agent as well...she usually gets answers to my questions within a couple of days.
