  1. I feel like this may be a stupid question, but I've been worrying about this....we're getting married at an all inclusive where all of our guests will be staying. For the private events, they charge you and additional amount per person. We're willing to pay this for the wedding reception, but for the rehearsal dinner and a welcome reception we'd like to save some money. Did any of you do a smaller or more informal welcome or rehearsal and not pay extra for a "private" event? I've never been to an AI resort....is it usually possible to just save some tables together in the restaurant or meet in the bar all together?

    Thanks!

  2. Did you join online or the meetings? I found it worked to start going to the meetings first and then continue online. At the meetings you weigh in and it seemed to make me more accountable. The first week is tough but once you see a loss it's worth it and you get used to eating less. I used the online site a lot and planned meals/days in advance so I wouldn't be looking something high points to eat. Also check out Dotti's Weight Loss Zone for points values before you eat out.

  3. We can't decide. We'll be in PV for a week for our wedding but want to spend the following week on our honeymoon. Originally we wanted to go to Belize or Costa Rica but they were more expensive and took longer to get to. For those of you that got married in PV or Mexico, where did you/will you go on your honeymoon? I was looking at Dreams in Cabo.....

  4. Hello,

I didn't think of this when I bought the envelopes, but some of the ones I put my boarding pass save the dates in were pretty bright colored - pink, orange, yellow. I've had several guests comment that they didn't get the STD, but it turns out they thought it was junk mail. Tipfor the future - make sure the envelopes look legit or people won't open them or will even throw them out! Glad I only send out 35!

  5. Those are all great places. If you are trying to keep it affordable for guests, then Ireland is probably out given the Euro and cost of everything over there. We chose Mexico for that reason - a lot of our family is coming in from Chicago and it was still reasonable, plus they can stay at an all inclusive resort. The Southwest is also beautiful, but depending on where you get married it can get pricey. I would think about what's most important to you - a specific setting, time, month, number of guests. Sedona is beautiful!

  6. I know someone who got their dress of ebay - sent their measurements to china and it was asian style. She did this for her bridesmaids too - there were some problems with all the dresses being to small so she had to work w/ a seamstress once she got them but she looked beautiful. My advice if you are going to have it made is maybe order it a bit larger just to be safe and you can always have it taken in.

  7. Thanks, glad to hear I'm not the only one! I'm working w/ lorena at the Vallarta Palace. There's not too much info on here about that resort but I'm keeping my fingers crossed it will all work out. We've already put down a deposit but now we're changing the time and location of the ceremony and I'm anxious to get my invites out. Oh well -- maybe next week! True it is busy wedding time.
