ok - I will be there and wedding will have been all done. When do you want to meet (before or after the coordinator? Are you staying there more than 7 days?? I cant believe this time next week I will be there and having a wedding!!! Never been to Punta Cana before but have been around the carribean.

Hello - I am finally hearing more from Miguelina now - probably because it is getting close to the date -. It takes her a couple days to get back to me but she did call once by surprise and I called her once and she was very responsive. Even asking her for an appt on my arrival date and her confirming it made me much more at ease - at least I know I have that time reserved with her when I get there if nothing else gets done in the meantime. I keep making her send me the invoice and then I keep correcting it. I emailed her immediately after recieving Viviana's goodbye email and she and Yadilis assured me ( a week later!) that she was the one that took care of everything anyway and I probably wouldnt have really seen Viviana once I got there. I asked her in the email to send me an invoice of what she had already based on the file left for her without saying anything else and when she did it was 7500.00! So much for the keeping it simple with "chill out chic" package! The taxes on the invoice are different from the calculator and are listed 26% per item. I am glad I did that because it forced me to change my thinking about the whole thing and I was able to get the invoice down significantly and very much happy with my new plans. So, yes - I suggest emailing her and asking for your invoice from her with your vision implemented so far and then start making your changes through the invoice - it really puts closure just knowing.

Ha Ha - You guys think of everything!!!! I would not ever have thought about a plug situation!! I am bringing my steam iron (only thing that needs a plug besides the phone!!) Foxy and Otis - You gals are awesome and always have a response - its been the best wedding planning and journey getting there thanks to you guys, just want you to know that! Lindsay - What day do you arrive at Paradisus? My wedding is on the 4th but I dont leave till your actual wedding day on the 11th. If you want to meet up in the resort for a drink - I can let you know the whole scoop on how mine went. I changed things around a bit because of the heat and working on getting the best of both worlds for the wedding and the cost is actually getting less and less. 9 days till departure!!!!! Yippy Yay!!

Is there anyone getting married at the Paradisus this July? I finally heard from the new WC since Viviana is gone and its been very challenging changing things and trying to get the best out of everything for our money. The invoices are much higher than I anticipate and it just seems very unorganized. Just wondering if anyone is getting the same thing as I am. Any past Paradisus Punta brides out there or any coming up - please respond - I would like to know how the invoicing goes when you get there or do you pay in advance or do they bill you afterwards!!! 16 days to go and counting down!!!

Would anyone like to meet for a drink at Steves Corner Bar late afternoon on Sunday July 6th?? Say around 4pm?? My stay is from the 2nd till the 11th at the Paradisus Punta Cana and I am getting married there on the 4th. Counting down the days!!

Yes - I have received the same email from Viviana and I am not very happy about it....... I feel like already here we go!!! I knew everything was just going a little to smooth. She was awesome and I had just emailed her about some last details and now I feel like I have to start all over!!!! LOL - I guess all we can do is re-send emails and hope for the best!!! I have to admit though, I am worried now,,,

I am getting married on July 4th this year at the Paradisus . So far the WC has been awesome and answers all my emails - I have the calculator as well and so far she has not been able to cut a break on anything, including the fireworks (which annoys me a little) but I have to say , she has been consistent with me and answers all my email in a timely fashion). so, it is what it is, I will let you know how it all comes together when I get there. So far I haven't read a bad review yet on a wedding at this resort! I am however, saving all my emails and holding them to whatever we agree upon before I get there!

FOXY, What photographer did you use and can I ask why you didnt choose the beach location for your ceremony? Thanks

Absolutely Amazing - Perfect. Where did you get the shells and starfish for the table? THey also let you put that on the basic cake? I am ordering a cake that doesnt look to much different and I am getting charged 8.00 per person.

Please tell all!!!! 9000.00 is a huge difference in a bill and I am making sure that I have everything printed and pricing settled before I leave - Do Not want that extra stress when I get there. That price is outrageous - I am having my location with a bar near by so we have it anyway - I refuse to buy any booze in an all inclusive resort.

Ha Ha - I understand how frustrating (exciting..) it is planning this from afar. I will be leaving from my wedding the day of yours. You do have to pick the location 3 weeks before and reserve any extras as quickly as possible so its locked in. I picked my location by the Gabi Bar. I was going to have a reception with an open bar and longer cocktail hour and then decided to just take the chill out chic package for what it is and locate next to a bar so guests can drink for free like they should be able to! I decided that No way am I paying for a open bar in the middle of an all-inclusive resort. I decided to put the money towards a firedancer, DJ and Trio band for my ceremonyn instead . Thanks for the Palm Frongs tip for privacy Foxy - I will be sure to mention it when I get there!!. I downloaded some vows from the internet that I want read and I heard that the WC can do the translate if we ask. I ordered tote bags from my wedding favors.com and they are perfect. The bag itself is 12.00 per and if you want they have the matching dest wedding towel - it is perfect. Try not to stress and Remember we are just Excited! that the best part of this is the Journey Getting there! I try to remind myself everyday!! LOL

Hi - I am having my wedding at the Paradisus Punta Cana on July 4th and am driving myself and my WC crazy I m sure . I have never been to the resort so location has become an issue for me to decide. The beach reception looks lovely but at the same time I dont want my guests sitting in the wind. I heard it is very windy, so maybe ceremony and coktail hour on the beach and then to a restaurant. Has anyone seen the Gabi bar and would they suggest that setting for a reception with a DJ? I am also thinking about the Marino since it has the Ocean View. Any suggestions? Please Help!!!!!
