  1. Karen you are going to LOVE him! Honestly he is so much fun and such a nice guy. Plus he's obviously incredibly talented. His passion will rub off on you! I can't wait to see how your pics turn out!

Thanks everyone else for the photo love! Fer gets all the credit wink.gif

I also should add that I likely wouldn't have been able to hire Fer without the help of Morgan and Tammy from BDW...Morgan donated her free 3-night Dreams stay to me so that Fer could use it for his trip to Cabo, and Tammy made it all happen. I know I've said it before, but you ladies are amazing and I owe you so much!

  2. Hi there, and welcome!

Before I switched to Dreams, I was planning my wedding at the Fiesta Americana (in the Imperial Suite). It's a gorgeous property but the prices are a little crazy, and they aren't great with negotiating. If you have the money though, your wedding will be amazing! There is no way to get around the music curfew - it's a Los Cabos law, not just the Fiesta Americana. You will find the same rule at all Cabo resorts.

Search the forum as a couple of brides have had their wedding at the FA, and you'll find lots of reviews and pictures on here.

    Happy Planning!

  3. I wanted to review my photographer separately, because he was the best decision we made for our wedding.

After I had a rocky experience with the first photographer I hired, I decided to forfeit my deposit and go on the hunt for a new one. As soon as I saw Fer’s website and blog, I knew he was the photographer for us. I can’t even put into words how amazing Fer is and how unbelievably blown away by him we are. He went WAY above and beyond what we hired him for, and his pictures are like nothing I’ve ever seen. I couldn’t be happier with our choice. He is such an incredibly friendly and upbeat guy as well – he got along great with all of our wedding guests, and everyone was as blown away with him as we were. After he finished shooting our reception, he went and put together a slideshow and screened it for all of our guests in the disco about an hour later. It was amazing. The slideshow has over 250 awesome pictures – I can’t wait to see the rest he took! He has so much passion for what he does, and it totally shows. He was a pleasure to work with and I wish we had a reason for him to come shoot us again, because he’s just that good! I recommend him 100000%!

I mean what other photographer would lie down in the middle of a busy Cabo highway just to get a shot?! (click on the pick to make it bigger if it's showing up small).

I love Fer, and if you hire him, you will love him too!

  4. You should be able to get a free upgrade to a honeymoon suite by holding your wedding there. Most Dreams Cabo brides I know had this (including myself). Just ask your WC at Dreams. I think it was definitely worth it as we had a lot of extra stuff, and the additional room in the suite came in handy for sure.

  5. My hugest stresses were getting people to RSVP and book (again, we had a number of people saying "we'll be there" but I never really believed it until they booked). Even so, a number of people booked on their own and were doing different travel dates so it was tough for me to organize the one group activity I wanted to do (sunset cruise) because I didn't know who was there on what day. It ended up working out but we paid for like 10 extra people on the sunset cruise than we needed to (no-shows). Oh well.

The RSVP situation also made it really hard to budget since we had no idea what our final number would come in at, and everything is pretty much based on a per-person cost. I just picked my best guest and used that and hoped it wouldn't be more.

My last stress was my irrational fear of people not having a good time. I just really wanted to make sure that everyone would feel that the trip was worth it and that they didn't spend all that money to go to Cabo for nothing! It was a dumb fear though. Our guests are all amazing and super fun and that made the week one of the best weeks for everyone who went I think. People are still talking about it now and everyone wants to go back to Dreams again next year!
