I am trying to be prepared and send my photographer examples of shots that I like, but I have done research and only accumulated a few pictures =o( It would be such a help!! This Rabbi doesn't do weddings unfortunately. I spoke with him about 1 month ago and he told me that he prefers not to do weddings because it is a lot of trouble to find out if both bride and groom are jewish and etc. =o( I found a Rabbi in Guadalajara but getting married in Cancun - the flight is so expensive i might as well fly my own Rabbi from NY...

Thanks for the responses ladies. Dreams Tulum and Cancun have not gotten back to me regardless of the thousands of emails I've sent and few voicemails I've left. I kind of don't want to get myself involved in a situation where people aren't going to pay that much attention to me do you know what I mean? So there is no way that Riu Las Americans will coordinate a private reception for me? I mean don't get me wrong, I am willing to pay however much I need to I don't expect it to be included. What about Gran Bahia? I have been in contact with them and they are attentive and very accomodating, but I feel like I need more options. I am having problems with availability for my date. I def want an outdoor reception. More info please!!! Thanks!

Hi ladies! I am looking into Riveria Maya and Cancun for October 25th. I've been in contact with a few hotels, but I need a hotel that will provide us (we'll pay, obv) a private reception (dinner, dancing). I'm totally confused and my parents and in laws need my decision by Monday so they can put the deposit down! We are expecting a min of 50 ppl. I've looked into Dreams (no1 has gotten back to me after about 10 requests that I've submitted), Iberstar Lindo (Riveria Maya), Gran Bahia Principe (which so far I like bc the WC responds so quickly), Riu Palace Las Americanas (which I like as well, but cant figure out re: private party), and a few others that didn't have my date available. Can any1 recommend me a hotel to look into that will work with the private party I need? HELP HELP HELP PLEEEASSEE!!!!

Hi Ladies. I am looking into this hotel. The Akumal side. I like that the WC responds to me rather promptly (usually within 24 hours) and she has been very good with answering all my questions. I def. need a private reception does any1 know if it is possible to have our private poolside dinner set up with a dance floor and a dj so it can flow right from eating into dancing, or kind of both at the same time? Thanks!

Thanks for the responses! We are expecting around 50 people, possibly more. I e-mailed Dreams about 7 times in the last 2 weeks and I haven't gotten a response from them at all. I've been in contact with a bunch of hotels but I can't figure out the best way to go. I want a private party after the ceremony, and a lot of hotels want you to go to their inclusive rest. - not for me. Can any1 recommend a hotel that has nice private receptions? AND THANKS AGAIN!

Can any1 tell me if Gran Bahia offers private receptions? And if so what are the prices for all the extras? TYYYY. Trying to decide on a place, totally confused.
